This manual provi es etail instructions for the safety use of the printer.
Please rea this manual carefully before operating the printer to ensure having proper use.
◆ In this manual, there are notes that require special attention. For your safety operation, Safety
Notices are separate as follows:

Therefore, warnings in this Operation Manual, in the other ocuments on the printer cannot

: When moving the printer, hol the bottom e ge of the printer. It is strongly

: Please make sure the power is off an the power cor is remove from the printer
before transportation.
: In the cause of ropping the printer uring transportation, contact HiTi ealers or
service center for inspection of the printer. Using the printer with possible amage
without proper inspection may cause fire or electric shock.
＊ Attention: Do not ismantle or remo el the printer. Some sections of the printer
contain a high voltage or become very hot. Ignoring this warning may cause electric
shock, fire, or burns.
: Secure the power cable firmly while using.
: The thermal hea reache high temperature uring operation but it is normal. Do not

◎ Handling Instruction for Consumable and rinted Outputs
In han ling the ink ribbon, paper an printe outputs, please pay attention to the followings:
＊ Attention: Paper han ling
Use only the uplex photo paper specifie by HiTi. Do not put any other simplex photo
paper in the printer. It may cause break of ribbon.
Store the paper flat
Store the paper in a ry an ark place to avoi the irect sunlight(Temperatures less
than 30 ° c; Humi ity less than 60%)
＊ Attention: Ink ribbon han ling
Use only the ribbon specifie by HiTi
Store the ink ribbon in cool place to avoi irect sunlight (Temperatures less than 30 ° C;
Humi ity less than 60%)
＊ Attention: Printe output han ling
Store the printe outputs in a cool place to avoi irect sunlight
Store the printe outputs away from the organic solvent/flui such as benzene, thinner or
alcohol which may change or eteriorate the colors

Chapter 4. Installing and operation
◎ Connect the ower cord
Connect the power cor which is conforme to safety regulations below.
: Make sure to switch off the power of the printer before connecting to AC power.
: Do not insert or remove the power cor with wet han s. It may cause the electric
leakage.
: Do not amage or make any mo ification to the power cor . Misusing, such as putting
the heavy items on the power cor , giving a strong pull to the power cor an twist the
power cor may cause the fire an electric shock.
: When moving the printer, make sure to switch off the power of the printer, remove the
power cor in or er to have no connection with other evices. Otherwise, the power
cor might be amages an it can cause the fire an electric shock. Also, it is very likely
to fall own caught by the cor .
: For the safety consi eration, please remove the power cor from the printer an AC
power if the printer is not to be use for a long time.

4.5.1 Install the paper flanges to both si e of the
paper roll. Remove the seal attache on the
paper an make sure the front en of the paper
has been pulle up.
4.5.2 Press the button of the rear paper rack to
open the paper rack.
4.5.3 Place the paper into the paper rack by
matching the color of the flange an the hol er.
4.5.4 Please rotating the paper flanges manually
to stretch proper length of paper through the gap
of the rear paper rack until the sensor lights.

◎ rinter transportation
The following cautions are necessary in transportation of the printer. Since an incorrect
transportation metho causes a printer fault, please follow the correct metho .
1. Remove the ribbon an paper from the printer before transporting the printer.
If the ribbon or paper cannot be remove ue to a fault, consult with HiTi ealers or
service center.
2. Do not switch off the power while the front cover is open. Close the front cover while the
power is ON an switch off the power when “Ribbon Missing” is isplaye on the LCD of
the operation panel.

Chapter 6. Routine Maintenance
◎ Cleaning of Thermal rinting Head and Roller
By using thermal transfer technology, aily maintenance is not necessary if the printer has
been using properly. However, in or er to keep the best print quality, it is highly recommen e
to clean Thermal Printing Hea an Roller regularly.
: Improper cleaning of the thermal hea may amage the thermal hea . Please contact
HiTi ealers for cleaning an maintenance of the thermal hea .
Make sure the power is turne off an the thermal hea has been sufficiently coole
own before cleaning rollers.
Do not leave fingerprints on the heating element, it can amage the thermal hea .
Be careful not to hurt by the protrusions of the printer.
◎ Cleaning of Rollers
Use ouble si e a hesive tape to clean the rubber section of the roller.
◎ Cleaning of Outer Cabinet cleaning
Wipe the printer with a soft cloth. If the stains are not remove , wet the cloth an apply
weakene neutral Detergent to it.
: In case of foreign substance get into the printer, please switch off the printer, remove the
power cor an contact with ealers or service center for further help. Continuous use of
the printer un er such con ition can cause the fire an electric shock.
: Continuous use un er the abnormal con ition such as high temperature, smoke an
strange smell can cause the fire an electric shock. Please switch off the printer, remove
the power cor an contact with ealers or service center for further help.
: Do not use volatile solvents or spray insectici e on the printer outer cabinet. Otherwise,
iscoloration or crack may result.
