INSPECTION / SET-UP / OPERATION
 Always know and follow Cable-Manufacturers cable requirements: Bend-radius, sidewall
pressure, line tension. Select correct products to meet those requirements.
 Always understand pulling forces: Line-tension in relaonship to load-on-sheave.
 Always be certain that e-o (e-down) point and equipment is in excellent working
condion, secure and capable of load.
 Always inspect equipment and safety apparatus and pulling-line before use.
 Always use safety latch and clips.
 Always follow industry standards when using this equipment.
 Always know and follow company work methods.
 Never allow untrained or unauthorized personnel to set up puling equipment and / or
operate pulling equipment.
 Never allow anyone to operate equipment or stand in line of cable-pulling.
 Never exceed rated capacity of equipment / apparatus: Hook Sheave, Duct Rollers, Rim
Rollers, Pullers, Pulling-Line, etc. (Manufacturer’s rangs, use of Dynamometers or
Tensiometers)
 Never shortcut a pull using an unsafe pulling angle.
