to read and understand this instruction booklet.
Warning!
▪This product must be installed by persons competent in vehicle electrical installations
▪Care should be taken to ensure that water ingress cannot occur through mounting or wiring
holes
▪Regularly inspect the product to confirm correct operation
▪DO NOT stare directly into the light it produces as permanent damage to the eyes may
result
▪Use only a mixture of soap and water to clean this product
▪DO NOT direct a high-pressure water jet at this product
▪DO NOT allow solvents, fuels and acetone-based cleaners etc. to come into contact with
this product
Installation Notes:
▪Ensure that the mounting surface is completely flat. The lamp is not flexible, and will be
damaged if any attempt is made to mount on a curved surface
▪Always use the fixing screws provided. If a different fixing screw must be used, it is essential
that the screw head fits comfortably in the screw-head recess on the lamp
▪If the screw head is larger than the recess then the lamp lens will be damaged during
installation
▪DO NOT over-tighten mounting screws as this will cause damage to the assembly
▪The 4-10016-D consists of two lamps on a single mounting plate, therefore installation
wiring should be treated as for two individual lamps

▪Before installing the lamp ensure the required mode is set
➢Mode 1: both zones operate together
➢Mode 2: each zone operates independently
➢Mode 3: only when operated using an external flasher unit
▪In each mode some wires have different functions. See ‘Connection Instructions’

Selecting Mode:
▪Connect the black and yellow wires to negative [-]
▪Connect the red wire to positive [+]
▪The lamp will flash to indicate the selected mode;
➢Once for Mode 1
➢Twice for Mode 2
➢Three times for Mode 3
➢Disconnect the wires
▪To avoid accidentally changing the mode once set insulate the yellow wire
Synchronising Multiple Lamps (Simultaneous & Alternating Flash):
▪Set all lamps to the same flash pattern and appropriate phase
➢Lamps set to the same phase will flash simultaneously
➢Lamps set to Phase 1 will alternate will those set to Phase 2
▪Disconnect the power
▪Connect together the yellow wire of all lamps
▪Reconnect the power
▪Check for correct operation

Selecting Flash Pattern:
▪Set lamp to Mode 1*
▪Connect the lamp so that the flash pattern operates
▪Briefly tap the blue wire to positive [+] for;
➢<1 second to move to next flash pattern
➢1~3 seconds to return to previous pattern
➢3~5 seconds to reset to pattern 1
*Once set the flash pattern is also valid in Mode 2
