OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

DISCHARGING;
Model900
•Runthebattery in your model until it slowsto be sure it isdischarged
to the proper level.
Model905
•ConnecttheBattery to theOutput Connector (3)
•Move theCharge/DischargeSwitch (5) to theDISCHARGE Cycle.
•TurntheTimer(6) clockwise to begintheDischarge Cycle
•Monitortheammeter(9) closely Whenthecurrentdrops to 1.5amps,
theBattery isdischarged toa safe level.
QUICK CHARGING:
WARNING:
NEVER LEAVE BATTERIES UNATTENDED DURING QUICK CHARGE
•Discharge the Battery Pack (see Discharging instruction above).
•Connect theInputPower, either120V AC Cord (1) or 12V DC Cord (2)
•If you are using12V DC, connect thered lead to the positive (+)terminaland
theblacklead to thenegative (-)
•Connect the Battery to be charged tothe Output Cord(3).

•Move the Charge/Discharge Switch (5)to the CHARGE position.

•SettheTimer (6) to the desired amount of charge time.
•The Timer willautomaticallyswitch to Trickle Charge at theend of thequick
charge cycle The TrickleChargeLightwillglow at thistimeThe Model 900
isequippedwitha TrickleChargeLightto indicatewhen thechargerisin the
tricklecharge mode
•If theBattery becomes warm to the touch, this isa goodindication that itis
fullycharged
•You may periodicallywish tolet theBattery tricklecharge fora few hours after
quick charging.This willequalize thecells which increases capacityand runtimes.

4CAREANDMAINTENANCE
• Never leave batteries unattended duringquick charge!
• To give your batteries long life never overcharge them Overcharging
can cause the cellsto emit a great deal ofheat and may damage the
battery pack
•Always let your batteries coolbefore charging and after discharging.
• When chargingwith AC the chargers face plate will become warm
This is due to theheat radiatedby the transformerLet the charger
coolaftereach cycle to protect it fromoverheating
•When replacing the fuse, only useoneofequal value (1 ampere)
Using higher rated fuses may damage the charger and void the warranty

HOBBICO warrants thisHOBBICO SERIES 900 CHARGER to befree from defects
inmaterialsand workmanshipfora period of five(5) years fromthedateof purchaseDuring
that period we will repairor replaceat ouroption any charger that does not meet these
standards You will be required to provide proof of purchase date (receipt or invoice)
If during the five year warranty period the HOBBICO SERIES 900 CHARGER shows
defectscaused by abuse misuse or accidentitwillbe repairedor replaced at our optionat a
service charge not greaterthan50%of the currentretaillist price The charger willbereturned

Under no circumstances will the buyer be entitled to consequential or incidental damages
