Assemble the card holder.
GET READY
1 Pair up into teams of besties. If only 3 friends are playing, pair
into one team of besties for now—the remaining friend can
read the cards.
2 Shue the Scenario cards and Bonding Moment cards
separately. Place each deck face down.
3 Place the card holder in view of all players.
4 The besties who have
been friends the
longest go first.
Strap the heart locket
halves around your
chests or waists,
adjusting to fit and
making sure the heart
buckles are fastened
around your backs. Fully elongate the straps that connect the
locket halves by holding down the red heart buttons on both
locket halves and pulling apart until the locket halves extend
to the 10 markers.
5 Stand apart from each other
so that the straps are taut.
ON YOUR TEAM’S TURN
You and your bestie will complete
10 Scenarios on your turn.
1 Draw two Scenario cards from
the top of the deck and place
them face up on the card holder.
A third player should be designated to read
the Scenario and Bonding Moment cards out loud.
2 Together with your bestie, count down—“Three…two…one...”—
then, at the same time, call out which Scenario you would
rather experience.
• If your answer and your bestie’s answer match:
Congratulations! You’re one step closer to proving
you’re the ultimate BFFs!
>Turn the knobs on your heart locket halves to retract
the straps to the next numbered marker.
>Put both Scenario cards into a discard pile.
• If your answer and your bestie’s answer don’t match: Time
for a Bonding Moment to bring you two a little closer!
>Draw a Bonding Moment card from the top of the deck
and complete the action together. If you successfully
complete the action, turn the knobs on your heart
locket halves to retract the straps to the next numbered
marker. If you don’t successfully complete the action,
keep drawing Bonding Moment cards until you do!
>Discard both Scenario cards, but be sure to keep the
Bonding Moment cards—these will be counted at the
end of the game!
3 Keep repeating steps 1 and 2 until your team has completed
10 Scenarios. Your heart locket halves will then be united
and you’ll have moved from STRANGERS to BUDDIES to
BFFS! Play then advances to the next team of besties. If only
3 friends are playing, the one who’s been reading the cards
decides which bestie they’ll team up with!
