 Self-contained extended reach three-secon high-stress frame converble to two-secon
frame for conned spaces
HIS Model H10,000 is a heavy duty, high capacity portable capstan style cable pulling machine. The H10,000
pulls in a wide range of posions. It is designed to pull heavy cables long distances. It is self-contained and
easy to transport and set-up with the extended reach frame. Two pulling speeds: low speed for tough pulls
and high speed for light pulls.

transport, set up and
pull cable. Always
understand the funcon
of the cable puller
before operang. Only
experienced journeymen
should operate cable
pulling equipment.
The cable puller operator should stand o to the side of the puller away
from the line of pull. Always stay clear of the hazard area.

Always inspect puller before operang
1. Inspect cable puller, power lines and surrounding area.
2. Clean up cluered work area before seng up puller.
3. Inspect cable pulling rope. Rope and eyelet must be in
excellent condion. Use high quality, high grade low
stretch cable pulling rope.
4. Never stand on or near the coiled pulling rope as it lays
on the ground.
5. Always pay close aenon to cable pulling. Never let
anyone or anything distract this operaon, unless an
emergency situaon occurs.
6. Never use in water or in dangerous environments.
7. Think SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY!
8. Aer pull is completed, dismount puller, clean up and
inspect equipment before storing.
Transporng HIS Cable Puller
Before moving the cable puller, inspect
the equipment to make sure that the
extension arms are secured in the
locking posion using the locking axle
shas provided. Check to be sure power
cord and foot switch is contained with
puller and not loose.

When loading and unloading cable
pullers using a hoist, secure one end of
a strap to the handle on the capstan /
motor housing. Loop the other end
through the locking axle sha
connected to the sheave extension arm.

Quick Set-Up
Pre-Installaon Instrucons
1. Inspect cable puller, power lines and surrounding area.
2. Clean-up cluered work area before seng up product.
3. Wear protecve clothing. Loose clothing may be dangerous.
4. Inspect duct for debris. Mandrel and swab whenever possible.
5. Inspect cable pulling rope. Rope and eyelet must be in excellent condion.
Use high quality, high grade, low stretch cable pulling rope.
6. Check power supply. Recommended minimum is 5000 was.
7. Check Locking Pins and Rope Sheaves.
Oset Conduit Adapters are designed to be rotated to mount ush in
housing box and are available in standard schedule #40, and schedule #80
(2“ conduit adapter shown)

Operang the H10,000
2. Extend the arms to the desired
height and reach.
3. Adjust the front wheel assembly
to the desired height.
4. Aach the yoke and lock into
place with a locking pin
1. Thread rope through adapter
and yoke and place in conduit.

5. Wrap rope clockwise around
capstan several mes. Each
successive wrap reduces tailing
tension
6. Set motor switch to low speed
(follow instrucons on name
plate). Turn toggle switch on. Use
footswitch to operate motor.
7. Apply fricon during pull. Stand
to side outside 45 degree safety
angle. Discard rope as it feeds.
8. Aer pull is complete unwrap
rope from capstan. Disengage
upper arm from yoke. Lock upper
arm in storage posion.
