Battery
One 9V block battery is included; this should be placed into the battery compartment in the manner
indicated on the display unit.
Positioning of the Scales
Please ensure that the scales are in a horizontal position.
Weighing ( ON/OFF)
After switching on the scales with the ON/OFF key „ all segments are shown on the display. Please
wait until the zero appears. Then place the weight on the scales and read off the weight shown.
Net Weighing (tare)
Place an empty container (or the first weight) on the scales and press the „tare“–button until the zero
appears. Fill the container (or place the second weight on the scales). Only the additional weight is
indicated in the display.
Switch-off (ON/OFF)
Press the „ ON/OFF“-button. Automatic switch-off after 2 minutes whether weight is on the scales or
not, if no change of weight occurs in this time.
Changing the weighing units: Kg, Lb (mode)
This scales can show the weight in either kg or lbs. Press the „mode“–button until the required
weighing unit appears.
Counting (PCS)
When the “zero“ appears, place the reference weight on the scales. Then press the “PCS” button and
hold until “100“ appears in the display. Press the
(25; 50; 75 or 100) and the press the „ PCS “–button once again.

User Calibration
If needed the scales can be recalibrated. Ensure that the scales is turned on and press the
“mode“ and „tare“–buttons and keep them pressed while the
scales is turned on „ “20” appears, let go the “mode”-button first and then the “tare”-button. Then
place a 20 kg-calibration weight on the scales. Confirm with the „mode“– button the calibration
weight. First „50“ appears in the display. Then place a 50 kgs calibration weight on the scales.
Confirm with the “mode”- button. In the display you will see “50” and then „PASS“ and finally the
normal weighing display. The scales is now calibrated . If „FAIL“ instead of „PASS“ appears then the
calibration is not correct and the display disappears.The calibration routine has to be repeated.
Important: The scales should not experience any movement or draughts!
Explanation of the special symbols
1. Switch-On
After pressing the “ON/OFF” key, can check if all segments are shown correctly.
The “zero” which then appears shows that the scales is ready for weighing.
2. Negative Weight Display
Press the “tare“ button again.
3. Overload
If the weight on the scales is heavier than the max. weight, then “O.Ld“ appears in the display.
4. Power Supply
If “LO“ appears, this means that the battery is used up
and has to be replaced.
This device corresponds to the requirements stipulated in 90/384/EEC. Note: Extreme
electromagnetic influences e.g. radio unit in the immediate vicinity may affect the displayed values.
Once the interference has stopped, the product can once again be used normally. This scale is not
legal for trade.






