WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY:
1. This appliance must be disconnected from its power source during installation or
service activities and when replacing.
2. The SUMMIT is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. If intended for use
in an enclosed space for the purposes of room heating, you must use SUMMIT 2600 with Herschel
iQ controls. Do not use for room heating when rooms are occupied by people incapable of leaving
the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided. Herschel is not responsible for
any breach of EcoDesign and Safety legislation where SUMMIT is used in an enclosed space
without use of a Herschel iQ controller.
3. In order to avoid overheating and potential fire hazard, DO NOT cover the heater. DO NOT
cover the heater with insulating material or a similar material under any circumstances.
4. DO NOT touch the heater when in use. The Herschel SUMMIT rises to very high temperatures
in use. After the heater has been switched off the elements remain hot for a considerable time
and the unit should not be touched within 30 minutes minimum.
5. DO NOT use the heater if the power cord is damaged. This must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
6. DO NOT use the heater to ignite materials.
7. This heater must only be used for the heating of people or buildings. The SUMMIT is not to be
used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience or knowledge, regardless of whether they have been given instruction or are under
supervision. Children should be kept away and should not be left unsupervised around the unit.
8. All operators shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed
in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
not plug in, switch on or regulate the appliance or perform user maintenance including cleaning.
9. IMPORTANT: Ensure supply voltage does not exceed 245 volts.

WATER INGRESS PROTECTION:
Herschel SUMMIT is rated to a standard IP64. If used outdoors the Herschel SUMMIT must be under
permanent cover and fully protected against the risk of any water ingress or exposure to rainfall. The
canopy/roof/cover must be of a permanent nature and minimum distances observed, as detailed in Diagram
3, page 4 of these instructions. The cover must extend a minimum of 2m (79”) around the heater.
Herschel SUMMIT is not intended for installation in locations that are permanently wet or humid.
Installation in potentially wet or humid rooms such as bathrooms must be carried out by a suitably qualified
installer and comply with local electrical safety requirements. Installation must be such that:
•the heater must not be able to become detached from the fittings and fall into a bathtub, shower,
swimming pool or other water container;

•Switches and other controls cannot be touched by a person in a bath or shower.
If in doubt, do not install. Herschel Infrared Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury caused or
resulting from inadequate fitting or incorrect placement of heaters close to water sources.

ELECTRICAL INFORMATION:
Installation must only be carried out by competent persons or a qualified electrician according to national
regulations. Wiring must be connected in accordance with the relevant national electrical safety standards
and must be earthed. Colour coding used in the supplied mains cable: BROWN wire is to be connected to
LIVE (‘L’), the BLUE wire to NEUTRAL (‘N’) and the GREEN/YELLOW wire to EARTH (‘E’). The electrical supply
to the unit should be provided by connecting to a circuit protected by a fuse or miniature circuit breaker
suitable for the electrical rating of the unit and in accordance with Table 1. Any connections and switches
intended for use outdoors must have water ingress protection ratings as good as, or better, than the
protection rating of the heater (IP64).

The mounting position of the unit must ensure that any mechanical damage to the flexible cable is unlikely.
Any exposed flexible cable is to hang down (not tied UP) & must have adequate clearance from the heater
to prevent scorching or damaging the cable.
The Kanthal element used in the SUMMIT produces an inrush current when first switched on. If 4 or more
Non-Remote-Control units are intended for installation on the same circuit, a soft start device must be used
to protect the heaters. Please refer to your electrician or Herschel for further information and to obtain
recommended soft start units. Failure to do so will damage the heaters and invalidate the warranty.
MOUNTING POSITION :
The Far Infrared heat of SUMMIT is characterised by a consistent, comfortable heat distribution over the
heated area.
The recommended installation height of the SUMMIT is 2.1m to 2.7m (83”-106”) from the floor according
to the expected use. Under no circumstances is the unit to be installed at less than 1.8m (71”) from the floor.

In all cases the Herschel SUMMIT must be located in a position to allow proper and efficient use but one
that ensures hot parts are not touched accidentally.
The zone heated by the SUMMIT will increase in size the higher the heater is installed from the floor, but
the warmth experienced from the heater will be lower. The mounting height and intensity should reflect the
intended use of the heater.
Mount the heater at a lower height in areas intended for low physical activity (for example a seating area)
or areas subject to airflow (outside or near open doors).
Mount higher where less intense warmth is needed (for example warehouses where workers are active and
wear warm clothing).
Consideration should be given to any temporary or occasional additions such as stages or platforms and
adjusted accordingly. For areas with air movement/wind the directional Far Infrared spread may reduce by
1/3 to 1/2. In these areas, we recommend mounting at the lowest recommended height and proportionally
increasing the number of heaters. Power can also be adjusted with the 2600R model.
Wall/ceiling mount swivel brackets and accessories are provided with the heater which has been specifically
designed to allow this product to be fitted to a wall or ceiling with adequate clearances (140mm or 5.5”) at
the back of the unit. The sides and ends of the heater must be positioned at least 300mm (12”) away from
the nearest wall or other surface.
For longer distances from the ceiling, an optional wire suspension kit can be purchased from a
recommended supplier. Please contact Herschel for further information.
INSTALLATION:

•4 x small bolts and spring washers with blind nuts (to form the pivot on the brackets)
•2 x Thumb screws (fit into slider plates to clamp the slider plate in position on the heater).

CAUTION:
•Ensure mains power is OFF before commencing installation.
•The supplied mains cable must not contact the top surface of the heater during operation.
•Heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet. Electrical connections must be made
outside of the footprint of the unit to avoid heat build-up. If the heater is to be mounted on an incline
(e.g. sloping roof), ensure the electrical connection is located below the lowest end of the heater.
•Joists, beams and rafters shall not be cut or notched to install the appliance.
•This heater is not intended for ceiling-recessed installation.
•The identification mark and model reference should be visible after installation.
•The SUMMIT must not be attached facing or close to any combustible material (eg, wood or PVC
cladding, fascia or soffit) or other materials that could blow onto the heater.
•The fixed wiring insulation coming into contact with parts with a temperature rise of greater than
50°C must be protected, for example, by sleeving having an appropriate temperature rating.
OPERATION BY REMOTE CONTROLLER:
The Herschel SUMMIT 2600R is operated from the remote control supplied with the heater. The SUMMIT
2600 has no remote control.

All Herschel remote controls have the same frequency, so it is possible to control several heaters with just
one remote.
Safety & Energy-saving protection:
•If a heater with remote control is left switched on continuously for a week (168 hours), the
heater will automatically switch itself off and must be restarted.
•Heaters with remote controllers are equipped with an overheat switch which will cut power to
the heater if it senses an overheat in the electronics. Please let the heater cool down for 15
minutes before attempting to restart.
INITIAL USE:
Before first use, ensure the emissive (front) surface is free of fingerprints and other contamination before
turning on heater for the first time. There may be an odour or vapour from the heater on initial use or if
heater has not been used for an extended period. This is normal.
USER MAINTENANCE:
The heater may be wiped-down with a clean damp cloth. Do not use abrasive detergents to clean the unit.
In marine environments, the unit may be gently sprayed clean with clean water with the POWER TURNED
OFF and completely cool. After cleaning, it is advisable to warm the heater for 10 – 20 minutes to dry the
unit and prevent staining.

The Herschel SUMMIT is guaranteed against failure due to faulty materials or workmanship for two years
from date of purchase*. In the unlikely event of failure of the unit within this time, the unit must be

COMPLIANCE WITH ECODESIGN DIRECTIVE 2009/125/EC:
•If SUMMIT is to be used indoors in an enclosed space to reach and maintain a defined temperature
level, the Herschel SUMMIT 2600 (non remote) must be used and is compliant if used with the
appropriate Hershel iQ controller.
•The legislation does not apply to SUMMIT 2600 or 2600R intended for use outdoors or for heating
indoors in an unenclosed space where this prevents application of EcoDesign regulations. Note
however in accordance with Ecodesign standards, the SUMMIT 2600R model will switch itself off if
left operating continuously for 168 hours (1 week).
•Herschel is not responsible for any breach of the legislation where the SUMMIT 2600 or 2600R are
used for enclosed indoor heating without an appropriate controller.

INFORMATIONS ÉLECTRIQUES :
L'installation ne doit être effectuée que par des personnes compétentes ou un électricien qualifié,
conformément aux réglementations nationales. Le câblage doit être raccordé conformément aux normes
de sécurité électrique nationales en vigueur et doit être mis à la terre. Code de couleur utilisé dans le câble
d'alimentation fourni : Le fil MARRON doit être connecté à LIVE ('L'), le fil BLEU à NEUTRAL ('N') et le fil

La position de montage de l'unité doit garantir que tout dommage mécanique au câble flexible est
improbable. Tout câble flexible exposé doit pendre (et non être attaché) et doit avoir un espace suffisant
par rapport à l'élément chauffant pour éviter de brûler ou d'endommager le câble.
L'élément Kanthal utilisé dans le SUMMIT produit un courant d'appel lors du premier allumage. Si 4 unités
Non-Remote-Control ou plus sont destinées à être installées sur le même circuit, un dispositif de démarrage
progressif doit être utilisé pour protéger les radiateurs. Veuillez consulter votre électricien ou Herschel pour
plus d'informations et pour obtenir les unités de démarrage progressif recommandées. Le non-respect de
cette consigne endommagera les appareils de chauffage et annulera la garantie.
POSITION DE MONTAGE :
La chaleur infrarouge lointaine de SUMMIT est caractérisée par une distribution de chaleur constante et
confortable sur la zone chauffée.
La hauteur d'installation recommandée du SUMMIT est de 2.1m à 2.7m (83"-106") du sol en fonction de
l'utilisation prévue. En aucun cas, l'unité ne doit être installée à moins de 1,8 m du sol. Dans tous les cas, le
Herschel SUMMIT doit être placé dans une position qui permette une utilisation correcte et efficace, mais
qui garantisse que les parties chaudes ne soient pas touchées accidentellement.
La zone chauffée par le SUMMIT augmentera en taille plus le radiateur sera installé haut par rapport au sol,
mais la chaleur ressentie par le radiateur sera plus faible. La hauteur et l'intensité du montage doivent
refléter l'utilisation prévue du radiateur.
Installez le radiateur à une hauteur plus basse dans les zones où l'activité physique est faible (par exemple,
une zone d'assise) ou dans les zones soumises à la circulation de l'air (à l'extérieur ou près de portes
ouvertes).
Installez le chauffage plus haut dans les endroits où une chaleur moins intense est nécessaire (par exemple
les entrepôts où les travailleurs sont actifs et portent des vêtements chauds).
Il faut tenir compte des ajouts temporaires ou occasionnels tels que des scènes ou des plates-formes et les
ajuster en conséquence. Dans les zones où il y a des mouvements d'air/du vent, la diffusion directionnelle
des infrarouges lointains peut être réduite de 1/3 à 1/2. Dans ces zones, nous recommandons de monter
l'appareil à la hauteur la plus basse recommandée et d'augmenter proportionnellement le nombre
d'appareils de chauffage. La puissance peut également être ajustée avec le modèle 2600R.
Des supports pivotants et des accessoires de montage au mur/plafond sont fournis avec l'appareil. Ils ont
été spécialement conçus pour permettre de fixer ce produit à un mur ou à un plafond avec un dégagement
adéquat (140 mm) à l'arrière de l'appareil. Les côtés et les extrémités de l'appareil doivent être placés à une
distance d'au moins 300 mm du mur ou de la surface la plus proche.
Pour des distances plus longues par rapport au plafond, un kit de suspension de fil métallique optionnel
peut être acheté auprès d'un fournisseur recommandé. Veuillez contacter Herschel pour de plus amples
informations.

ATTENTION:
•Assurez-vous que l'alimentation électrique est coupée avant de commencer l'installation.
•Le câble d'alimentation fourni ne doit pas entrer en contact avec la surface supérieure du
radiateur pendant le fonctionnement.
•Le radiateur ne doit pas être placé immédiatement sous une prise de courant. Les
connexions électriques doivent être effectuées en dehors de l'empreinte de l'appareil afin
d'éviter toute accumulation de chaleur. Si le chauffe-eau doit être monté sur une pente
(par exemple un toit en pente), assurez-vous que le raccordement électrique est situé
sous l'extrémité la plus basse du chauffe-eau.
•Les solives, poutres et chevrons ne doivent pas être coupés ou entaillés pour installer
l'appareil.
•Cet appareil n'est pas destiné à être installé dans le plafond.
•La marque d'identification et la référence du modèle doivent être visibles après
l'installation.

FRANÇAIS
•Le SUMMIT ne doit pas être fixé en face ou à proximité d'un matériau combustible (par
exemple, un revêtement en bois ou en PVC, un fascia ou un soffit) ou d'autres matériaux
qui pourraient souffler sur l'appareil.
•L'isolation du câblage fixe entrant en contact avec des pièces dont l'élévation de
température est supérieure à 50°C doit être protégée, par exemple, par une gaine ayant
un indice de température approprié.
FONCTIONNEMENT PAR TÉLÉCOMMANDE :
Le Herschel SUMMIT 2600R est commandé par la télécommande fournie avec l'appareil. Le SUMMIT 2600
n'a pas de télécommande.
Insérez 2 piles alcalines AAA dans la télécommande.
Toutes les télécommandes Herschel ont la même fréquence, il est donc possible de contrôler plusieurs
chauffages avec une seule télécommande.
Sécurité et protection des économies d'énergie :
•Si un radiateur avec télécommande reste allumé en continu pendant une semaine (168 heures), le
radiateur s'éteint automatiquement et doit être redémarré.
•Les radiateurs avec télécommande sont équipés d'un interrupteur de surchauffe qui coupe
l'alimentation du radiateur s'il détecte une surchauffe de l'électronique. Veuillez laisser le radiateur
refroidir pendant 15 minutes avant de tenter de le redémarrer.
UTILISATION INITIALE :
Avant la première utilisation, assurez-vous que la surface émettrice (avant) est exempte d'empreintes
digitales et de toute autre contamination avant d'allumer l'appareil pour la première fois. Lors de la première
utilisation ou si le radiateur n'a pas été utilisé pendant une période prolongée, une odeur ou une vapeur
peut se dégager du radiateur. Ceci est normal.

WARNUNG
UM DIE GEFAHR EINES BRANDES, EINES ELEKTRISCHEN SCHLAGES ODER
VON VERLETZUNGEN ZU VERRINGERN:
1. Dieses Gerät muss während der Installation, der Wartung und des Austauschs von der
Stromquelle getrennt werden.
2. Der SUMMIT ist nicht mit einer Vorrichtung zur Regelung der Raumtemperatur
ausgestattet. Wenn der SUMMIT 2600 zur Raumheizung in einem geschlossenen Raum
verwendet werden soll, müssen Sie ihn mit der Herschel iQ-Steuerung verwenden.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht zum Heizen von Räumen, die von Personen bewohnt
werden, die nicht in der Lage sind, den Raum selbständig zu verlassen, es sei denn, es wird
ständig beaufsichtigt. Herschel ist nicht verantwortlich für Verstöße gegen die Ökodesign-
und Sicherheitsvorschriften, wenn der SUMMIT in einem geschlossenen Raum ohne
Herschel iQ-Regler verwendet wird.
3. Um Überhitzung und mögliche Brandgefahr zu vermeiden, darf das Heizgerät NICHT
abgedeckt werden. Decken Sie das Heizgerät unter keinen Umständen mit Isoliermaterial
oder ähnlichem Material ab.
4. Berühren Sie das Heizgerät NICHT, wenn es in Betrieb ist. Der Herschel SUMMIT steigt im
Betrieb auf sehr hohe Temperaturen an. Nach dem Ausschalten des Heizgeräts bleiben die
Elemente noch eine ganze Weile heiß und das Gerät sollte innerhalb von mindestens 30
Minuten nicht berührt werden.
5. Verwenden Sie das Heizgerät NICHT, wenn das Netzkabel beschädigt ist. Dieses muss vom
Hersteller, seinem Kundendienst oder einer ähnlich qualifizierten Person ersetzt werden,
um eine Gefährdung zu vermeiden.
6. Verwenden Sie das Heizgerät NICHT, um Materialien zu entzünden.
7. Dieses Heizgerät darf nur zum Beheizen von Personen oder Gebäuden verwendet werden.
Der SUMMIT darf nicht von Kindern oder Personen mit eingeschränkten körperlichen,
sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder mangelnder Erfahrung oder Kenntnis benutzt
werden, unabhängig davon, ob sie unterwiesen wurden oder unter Aufsicht stehen. Kinder
sollten ferngehalten werden und nicht unbeaufsichtigt in der Nähe des Geräts gelassen
werden.
8. Alle Bediener dürfen das Gerät nur dann ein- und ausschalten, wenn es in der vorgesehenen
normalen Betriebsposition aufgestellt oder installiert wurde und sie beaufsichtigt oder in
die sichere Verwendung des Geräts eingewiesen wurden und die damit verbundenen
Gefahren verstehen. Kinder dürfen das Gerät nicht einstecken, einschalten oder regulieren
und keine Wartungsarbeiten, einschließlich der Reinigung, durchführen.

SCHUTZ VOR EINDRINGENDEM WASSER:
Der Herschel SUMMIT entspricht der Schutzart IP64. Bei Verwendung im Freien muss der Herschel
SUMMIT dauerhaft abgedeckt und vollständig gegen das Eindringen von Wasser oder Regen geschützt
sein. Die Überdachung muss dauerhaft sein und die Mindestabstände müssen eingehalten werden, wie in
Diagramm 3, Seite 4 dieser Anleitung beschrieben. Die Abdeckung muss mindestens 2 m (79") um das
Heizgerät herum reichen.
Der Herschel SUMMIT ist nicht für die Installation an dauerhaft nassen oder feuchten Orten vorgesehen.
Die Installation in potenziell nassen oder feuchten Räumen, wie z. B. Badezimmern, muss von einem
entsprechend qualifizierten Installateur durchgeführt werden und den örtlichen elektrischen
Sicherheitsanforderungen entsprechen. Die Installation muss so erfolgen, dass:
•Das Heizgerät darf sich nicht von den Armaturen lösen und in eine Badewanne, eine Dusche,
ein Schwimmbecken oder einen anderen Wasserbehälter fallen können;
•Schalter und andere Bedienelemente dürfen nicht von einer Person in einer Badewanne oder
Dusche berührt werden können.
Im Zweifelsfall nicht installieren. Herschel Infrared Ltd. haftet nicht für Verluste, Schäden oder
Verletzungen, die durch eine unzureichende Montage oder eine falsche Platzierung der Heizgeräte in der
Nähe von Wasserquellen verursacht werden oder entstehen.

ELEKTRISCHE INFORMATIONEN:
Die Installation darf nur von kompetenten Personen oder einem qualifizierten Elektriker gemäß den
nationalen Vorschriften durchgeführt werden. Die Verkabelung muss in Übereinstimmung mit den
einschlägigen nationalen elektrischen Sicherheitsnormen erfolgen und geerdet sein. Farbcodierung des
mitgelieferten Netzkabels: Das BRAUNE Kabel ist an LIVE ('L'), das BLAUE Kabel an NEUTRAL ('N') und das

GRÜNE/GELBE Kabel an EARTH ('E') anzuschließen. Die Stromversorgung des Geräts sollte durch Anschluss
an einen Stromkreis erfolgen, der durch eine Sicherung oder einen Leitungsschutzschalter geschützt ist,
die bzw. der für die elektrische Leistung des Geräts geeignet ist und den Angaben in Tabelle 1 entspricht.
Alle Anschlüsse und Schalter, die für die Verwendung im Freien vorgesehen sind, müssen eine Schutzart
gegen das Eindringen von Wasser aufweisen, die mindestens der Schutzart des Heizgeräts entspricht
(IP64).

Die Montageposition des Geräts muss sicherstellen, dass eine mechanische Beschädigung des flexiblen
Kabels unwahrscheinlich ist. Jedes freiliegende flexible Kabel muss nach unten hängen (nicht
hochgebunden) und einen ausreichenden Abstand zum Heizelement haben, um Verbrennungen oder
Beschädigungen des Kabels zu vermeiden.
Das im SUMMIT verwendete Kanthal-Element erzeugt beim ersten Einschalten einen Einschaltstrom. Wenn
4 oder mehr Geräte ohne Fernsteuerung in einem Stromkreis installiert werden sollen, muss eine
Sanftanlaufvorrichtung verwendet werden, um die Heizelemente zu schützen. Bitte wenden Sie sich an Ihren
Elektriker oder an Herschel, um weitere Informationen zu erhalten und um die empfohlenen
Sanftanlaufgeräte zu bestellen. Andernfalls werden die Heizgeräte beschädigt und die Garantie erlischt.
EINBAULAGE:
Die Ferninfrarot-Wärme von SUMMIT zeichnet sich durch eine gleichmäßige, angenehme Wärmeverteilung
über die beheizte Fläche aus.
Die empfohlene Installationshöhe des SUMMIT beträgt 2,1m bis 2,7m (83"-106") über dem Fußboden, je
nach erwarteter Nutzung. Unter keinen Umständen darf das Gerät in einer Höhe von weniger als 1,8 m (71")
über dem Boden installiert werden. In jedem Fall muss der Herschel SUMMIT so aufgestellt werden, dass
eine ordnungsgemäße und effiziente Nutzung möglich ist, aber gleichzeitig sichergestellt ist, dass die heißen
Teile nicht versehentlich berührt werden.
Die vom SUMMIT beheizte Zone wird umso größer, je höher das Gerät vom Boden aus angebracht ist, aber
die vom Gerät abgegebene Wärme ist geringer. Die Montagehöhe und -intensität sollte dem
Verwendungszweck des Heizgeräts entsprechen.
Bringen Sie das Heizgerät in Bereichen mit geringer körperlicher Aktivität (z. B. Sitzbereich) oder in Bereichen
mit Luftstrom (im Freien oder in der Nähe offener Türen) in geringerer Höhe an.
Montieren Sie ihn höher, wenn weniger intensive Wärme benötigt wird (z. B. in Lagerhallen, in denen die
Mitarbeiter aktiv sind und warme Kleidung tragen).
Vorübergehende oder gelegentliche Anbauten wie Bühnen oder Podeste sollten berücksichtigt und
entsprechend angepasst werden. In Bereichen mit Luftbewegung/Wind kann sich die gerichtete
Ferninfrarot-Ausbreitung um 1/3 bis 1/2 verringern. In diesen Bereichen empfehlen wir die Montage in der
niedrigsten empfohlenen Höhe und die proportionale Erhöhung der Anzahl der Strahler. Bei dem Modell
2600R kann die Leistung ebenfalls angepasst werden.

DEUTSCH
Im Lieferumfang des Heizgeräts sind schwenkbare Wand-/Deckenhalterungen und Zubehör enthalten, die
speziell für die Montage dieses Produkts an einer Wand oder Decke mit ausreichendem Abstand (140 mm
oder 5,5") an der Rückseite des Geräts entwickelt wurden. Die Seiten und Enden des Heizgeräts müssen
mindestens 300 mm (12") von der nächstgelegenen Wand oder einer anderen Oberfläche entfernt sein.
Für größere Abstände von der Decke kann ein optionaler Drahtaufhängungssatz von einem empfohlenen
Lieferanten erworben werden. Bitte kontaktieren Sie Herschel für weitere Informationen.
INSTALLATION:

•Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Netzspannung ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie mit der
Installation beginnen.
•Das mitgelieferte Netzkabel darf die Oberseite des Heizgeräts während des Betriebs

•Das Heizgerät darf nicht unmittelbar unter einer Steckdose aufgestellt werden. Die
elektrischen Anschlüsse müssen außerhalb der Grundfläche des Geräts erfolgen, um

werden soll (z. B. Dachschräge), muss der elektrische Anschluss unterhalb des
untersten Endes des Heizgeräts liegen.
•Balken, Balken und Sparren dürfen für die Installation des Geräts nicht
durchgeschnitten oder eingekerbt werden.
•Dieses Heizgerät ist nicht für den Einbau in die Decke vorgesehen.
•Die Kennzeichnung und die Modellbezeichnung müssen nach dem Einbau sichtbar
sein.
•Der SUMMIT darf nicht gegenüber oder in der Nähe von brennbarem Material (z. B.
Holz- oder PVC-Verkleidungen, Fassadenverkleidungen oder Dachuntersichten) oder
anderen Materialien angebracht werden, die auf das Gerät wehen könnten.
•Die Isolierung der festen Verdrahtung, die mit Teilen in Berührung kommt, die eine
Temperaturerhöhung von mehr als 50 °C aufweisen, muss geschützt werden, z. B.
durch eine Ummantelung mit einer geeigneten Temperaturklasse.

Sicherheit & Energiesparschutz:

WARTUNG DURCH DEN BENUTZER:
Das Heizgerät kann mit einem sauberen, feuchten Tuch abgewischt werden. Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen
des Geräts keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel. In Meeresumgebungen kann das Gerät bei
AUSGESCHALTETEM und völlig abgekühltem Gerät vorsichtig mit sauberem Wasser abgespritzt werden.
Nach der Reinigung ist es ratsam, das Heizgerät 10 bis 20 Minuten lang zu erwärmen, um es zu trocknen
und Flecken zu vermeiden.

Für den Hersche l SUMMIT gilt eine Garantie von zwei Jahren ab Kaufdatum* auf Material- und
Verarbeitungsfehler. In dem unwahrscheinlichen Fall, dass das Gerät innerhalb dieses Zeitraums ausfällt,
muss es zur Reparatur oder zum Austausch an den Lieferanten zurückgeschickt werden. Die Garantie ist

EINHALTUNG DER ÖKODESIGN-RICHTLINIE 2009/125/EC:
•Wenn der SUMMIT in einem geschlossenen Raum verwendet werden soll, um ein
bestimmtes Temperaturniveau zu erreichen und aufrechtzuerhalten, muss der
Herschel SUMMIT 2600 (ohne Fernbedienung) verwendet werden und ist konform,
wenn er mit dem entsprechenden Hershel iQ Controller verwendet wird.
•Die Rechtsvorschriften gelten nicht für SUMMIT 2600 oder 2600R, die für die
Verwendung im Freien oder zum Heizen in geschlossenen Räumen bestimmt sind,
wenn dies die Anwendung der Ökodesign-Vorschriften verhindert. Beachten Sie
jedoch, dass sich das Modell SUMMIT 2600R gemäß den Ökodesign-Normen selbst
abschaltet, wenn es 168 Stunden (1 Woche) ununterbrochen in Betrieb bleibt.
