SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
This product is exclusively intended for the use:
- to pump clean water, rainwater and water slightly soiled / cloudy without abrasive
admixtures, for example, for irrigation of lawns, vegetable beds and gardens. With
the prefilter it is possible to pump water from lakes, streams, rain tanks and other water
sources.
- according to the corresponding descriptions and safety instructions in these operating
instructions.
Any other use is not as intended.
• Do not operate the pump dry (without water).
The pump is not designed
- for continuous operation!
- for pumping drinking water
If the product is used for any purpose other than the intended purpose or if unauthorized
modification is made, the statutory warranty and statutory responsibility for defects as
well as any liability on the part of the manufacturer will be void.
Do not overload! Use the product only for the powers it was designed for. The product
designed for a given purpose performs it better and safer than one that has a similar function.
Therefore, always use the correct one for a given purpose.
Please keep in mind that our products are not designed for commercial, trade or industrial use
according to their intended purpose. We accept no liability if the product is used in these or
comparable conditions.
Where it is required, follow the legal guidelines and regulations to prevent possible

TRAINING
CAll operating personnel must be adequately trained in the use, operation and
setting and especially familiar with prohibited activities.
CAUTION!A
This product can be used by children older then 8 years old and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge only if
are supervised by competent person or have been learned how to use this product,
about safe operation and they understand the potential danger. Children are not
allowed to play with this product. Cleaning and maintenance can not be done by
children without supervision.

Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious injury.
The use of other accessories or attachments other than those specified in
the instructions for use, can cause injury.
• Get to know this product. Carefully read the instruction manual. Learn how to use this
product, all restrictions, and what risks could related with its use. Learn the product quickly
stop and turn off the controls.
• Be careful at work, be concentrated on actual work, and use the common sense.
• If the product is not in use, it should be stored in a dry and secure place out of the reach
of children.
• Never pull the plug from the socket by pulling on the cord. Keep the supply cord away from

• Always disconnect the product from the mains supply before repairing, when changing

• Avoid accidental starting.
• Disconnect the supply (by pulling out the plug from the socket for example):
- Allways, when the machine is without supervision
- Before eliminating of blocking
- Before checking, cleaning or work on the machine
- After crash into another subject
- Allways, when the machine beginns vibrate unreasonably
- When transporting
• This product is designed in accordance with all applicable safety requirements and standards
applicable to it. All repairs should be only made by qualified person and spare parts replaced
by original parts, otherwise the user may be in serious danger.
CThe maximum temperature of the liquid to be pumped in continuous operation
should not exceed +35 °C. This pump is not to be used to pump combustible, gaseous
or explosive fluids. The pumping of aggressive fluids (acids, alkalis, silo seepage etc.)
and abrasive substances (sand) should also be avoided
CNever let the pump run dry and never operate it with fully closed flow.
The manufacturer’s warranty shall lapse if the pump is damaged due to it being
allowed to run dry and no flow.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Never use at the nominal voltage other than 230V/50Hz. The circuit must be properly and
accordingly current protected.
FOR PROTECTION CLASS I MACHINES
• Machines must be powered via a current protector (RCD) with a maximum 30 mA tripping
current.
PREVENTION AND FIRST AID
Note:I we recommend always having:
- A suitable fire extinguisher (snow, powder, halotron) at your disposal.
- A fully equipped first-aid kit, easily accessible for accompaniment and operator.
- Mobile phone or other device for quickly calling emergency services.
• Always follow the principles of first aid in case of any injuries.
• When an electric shock is caused, it is necessary more than anywhere else to put emphasis
on safety and risk elimination for the rescuers. The affected person usually stays in contact
with electrical equipment (source of injury) because of muscle spasms caused by the electric
shock. Traumatic process continues in this case. It is therefore necessary to TURN THE
POWER OFF FIRST using any possible way. Subsequently CALL AN AMBULANCE or other
professional service, and then PROVIDE FIRST AID! Ensure free airways, check breathing,
check pulse, put the affected flat on their back, bend their head and stick out their lower
jaw. If necessary, begin with artificial respiration into the lungs and heart massage.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even if the product is used according to instructions, it´s impossible to eliminate all the risks
associated with its operation. The following risks may occur arising from product construction:

• Electrical hazard caused by touch with parts under high voltage (direct contact) or with
parts, which came under a high voltage due to failure of the product (indirect contact).
• Dangers caused by impossibility to stop the product in best conditions, relate to solidity of
the handle and placing of engine shut down product.
• Dangers caused by shooting up of subjects or splashing of liquids.
UNPACKING
• Carefully check all parts after unpacking the product from the box.
• Do not throw away packaging materials until you have not reviewed carefully if they did not
remain a part of the product.
• Parts of the packaging (plastic bags, paper clips, etc.) do not leave within reach of children,
could be a possible source of danger. There is a danger of swallowing or suffocating!
• If you notice transport damage or while unpacking, notify your supplier immediately. Do not
operate the product!
• We recommend save the package for future use. The packaging materials must still be
recycled or disposed of in compliance with the relevant legislation. Sort different parts of
the packaging according to material and hand it to the appropriate collection sites. For
further information contact your local administration.

COMPONENTS NECESSARY FOR INSTALLATION AND PROPER FUNCTIONING
OF THE WATERWORK

HOW IT WORKS:
The water is pumped into the bellows in the pressure vessel using a pump. On the other side
of the bellows there is compressed air in the pressure vessel, which forces the increasing water
pressure. When the appropriate pressure is reached, the pressure switch disconnects the pump.
The pressure vessel maintains a constant water pressure in the outlet pipe/hose. When water
is collected and the outlet pressure drops below the set limit, the pump switches on again.
The water pressure in the system can be read on a pressure gauge.

INSTALATION OF THE PUMP
Note:I If you’re technically proficient, you can easily mount, connect and commission
the garden waterwork yourself. If you don’t feel technically proficient or have doubts,
entrust this work to experts. During installation, make sure that the parts are properly sealed
and that the parts are mechanically resistant. The formation of a thin jet of pressurised water
in case of poor sealing or rupture may lead to injury (especially eyes)
WARNING!B
The plug of the machine (apparatus) must be unplugged from the mains supply before
any intervention, assembly, service, adjustment, etc. This will eliminate the possibility of
electric shock and accidental start-up of the active parts of the machine.
THIS WARNING IS NOT REPEATED IN ANY FOLLOWING POINTS!

Don‘t plug the power cord in before or during installation!
CCheck the pressure inside the pressure vessel before connecting the waterwork and
commissioning.
CHECKING THE PRESSURE IN THE PRESSURE VESSEL
CAlways measure the pressure with a dry/empty pressure vessel.
Preparation: Before checking the pressure (and possibly inflating the pressure vessel) it's necessary
to disconnect the power supply. Not only for safety reasons, but also to disable the pressure
switch and compressor. Before measuring the pressure/inflation pressure, it's necessary to first
drain the water from the pressure vessel and the outlet water pipes. The water pressure gauge
must have a pressure of "0"
- Loosen and remove the valve cover on the front of the pressure vessel
- Using a standard tyre pressure gauge, measure the pressure on the valve.
- If the pressure is below the recommended pressure, inflate the bellows pressure to
the prescribed pressure.
- After re-checking the pressure, refit the valve cover.
LOCATION
• The pump must be set-up steadily on a horizontal, level surface, sufficiently resistant to
the pump’s weight with the pressure vessel filled.
• To prevent vibration and ensure stability, the pump should be placed on a cushioned base
and secured by screwing the feet to the floor.
• When operating in open water areas (e.g. garden ponds), the pump must be placed on
a level, stable surface so that it doesn‘t flood and prevent it from falling.
• To pump water that may contain mechanical particles, solutes, animals, algae and the like,
it‘s necessary to use a filter on the suction part of the pump.
• The pump workstation should be well ventilated and protected from the weather, where
the temperature never drops below +3°C
CThe pump and the pressure vessel must never freeze! If the water in the pressure
vessel freezes, the bellows will be damaged (cut) by ice. This could damage the pump
body or mechanical seal.

CONSTRUCTION:
NEVER start the pump dry without the suction or pressure piping connected.
Note:I The piping must be sufficiently strong and resistant to negative pressure (metal, PE
or PPR pipes, reinforced PVC hoses, etc.) with the smallest possible length according to
the conditions and location.
• Always use suitable sealing material (tape, tow, gasket) when connecting fittings
Suction pipe
Note:I A suction basket with a return valve must be installed at the end of the suction
section for the waterwork to function properly. Unnecessary increase of suction height and
length of suction piping or its small diameter increases load of water pump.
- A suction basket with a return valve must be installed at the end of the suction section
for the waterworks to function properly.
- Mount the suction basket with a flap on the suction line and immerse the suction
basket in the pumped water.
- Mount 1” flange to the other end of the pipe
- Water the suction line and connect the suction hose to the pump
Pressure piping.
Note:I Fixed/permanent pressure pipes should be installed professionally, not by yourself.
It's recommended to install a shut-off valve at the outlet of the water pressure from the waterwork.
- Mount the 1“ flange on the pressure hose/pipe and connect it to the pump
Pump irrigation
Note:I The pump must be watered before starting. If the pump isn’t watered enough, it
won’t pump, and could also be damaged by the temperature increase.
- Remove the water plug and pour clean water into the pump and fill it completely (until
the water starts to drain through the plug hole).
- After filling, refit the plug and tighten
Power connection networks after the pump is flooded
- Close the shut-off valve at the pump’s pressure water outlet (if installed) and fully open
the pressure line behind it (open/release the water tap)
- If the pump is equipped with a switch, check that the switch is in the "0" off position.
If the pump is not equipped with a switch, switch off the circuit breaker on the line to
the socket.
- Plug the pump's power cord into a power outlet.
- After connection, turn on the pump switch/line circuit breaker.
- The pump motor starts which starts the pump.
- Check the pressure gauge to see if the pressure rises. If so, open the shut-off valve.
- The pressure drops first due to the release of air and then starts to rise again. The water
starts to flow out of the pressure line.
- If the pressure doesn't rise again, stays at the same value for a long time or is zero and
the water doesn't flow out, the pump will need to be recharged.
- If the pressure rises, wait until the air stops coming out of the pressure line, close it and
wait until the pump is switched off by the pressure switch.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
CAUTION!A
To ensure proper functioning of the machine, it is necessary to have it checked and
adjusted by qualified personnel in an authorized service centre at least once a year.
Proper maintenance is essential for safe, economic and trouble-free operation of
the machine.
Failure to follow the maintenance instructions and safety precautions may cause serious injury
or death. Always follow the procedures, safety precautions, recommended maintenance and
recommended checks mentioned in this manual.
• Always make sure that all nuts and bolts are firmly tightened and make sure the machine is
in good working order.
• Keep the machine in good condition, if necessary change warning and instruction labels on
the machine.
• For safety reasons, replace worn or damaged parts. Only use original spare parts and
accessories. Parts not tested and approved by the equipment manufacturer can cause
unforeseeable damage.
• Repair and maintenance work other than described in this section, which are more
complicated, or it needs special tools, let it on our authorized service.
• When frost threatens irreparable damage!
• After long stoppages, make sure the rotor turns correctly by briefly switching the pump on and off.
• If the pump becomes blocked, connect the pressure line to the water line. Open the water line,
Switch on the pump several times for approx 2 seconds, Most blockages can be removed in this way.
CLEANING
Note:I Never use aggressive detergents or solvents for cleaning.
1. Carefully clean the machine after each use.
2. Wipe down the product with a slightly damp cloth or with brush.
3. Clean the cover of the machine, especially the ventilation holes.
4. Potential damage of the parts due to corrosion, can not be assessed as a manufacturing or
material defect.
• If the pump is equipped with a strainer, visually check whether the strainer is clogged
and contains a large amount of coarse dirt. If the strainer is clogged with dirt, it must be
removed, cleaned and flushed.
STORAGE
• Store the machine out of reach of children.
• Turn the motor off and disconnect the mains plug if the machine is not used.
• Allow let the machine to cool down before storage.
• Do not store the machine a long time in direct sunlight.
• Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
• Store machine in a clean, dry, dark and frost-free place, protected from dust and out of
reach of children. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30°C.

• Use the original packaging to storage whenever possible.
• Cover unit with a suitable protective cover that does not retain moisture. Do not use sheet
plastic as a dust cover. A nonporous cover will trap moisture around the machine, promoting
rust and corrosion.
TRANSPORT
Turn the motor off and disconnect the mains plug. When transporting, be careful not to drop,
or otherwise shock the machine. For transport, the machine has to be fixed against slipping and
tipping over.Do not place objects on the machine.

of it must not be disposed of with municipal waste at the end of its working life.
• By ensuring proper disposal of this product after the end of its service life, you
will help prevent any negative environmental and human health consequences
that could could result from improper disposal of this product.Improper disposal
of residual oils, chemicals, batteries, product parts (and similar) can lead to
pollution of watercourses, wastewater, air, soil and have negative impacts not only on
the environment but also on human health.
• Always return the packaging, accessories, refills and product for recycling.
• Contact your local authorities or collection yards for details.
• HECHT services can also be used to dispose of your old electrical and electronic equipment.
We will carry out this process for you free of charge.
Note:I Improper disposal may be punished according to national regulations.
GUARANTEE OF THE PRODUCT

• Damage caused by natural wear and tear, overloading, improper use or intervention outside

• Cleaning, maintenance, inspection and alignment tools aren´t the warranty act and are paid
