IV. Manipulation (Attention: this operation is only for the users who have bought the
hotel management software and the card reader)
Before setting the cards, you should install the driver of the card reader, please refer
to the last part Ⅹof this instruction.
In order to meet the customers¡requirement, especially for the management of hotel,
we prepare seventeen kinds of function cards for the locks as follows:

Note: Only when installing the lock at the first time, it is necessary to use three kinds
of system card: initialization card, address card and clock card .If you just want to change
the time setting of the lock, you can just use clock card to set the time for the lock once
again. It is very convenient if you have PDA, you just need one step to do the same thing,
instead of using these three kinds of card.
1. Initialization Setting
Initialization card is issued and held by the administrator of hotel. It is used when you
install the lock for the first time, reinitialize the lock or reset the lock address.
Initialization card is to initialize the lock. If you want to set the address of the lock, you
must first use the initialization card to initialize the lock. Before installing the lock,
please connect the power line and the button line first and then use the management
software and card reader to set an initialization card. Insert the initialization card into
the card slot; you will hear a sound ¡ di¡ ¡ with the green light on. It means that the
operation of initialization is successful, and you can draw out the card from the slot
now. If you insert the initialization card for many times, it will be the same. When you
use initialization card to initial the lock, the lock¡s data will not be deleted. But if you
use initialization button on the PCB to make this step, the data in the lock will be
deleted.
Note: The red light flickers two times with one sound ¡di¡ , di¡ ¡when inserting the
initialization card into the slot, please make sure there is nothing wrong with the card
first and then press the initialization button on the PCB board for 5 seconds, then
green and red light will flash, then release the button, you will hear one long sound
¡di---¡ , all the data inside the lock will be deleted.
2. To Set the Address Card
Address card is held by the administrator of hotel, it is used to set different
address to different locks when installing the lock for the first time or reset the address
of the lock, Use the management software and card reader to set the address card first,
insert it into the slot of the lock, you will hear a sound ¡ di¡ ¡ with the green light on the
lock panel is on. It means that the operation of setting the address is successful and
the lock address is set as the selected room address (Say: building 1, floor 1, room101).
Unless you use the address card with the same address to the lock, you will not
change the original address inside the lock no matter how many times you insert the
other address card into the lock, and you will hear alarm sound ¡ di¡ , di¡ ¡ with the red
light is on. If you really want to change the address of the lock please use the
initialization card to initialize the lock again before inserting the address card. If you
insert the card into the lock which isn¡t initialized before, you will hear three alarm
sounds ¡di, di, di¡with the red light is on to remind the user to initialize the lock first.

3. To Set the Clock Card
Clock card is held by the administrator of the hotel, it is used to set the clock of the
lock, and make the time setting of the lock accord with the time setting of the
management software. Insert an IC card into the card reader first, and then input the delay
time that you want in the management software so as to set a clock card. Insert the clock
card into the target lock, when hearing one sound ¡ di¡ ¡ with the green light on the lock
panel turns on, it means the operation of setting the clock of lock successes. If the
operation fails, you will hear ¡di¡ , di¡ , di¡ ¡ and the red light is on. Insert the clock card
again and again; the time will be changed to the clock that is set to the card.
4. To Set the User (Guest, Client) Card
The desk clerk issues the user card and distributes the cards to the guests and
allows them to open the door with the cards during the setting time, used by the guests of
hotel. First, insert the IC card into the card reader, select one room from the software, and
input the hours and days that he/she is going to stay in the hotel. Insert the user card into
the corresponding lock and you will hear one sound ¡di¡ ¡ with the green light on the
lock panel turns on, at this time, the lock is unlocking. Draw the user card out, turn the
lock handle, and then the door will be open. Guests must open the door before the green
light turns off. If they did not draw out the card within 3 seconds, the lock will be
automatically locked again. You will hear the alarm sound ¡di¡ , di¡ ¡ with the red light
flashing two times when the operation fails. Please draw out the card and check it.
If you want to make user card to open other room, choose other rooms you want and set
it in the software. If you want to learn more information about this please refer to the
instruction of our software. PS: one user card could be set to open five rooms at the
most.
The lock is in default status when initialized, which means you could use user card to
open the door even the lock is locked inside. But if you want to set the lock to the other
state ¡Reject client card¡, you should set it by PDA, please refer to Pic6.12.
5. To Set the Room Forbidden (Block) Card
Room forbidden card is used to forbid any user card and floor card to open the lock
of the prohibited room. Insert an IC card into the card reader, select the target room
icon from the software and set a room forbidden card. Insert it into the lock slot; you
will hear one sound ¡di¡ ¡with the green light on the lock panel turns on. It means that
the operation is successful.
6. To Set the Room Renewable (Recover) Card
Insert an IC card into the card reader, select target room icon form the software and
set a room renewable card. Insert it into the card slot; you will hear a sound ¡di¡ ¡ with
the green light on the lock panel turns on. It means that the operation is successful and
those guest cards and floor cards that belong to this room can open the door of the
room again.
7. To Set the Floor (House keeping, Cleaner) Card
In order to maintain the daily cleaning for convenience, floor card is often issued
and distributed to dustmen to let them enter the rooms smoothly. The floor card can
open all the doors of the appointed floor in the valid period and valid time so as not to
avoid disturbing the guests.
If the lock is locked inside, the floor cards cannot open it at any time, and if you
insert the floor card to the lock, you will see the red light is on and lasts for about two
seconds. If the lock is in the status of locked-inside, you can use the emergency card
to open the lock.
8. To Set the Floor Forbidden (Block) Card
Floor forbidden card is used to forbid any floor card to open the lock in the floor.
Insert an IC card into the card reader, select the target floor icon from the software and
set a floor forbidden card. Insert it into the card slot; you will hear one sound
¡di¡ ¡with the green light on the lock panel turns on. It means that the operation is
successful.
9. To Set the Floor Renewable (Recover) Card
Insert an IC card into the card reader, select target floor icon form the software and
set a floor renewable card. Insert it into the card slot; you will hear one sound
¡di¡ ¡with the green light on the lock panel turning on. It means that the operation is
successful and those floor cards that belong to that lock can open the door.
10. The Memory (Data) Card

Memory card (use AT24C64 card) is a special card for memorizing the data of opening
the door; it can be used after you set it to data card by software. The data include the floor
number, room number card number and the type of card, entrance time and the name of
the person who has opened the door.
11. To Set the Emergency Card
The emergency card can open any lock at any time, including the lock of the forbidden
room and the lock that is locked inside. Insert the IC card into the card reader and choose
emergency card and set it. If the emergency card is lost, you have to make a forbidden
card for it. We suggest that the users had better return the card immediately after using it
for safety.
12. To Set the Emergency Forbidden (Block) Card
Emergency forbidden card is used to forbid a target emergency card to open the floor
lock. Insert an IC card into the card reader, select the emergency block icon from the
software and set an emergency forbidden card. Insert it into the card slot and you will
hear one sound ¡di¡ ¡ with the green light on the lock panel turns on. It means that the
operation is successful.
13. To Set the Emergency Renewable (Recover) Card
Insert an IC card into the card reader, select target Emergency icon form the software,
and set an emergency renewable card. Insert it into the card slot; you will hear one sound
¡di¡ ¡with the green light on the lock panel turning on. It means that the operation is
successful and emergency cards that belong to the hotel can open all doors.
14. To Set the Stop Card
Insert an IC card into the card reader, select stop card icon form the software and set it.
Insert it into the card slot; you will hear one sound ¡di¡ ¡with the green light on the lock
panel turns on. It means that the operation is successful.
The function of Stop card is just has an effect on the lock¡s last open user card. When
you insert this card to a lock, it will forbid the user card that is the last one opens the lock
to open the lock anymore.
15. To Set the Full Gate Card
Insert an IC card into the card reader, select full gate card icon form the software and
set it. Insert it into the card slot; you will hear one sound ¡ di¡ ¡ with the green light on
the lock panel turns on. It means that the operation is successful.
After you insert the full gate card to one lock, the lock will be open at any time.
Anyone without card could open the lock. And you need a cancel gate card to
cancel this state and make the lock to normal state.
16. Toe Set the Semi Gate Card
Insert an IC card into the card reader, select semi gate card icon form the software
and set it. Insert it into the card slot; you will hear one sound ¡di¡ ¡with the green light
on the lock panel turns on. It means that the operation is successful.
Semi gate card is designed for all the people in the hotel (including the staffs and
guests, cleaner). After you insert this card to a lock, all the valid cards of the hotel
could open this lock.
You need a cancel gate card to cancel this state and make the lock to normal
state.
17. To Set the Cancel Gate Card
Insert an IC card into the card reader, select cancel gate card icon form the software
and set it. Insert it into the card slot; you will hear one sound ¡di¡ ¡with the green light
on the lock panel turns on. It means that the operation is successful.
This card could cancel full and semi gate state and make the lock to normal state.
V. Trouble Shooting
When you have some problems of using our lock, you can check this part to find the
problem.
If you still have question, you can ask technique support from our company.
Normally, there are two ways to find the problem, one is by phenomena, and the
other is by card.
For the sake of easy to find our problem, we will check problem by card (the following
will use the method ¡operation (phenomena)reason¡ to introduce).
General spe General speaking, insert a card to the lock and hear ¡di, di, di¡ with read light on the
card has been damaged. You should use the other new card.

Insert an unknown card to a lock you will hear ¡di, di¡ with red light on the card is
maybe the other IC card that has been used by others, so the card has different password.
If you use this card to the lock for over threes times, the card will be broken.
Initialization card: ¡di--¡ with green light onsuccessful
¡di, di¡ with red light blinks one timedifferent hotel initialization
card.
Address card: ¡di--¡ with green light onsuccessful
¡di, di¡ with red light blinks one timeother room¡s address card.
Clock card: ¡di--¡ with green light onsuccessful
¡di--,di--,di--¡ with red light blinks one timefail to set clock to the lock.
User card: ¡di, di¡ with red light blinks one timethe user card¡s data does not
match with the lock¡s data (floor number, room number)
¡di, di, di¡ with red light blinks one timethe user card has been
blocked(forbidden).
¡di,di,di,di¡ with red light blinks one timethe room has been
forbidden.
¡di--,di--¡ with red light blinks one timethe card¡s time does not
match with lock¡s.
Red led flashes fast for five timesthe lock is locked inside and the
lock has been set in the ¡Reject Client Card¡ state by PDA.
Room block/recover card: ¡ di--¡ with green light blink one timesuccessful.
¡di, di¡ with red light blink one timedifferent Floor Room Block Card.
Floor card: ¡di, di, di¡ with red light blinks one timethe floor card has been block.
di, di,di,di¡ with red light blinks one timethe room has been
forbidden.
¡di--,di--¡ with red light blinks one timethe card¡s time does not
match with the lock¡s.
¡di, di¡ with red light blinks one timethe floor or room number of
floor card does not match the lock¡s.
Red led flashes fast for five timesthe lock is locked inside.
Floor block/recover card: ¡di--¡ with green light blink one timesuccessful.
¡di, di¡ with red light blinks one timeit is not a legal card.
Memory card: when downloading the data, green led light is flashing.
Red light is on with ¡di, di¡data download is not successful.
Emergency card: ¡di, di, di¡ with red light blinks one timethe emergency card
has been blocked.
Emergency block/recover card: ¡di--¡ with green light blinks one
timesuccessful.
¡di, di¡ with red light blinks one timeit is not a legal card.
Stop card: ¡di, di¡ with red light blinks one timethe floor number of Stop
Card does not match with the lock¡s.
Full/Semi/Cancel gate card: ¡di--¡ with green light blinks one timesuccessful.
VI. Communication
If you don¡t want to communicate with the lock by PDA, you can ignore this
section. And you can just use cards to manage the lock.
The lock can be controlled by PDA or PPC or smart phone with Bluetooth
module and our software system. Below is our device BLR01. The connection
diagram is as Pic6.1:

First, you should install our PDA software. After you install it, you can see the

icon as Pic6.2 and you can run ¡ HT_BTLM.exe¡ to sign in the system. Then you
could see Pic6.3 and input ¡admin¡ for user ID and ¡ ht¡ for password.

You can enter the system as Pic6.4 show. Make sure to open the Bluetooth
port and then press ¡ connect device¡, it will search the BLR01¡s Bluetooth device
¡JBM-140¡ as Pic6.5. You can connect the lock to your PDA by choosing
¡JBM-1400¡. Then you can see ¡Connected¡ at the bottom side of the software as
Pic6.6.

Now the lock has been connected to PDA, you can use all functions as you
want. For the first time you install the lock, the lock is not initialized. So you need to
initialize the lock before you use it, but if you had initialized the lock by card
(initialization card, address card and clock card), there is no need to repeat. Before
you initialize the lock by PDA, you shall make the PDA¡s data synchronous to the
computer¡s data to get the relative information, such as building number, floor
number, room number and so on. Then go to the item ¡Advanced¡ to choose the
¡Building No, Floor No and Room No¡ as you want for the lock, just as Pic6.7
shows. And press ¡Setup¡ to finish initializing the lock (do three things: set hotel ID,
address and clock to the lock), there will be tip for you as Pic6.8. This advanced
function should just be done one time, that means to initialize the lock for one time.
But if you want to change the lock¡s address, just redo it and choose the different
room number etc.

For normal use, just choose ¡Management device¡ and ¡Management log data¡.
First, about the ¡Management device¡, there are several functions as bottom side show
you: Time, Address, Other and Mode. Please refer to Pic6.9 to get item ¡Time¡
information, you can read time from the lock and set time to the lock. You can read
address of the lock from item ¡ Address¡, just as Pic6.10. Then shift to the item ¡Other¡
to see the function. There are three functions: Set hotel ID, Check device status and
Check device version. If you choose device status, Pic6.11 will show you the lock¡s
hardware information.
The last item of ¡Management device¡ is ¡ Mode¡. In this function you can set mode
for the lock.
There are two choices: ¡Default¡ and ¡ Reject client card¡. After you initialize the lock,
the lock will be in the state of ¡ Default¡ , that means when the lock is locked inside, the
client card (user card) can open the door. If you choose the second item, the client card
could not open the door.
Secondly, It is for the ¡ Management log data¡ . In this interface, you can download the
data from the lock, just as Pic6.13 shows.
PS: The downloaded data can be saved to the PDAand upload to computer.

As last, there are three other functions in the main interface: ¡Language
setting¡, ¡ Change password¡ and ¡ About¡. Please refer to Pic6.14, Pic6.15 and
Pic6.16 to get the relative information.

How to use this button to initial a lock?
You need to press down this button, you will hear ¡di¡ and green light is on, keep
pressing it for five seconds, green and red light will flicker alternately, then release the
button, the lock will initialized successfully. If you press the button less than five seconds
or more than ten seconds, the lock will not make any change.
Ⅸ. How to install the driver of the card reader (CR02 and CR03)
PS: We suggest you using CR03.
You shall install the reader driver before install the software. And when you install the
software for the first time and open it, you must make sure you connect the IC reader to
the computer.
You are recommended to set up the driver by the following steps.
Step1: install driver for the relative card reader.

Then connect the CR03 to the computer, and you should find out the correct
simulate COM port as following:

In My Computer the COM port for CR03 is ¡ COM3¡, and you should choose the right
one in your computer.

After you install this card reader¡s driver, and you insert the card reader to the computer
(by USB or COM, design by the type of reader you buy from our company), the computer
will find a hardware and ask you to chose the driver, and you just use auto search.
Now you could install the software.
Step 2: After you install the software and open it for the first time you will see this tip.
Step 3: After press OK in step 2 you will see this. Press ¡save¡ to start the software,
make sure you had connected the card reader to connect to the computer.
Step 4: After press save in step 3 you will see this, if it is not successful, please re-check
the connection between the card reader and computer.
Step 5: the default User ID is ¡Admin¡ ; the password is ¡ht¡.
