1 Information about the documentation

1.3 Product information
Hilti products are designed for professional use and may be operated, ser-
viced and maintained only by trained, authorized personnel. This personnel
must be informed of any particular hazards that may be encountered. The
product and its ancillary equipment can present hazards if used incorrectly
by untrained personnel or if used not in accordance with the intended use.
The type designation and serial number are stated on the rating plate.
▶Write down the serial number in the table below. You will be required to
state the product details when contacting Hilti Service or your local Hilti
organization to inquire about the product.

2 Safety
2.1 Important safety instructions
WARNING! READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below can result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. KEEP
THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN A HANDY YET SECURE PLACE.
2.2 Careful handling and use
▶Use the product only when it is in perfect working order.
▶Never tamper with or modify the product in any way.
▶This device can be used by children 8 years of age or older and by persons
with physical, sensory or mental disabilities or little relevant experience or
know-how if they are supervised or have received instruction on the safe
use of the device and the resulting hazards.
▶Do not use the product where there is a risk of fire or explosion.
▶Do not use the device outdoors.
▶Do not use accessories not specifically intended and recommended for
this power tool by the tool manufacturer. The fact that an accessory can
be attached to your power tool does not necessarily mean that it can be
used in safety.

▶Replace the complete cordless lamp when the light source has reached
the end of its life. The light source in this cordless lamp is not replaceable.
▶Do not look into the beam and do not direct the beam toward other
persons.
▶Do not expose the device to rain or moisture. Water entering an electric
device will increase the risk of electric shock.
2.3 Careful handling and use of batteries
▶Observe the special guidelines applicable to the transport, storage and
use of lithium-ion batteries.
▶Do not expose batteries to high temperatures, direct sunlight or fire.
▶Do not take apart, squash or incinerate batteries and do not subject them
to temperatures over 80 °C.
▶Do not attempt to charge or continue to use damaged batteries.
▶If the battery is too hot to touch, it may be defective. In this case, place
the power tool in a non-flammable location, well away from flammable
materials, where it can be kept under observation and left to cool down.
Contact Hilti Service after the battery has cooled down.

3.2 Intended use
The product described is a cordless lamp. It is intended for use as illumination
on jobsites. Use the product in a dry environment only.
SL 2-A12
Use only Hilti Li-ion batteries from the B 12 series with this product.
▶Use only the Hilti battery chargers of the C 4/36 series with the CA-
B12 charging adapter, or battery chargers of the C 4/12-50 series for
charging these batteries.
SL 2-A22
Use only Hilti Liion batteries of the B 22 series with this product.
▶Use only the Hilti battery chargers of the C4/36 series for charging these
batteries.

3.3 Charge state indicator
Lightly press (no more than until resistance is perceptible) either of the
battery release buttons to check the charge state of the Liion battery.
Status Meaning
4 LEDs light up. • Charge state: 75 % to 100 %
3 LEDs light up. • Charge state: 50 % to 75 %
2 LEDs light up. • Charge state: 25 % to 50 %
1 LED lights up. • Charge state: 10 % to 25 %
1 LED flashes. • Charge state: < 10 %
Note
If the LEDs of the charge state indicator flash, follow the instructions in
the 'Troubleshooting' section.
3.4 3-mode switch
Use the 3-mode switch to set the brightness.
Status Meaning
Press once • The lamp lights with maximum
brightness.
Press twice • The lamp lights with medium
brightness.
Press three times • The lamp is off.

5 Operation
5.1 Preparations at the workplace
CAUTION
Risk of injury! Inadvertent starting of the product.
▶Remove the battery before making any adjustments to the power tool
or before changing accessories.
Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on
the product.
5.2 Inserting the battery
CAUTION
Electrical hazard. Dirty contacts may cause a short circuit.
▶Before inserting the battery, check to ensure that the battery terminals
and the contacts on the product are free from foreign objects.
CAUTION
Risk of injury. If the battery is not fitted correctly it may drop out and fall.
▶Check that the battery is securely seated in the product so that
it cannot drop out and fall, thereby presenting a hazard to other
persons.
▶Insert the battery and check that the battery is securely seated in the
device.
5.3 Removing the battery
1. Press both release buttons.
2. Pull the battery to the rear and out of the product.
5.4 Pivoting the head of the lamp
1. Pull out the retractable hook.
Note
When you suspend the lamp using the retractable hook, check the
load-bearing capacity of the point from which the lamp is suspended.
2. Pivot the head of the lamp upwards.

5.5 Turning the lamp head
CAUTION
Risk of damage to the eyes (the retina). Looking directly into the lamp
presents a risk of damage to the eyes (the retina).
▶Do not direct the lamp at yourself or at anyone else.
▶Do not, under any circumstances, look into the lamp.
▶Turn the lamp head to the desired position.
Note
The lamp head can be turned in either direction along the axis. Do
not attempt to force the lamp head past the end stops.

6 Care and maintenance
6.1 Care and maintenance of cordless tools
WARNING
Risk of electric shock! Attempting care and maintenance with the
battery fitted in the tool can lead to severe injury and burns.
▶Always remove the battery before carrying out care and maintenance
tasks!
Care and maintenance of the tool
• Carefully remove any dirt that may be adhering to parts.
• Clean the air vents carefully with a dry brush.
• Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the casing. Do not use cleaning
agents containing silicone as these may attack the plastic parts.
Care of the lithiumion batteries
• Keep the battery free from oil and grease.
• Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the casing. Do not use cleaning
agents containing silicone as these may attack the plastic parts.
• Avoid ingress of moisture.
Maintenance
• Check all visible parts and controls for signs of damage at regular intervals
and make sure that they all function correctly.
• Do not operate the cordless tool if signs of damage are found or if parts
malfunction. Have the tool repaired by Hilti Service immediately.
• After cleaning and maintenance, fit all guards or protective devices and
check that they function correctly.

7 Transport and storage
7.1 Transport and storage of cordless tools
Transport
CAUTION
Inadvertent starting during transport. Uncontrolled starting during
transport may occur if the battery is fitted, thereby resulting in damage
to the tool.
▶Always remove the battery before transporting the tool.
▶Remove the battery.
▶Transport the tool and batteries individually packaged.
▶Never transport batteries in bulk form (loose, unprotected).
▶Check the tool and batteries for damage before use after long periods of
transport.
Storage
CAUTION
Inadvertent damage caused by defective battery. A leaking battery
may damage the tool.
▶Always remove the battery before storing the tool.
▶Store the tool and batteries in a place that is as cool and dry as possible.
▶Never store batteries in direct sunlight, on heating units or behind a
window pane.
▶Store the tool and batteries in a place where they cannot be accessed by
children or unauthorized persons.
▶Check the tool and batteries for damage before use after long periods of
storage.

9 Disposal
WARNING
Risk of injury. Hazards presented by improper disposal.
▶Improper disposal of the equipment may have the following conse-
quences: The burning of plastic components generates toxic fumes
which may present a health hazard. Batteries may explode if dam-
aged or exposed to very high temperatures, causing poisoning,
burns, acid burns or environmental pollution. Careless disposal may
permit unauthorized and improper use of the equipment. This may
result in serious personal injury, injury to third parties and pollution of
the environment.
▶Dispose of defective batteries right away. Keep them out of reach of
children. Do not disassemble or incinerate the batteries.
▶Batteries that have reached the end of their life must be disposed of
in accordance with national regulations or returned to Hilti.
Most of the materials from which Hilti tools and appliances are manu-
factured can be recycled. The materials must be correctly separated before
they can be recycled. In many countries, your old tools, machines or appli-
ances can be returned to Hilti for recycling. Ask Hilti Service or your Hilti
representative for further information.
▶Disposal of electric tools or appliances together with household
waste is not permissible.

2.3 Akude hoolikas käsitsemine ja kasutamine
▶Järgige liitiumioonakude veo, ladustamise ja käsitsemise suhtes kehtivaid
erinõudeid.
▶Kaitske akusid kõrgete temperatuuride, otsese päikesekiirguse ja tule
eest.
▶Akusid ei tohi lahti võtta, muljuda, kuumutada üle 80 °C ega põletada.
▶Kahjustatud akusid ei tohi kasutada ega laadida.
▶Kui aku on nii kuum, et seda ei saa puudutada, võib aku olla defektne.
Asetage aku nähtavasse tulekindlasse kohta, nii et see jääb süttivatest
materjalidest piisavalt kaugele, ja laske akul jahtuda. Kui aku on jahtunud,
võtke ühendust Hilti hooldekeskusega.

3.2 Nõuetekohane kasutamine
Kirjeldatud toode on akulamp. See on ette nähtud ehitusplatsi valgusta-
miseks. Seadet tohib kasutada üksnes kuivas keskkonnas.

Kasutage selle toote jaoks ainult B 12 seeria Hilti liitium-ioonakusid.
▶Nende akude laadimiseks kasutage üksnes Hilti laadimisseadmeid
C 4/36-seeriast ning laadimisadapterit CA-B12 või C 4/12-50-seeria
laadimisseadmeid.

Kasutage selle toote jaoks üksnes B 22 seeria Hilti liitiumioonakusid.
▶Nende akude laadimiseks kasutage üksnes C4/36-seeria Hilti laadimis-
seadmeid.
3.3 Aku laetuse astme näit
Liitiumioonaku laetuse astet kuvatakse kergel vajutamisel ühele kahest aku
vabastusnupust (kuni tuntava takistuseni).

5.2 Aku paigaldamine

▶Kontrollige aku kindlat kinnitumist seadmesse, et vältida aku allakuk-
kumist ja sellest tingitud vigastusi.
▶Paigaldage aku ja kontrollige, kas aku on seadmesse kindlalt kinnitatud.
5.3 Aku eemaldamine
1. Vajutage mõlemad vabastusnupule.
2. Tõmmake aku seadmest suunaga taha välja.
5.4 Lambi pea üleskeeramine

▶Keerake lambi pea soovitud asendisse.

Lambi pead saab piki telge mõlemas suunas keerata. Veenduge, et
Te ei keera jõuga üle piirikute.

6.1 Akutööriistade hooldus ja korrashoid
HOIATUS!
Elektrilöögi oht! Akuga seadme hooldus- ja korrashoiutööd võivad
kaasa tuua raskeid vigastusi ja põletusi.
▶Enne mis tahes hooldus- ja korrashoiutöid eemaldage seadmest aku!
Seadme hooldamine
• Eemaldage kõvasti kinni olev mustus ettevaatlikult.
• Puhastage ventilatsiooniavasid ettevaatlikult kuiva harjaga.
• Puhastage korpust kergelt niiske lapiga. Ärge kasutage silikooni sisalda-
vaid hooldusvahendeid, sest need võivad kahjustada seadme plastdetaile.
Liitiumioonakude hooldus
• Hoidke aku puhas ja vaba õlist ja rasvast.
• Puhastage korpust kergelt niiske lapiga. Ärge kasutage silikooni sisalda-
vaid hooldusvahendeid, sest need võivad kahjustada seadme plastdetaile.
• Vältige vedeliku sissetungimist.
Korrashoid
• Kontrollige regulaarselt, kas kõik nähtavad osad on terved ja kas juhtele-
mendid toimivad veatult.
• Kahjustuste ja/või tõrgete korral ei saa akutööriista kasutada. Laske
tööriist kohe Hilti hooldekeskuses parandada.
• Pärast hooldus- ja korrashoiutöid paigaldage kõik kaitseseadised ja kont-
rollige nende toimivust.

Soovimatu käivitumine transportimisel. Sissepandud akud võivad
kaasa tuua kontrollimatu käivitumise seadme transportimisel ja seadet
kahjustada.
▶Transportige seadet alati ilma sissepandud akudeta.

▶Eemaldage akud.
▶Transportimisel peavad seade ja akud olema eraldi pakitud.
▶Ärge kunagi transportige akusid lahtiselt.
▶Pärast pikemat transporti kontrollige, kas tööriist või akud on saanud
vigastusi.
Ladustamine
ETTEVAATUST!
Defektsetest akudest tingitud kahjustused. Akudest lekkiv vedelik
võib seadet kahjustada.
▶Hoiustage seadet alati ilma akudeta.
▶Hoidke seadet ja akusid võimalikult jahedas ja kuivas kohas.
▶Ärge hoidke akusid kunagi päikese käes, küttekeha peal ega aknalaual.
▶Hoidke seadet ja akusid lastele ja kõrvalistele isikutele ligipääsmatus
kohas.
▶Pärast pikemaajalist ladustamist kontrollige, kas tööriist või akud on
saanud vigastusi.

Kui peaks esinema tõrge, mida ei ole järgmises tabelis nimetatud või mida
Te ei suuda ise kõrvaldada, pöörduge Hilti hooldekeskusse.
