1. Check that the emergency stop buon is not pushed in.
2. Check that the cables are connected correctly.
3. Cgheck that the charging cable is not connected to the wall socket.
4. Check that the baery is charged.
5. Check that the contact plates on the baery pack are not defected
or broken.
5. If the li sll does not work sasfactorily, contact Hill-Rom.

1. Make sure that the emergency stop is not engaged.
2. If the li has not been used for 24 hours, enable the system.
3. Check that the HandControl IR is enabled.
4. Check that the charger cable is not connected to an electric outlet.
5. HandControl IR indicates baery change.
6. If the li works via the operaon panel,
change the HandControl IR.
7. If the problem persists, please contact Hill-Rom.

Customers FAQ:
- The liarms up/down funcon or base width in/out funcon doesn´t work?
a) Change posion on actuator and base motor cables.
b) Perform step 2 and see if fault is on output channel or motors.
- The control panel funcon´s on controlbox is ok, but the hand control has no funcon?
a) Check to ensure that baery contact plates in the hand control are not defecve or broken.
- There´s no charging funcon?
a) Verify contact between control box and baery. Perform step 4.
b) Check charging funcon. Perform step 5.
Note! Begin with Simple trouble shoong from Service manual for the actual
product. If problem remains connue as described below. Tools Required

1. Make sure that:
- the emergency stop 1 is not acvated.
- the baery is assembled correctly.
- the charging cable is not connected to mains.
2. Check operaon panel funcon´s for actuator and base motor
Push control buons on operaon panel 2 at control box
- If both actuator and base motor funcons response, connue to step 5.
- If no funcon, connue to step 3.
- If only one of either the actuator or base motor funcon response:
change posion on actuator and base motor cables then check control
funcon of operaon panel, to see if fault is on output channels or the
motors. If control box funcon is ok! Connue to step 5.
If control box is faulty. Replace the control box.
3. Check baery capacity
3a) Push in the baery capacity buon 3 :
- If any of the three LED´s on the baery start´s the baery is OK, connue
to step 4.
- If not, connue to step 3b.
3b) Measure baery voltage: release baery, 4 measure on contact 1 and 3:
- If voltage over 0V the baery is ok! Connue to step 4.
4. Verify contact between control box and baery.
4a) Remove the baery and wait for green LED to turn o.
4b) Put back the baery and see if green LED start automacally.
- If green LED starts, baery contact is ok!
- If not, try to ensure that the baery´s contact plates are not defecve
or broken and try to bend them out carefully, then repeat step 4.
- If sll no contact, connue to step 5.
5. Check charging funcon
5a) Connect the charging cable to mains
- If charging starts within 1 minute, charge and then connue to step 6.
- If charging doesn´t start, connue to step 5b.
5b) Measure output voltage on the control box 5 on contact 1 and 3.
- If voltage is 3-4VDC charging is OK! Replace the baery, connue to step 6.
- If voltage is 0VDC when the charging cable is connected to mains the control
box needs to be replaced! Replace the control box.
6. Charge the baery unl green LED is ashing, on the baery.
- Check that all funcon´s on the control box is ok!
If not , Replace control box.

- The liarms up/down funcon or base width in/out funcon doesn´t work?
a) Change posion on actuator and base motor cables.
b) Perform step 2 and see if fault is on output channel or motors.
- The control panel funcon´s on controlbox is ok, but the hand control has no funcon?
a) Check to ensure that baery contact plates in the hand control are not defecve or broken.
- There´s no charging funcon?
a) Verify contact between control box and baery. Perform step 4.
b) Check charging funcon. Perform step 5.
Note! Begin with Simple trouble shoong from Service manual for the actual
product. If problem remains connue as described below. Tools Required

1. Make sure that:
- the emergency stop 1 is not acvated.
- the baery is assembled correctly.
- the charging cable is not connected to mains.
2. Check operaon panel funcon´s for actuator and base motor
Push control buons on operaon panel 2 at control box
- If both actuator and base motor funcons response, connue to step 5.
- If no funcon, connue to step 3.
- If only one of either the actuator or base motor funcon response:
change posion on actuator and base motor cables then check control
funcon of operaon panel, to see if fault is on output channels or the
motors. If control box funcon is ok! Connue to step 5.
If control box is faulty. Replace the control box.
3. Check baery capacity
3a) Push in the baery capacity buon 3 :
- If any of the three LED´s on the baery start´s the baery is OK, connue
to step 4.
- If not, connue to step 3b.
3b) Measure baery voltage: release baery, 4 measure on contact 1 and 3:
- If voltage over 0V the baery is ok! Connue to step 4.
4. Verify contact between control box and baery.
4a) Remove the baery and wait for green LED to turn o.
4b) Put back the baery and see if green LED start automacally.
- If green LED starts, baery contact is ok!
- If not, try to ensure that the baery´s contact plates are not defecve
or broken and try to bend them out carefully, then repeat step 4.
- If sll no contact, connue to step 5.
5. Check charging funcon
5a) Connect the charging cable to mains
- If charging starts within 1 minute, charge and then connue to step 6.
- If charging doesn´t start, connue to step 5b.
5b) Measure output voltage on the control box 5 on contact 1 and 3.
- If voltage is 3-4VDC charging is OK! Replace the baery, connue to step 6.
- If voltage is 0VDC when the charging cable is connected to mains the control
box needs to be replaced! Replace the control box.
6. Charge the baery unl green LED is ashing, on the baery.
- Check that all funcon´s on the control box is ok!
If not , Replace control box.
