Optional Features
Open Collector Output –Controls and external device (5VDC) operating in Host
Mode only. Sink 40 mA / Source -1mA.
Optical Tamper (enabled by default?) –This can be configured with HID
Biometric Manager. If activated, when the reader is removed from its mounted
base, the optical tamper will sink to ground from its default 5 VDC. Contact HID
Technical Support for Optical Tamper options.
Relay output –Typically used to control a strike lock, three contacts (common,
normally open and normally closed) are available on the pigtail bundle. Relay
operation may be configured with HID Biometric Manager.
Wiegand Reader Interface –this includes a hold input, which may configured
with HID Biometric Manager.

Connect only to a Listed Access Control / Burglary power-limited power supply. These
readers are intended to be used with listed (UL294) control equipment. Suitable for outdoor
use. Only Wiegand and Bluetooth communications have been evaluated by UL.
Install in accordance with NFPA70 (NEC) Local Codes, and authorities having jurisdiction.
Follow all National and Local Codes.
