Trouble
Disassemble the strainer and
clean the components.
Clean the air cleaner element.
Deaerate fuel. 1 Open the fuel cock.
2 Remove the drain bolt from the carburetor and drain fuel into a
container for deaeration.
1 Remove the air cleaner cover.
2 Clean the element with oil or the like and dry it.
3 Soak the element in the engine oil and wring oil well from the
element.
1 Open the cup at the bottom of the strainer.
2 Clean the filter.
The carburetor is faulty.
Air is mixed in fuel.
The strainer is clogged.
Too much load is applied.
The governor is adjusted
improperly.
The air cleaner is clogged.
Contact Honda Service Center.
Check the connected electrical
equipment.
1 Remove the ignition plug.
2 Clean the electrodes with a wire brush or the like or replace the
ignition plug.
3 Check that the clearance between the electrodes is within the
range from 0.028 to 0.031 inch (from 0.7 to 0.8 mm).
Replace the ignition plug if there is any abnormality.
The ignition plug is stained or
the clearance is improper.

Leave the Thermal Protectors [117] [119] for a while to cool them.
3 Press the button.
The engine starts but
stops soon.
The oil level sensor is operated. B) Check and replace the oil level
