gnized safety rules.
Nevertheless,itsusethreatstolifeandlimboftheuserorthird
parties,orcausedamagetothedeviceorotherequipmentdu-
ring use. Use the device only in perfect condition, and intended,
safetyandtheriskofdanger,incompliancewiththeinstruction
manual! Do immediately eliminate particular disorders, which
maya󰀨ectsafety!Alwayskeeptheoperatinginstructionsdirectly
tothecoinbox!Note,inadditiontotheuserguide,thegenerally
applicablelegalandothermandatoryregulationsrelevanttoac-
cidentpreventionandenvironmentalprotection!

The installation must be performed by authorized
personnel! Therefore, make sure, that the installation
is carried out by an electronics specialist! Since this

on, a circuit breaker must be installed on the instal-
lation side!
4 Notes on cleaning and maintenance
Thedeviceismostlymaintenance-free.Bypoorcoinacceptan-
ce,thecoinrunwayoftheelectronicmultiplecointestercanbe
cleanedwithadampclothorbrushto remove any dustor de-
posits. The metal casing can be cleaned with a damp cloth or
a cleaning agent which can be dissolved in water. Do not use
underanycircumstances, thinners, petrol,acetoneorscouring
cleaning agents.
2 Warranty
Onthefunctionofthedeviceisgrantedforaperiodof12months.
Thewarrantyislimitedsolelytotechnicaldefectsoftheunit,it
can´tbeacceptedfurtherclaims.Furtherapplyourgeneralterms
and conditions, stand of June 2011, for products and services of
theelectricalindustry(ZVEI)-alsoseewebsite:www.holtkamp.
de.

Doprovideforthesafeandenvironmentallyfriendlydisposalof
plasticpartsandelectronicreplacementparts!
Themanufacturerisnotliablefordamagecausedbyimproper
use.Theuserbears therisk.Intendeduse alsoincludescom-
pliancewiththeoperatinginstructionsandcompliancewiththe
inspectionandmaintenanceconditions.
4.1 Change battery
The MAXI has a battery type CR 2032 for the storage of stati-
stics, which should be changed every 2 years.
Ifthisdoesnothappen,thelossofthestatisticsmustbeexpec-
ted.
Method:
The battery must only be replaced by an electrician!
Switcho󰀨theelectricalvoltageattheMAXI. Removethefront
panel. Solder the old battery and replace it with a new battery.
Make sure that the new battery is properly soldered and that no
are produced solder joints. It is important to switch the device
on again after replacing the battery. If this does not, the battery
emptieswithinafewdays!
IftheDIPpointsash,calluptheaccountingstatisticsmenuat
once to delete this error.



restoretheelectricalplug-and-socketconnectiontothefront

 coinbox,ttingthecoinremoveandboltwiththelock.
8 Installation
8.1 Installation notes
Throughhighqualitymicro-electronicsisthedeviceabletoreach
a high standard of reliability in the daily use. Only if the installati-
on has been professionally carried out can the device be guaran-
teed. Please note during the installation, ...
● Onlyauthorizedandqualiedelectricianscarryoutthein-
 stallationcomplyingwiththevalidVDE–regulations.
● Thattheoorcoveringisanti-staticandconductorcapable,
 to ensure a minimum of static change and so redu-
cing the danger to the electronics.
● Amalfunctionorbreakdownofthedevicecanbecaused
by the switching sparks of the relay contacts. To reduce these
 sparksappropriatesuppressioncombinationsmustbein-
 cludedparalleltotheprotectioncontacts.RCcombinations
 forsparksreducingareonlya󰀨ectivebydirectparallelswit-
ching of the relay contacts.
●That the screened control and data cable are laid separa-
 telyfrommainscables.
● Thatthefeedlineareused,whichisfromabigcrosssec-
tiontosupplyboththeMAXIandtheattachedelectricconsu-
 mer.Itshouldbeusedancrosssectionfrom1,5mm²atthe
 minimum.
8.2 Mounting notes
● Thisdevicemayonlybemountedonasuitablesurface.
● Thedevicemustbesu󰀩cientlysecured,takeintoconsi-
derationtheweightoftheinsertedcoins.Thereare3holesin
 thebackofthecasingtoaccomplishthemountingprocess.
Screws and dowels are included by delivery.
● The device must be mounted horizontally and verti-
 callytoguaranteeaawlessfunctionofthecoinreceiver.
 Thatmeanstheangleofthedevicecanonlybemaximum
2 º, sloping forward or backward, as well as to the right or
the left.
● Theinputcablesarexedbythreedrilledholesintherear
 wallorbythreebigdrilledholesinthecasingbottom.There
 arettingswithmetricthread(M20)necessary,ifthedevice
 cablingaremadethroughthedevicebottom.Theseare
not include by delivery.
● Choosethecablecross-sectionofthefeedlinebigenough!
Attend thereby the connected electrical load. At-
tend to the VDE guidelines.
8.3 Monting instructions
● TheMAXIisconformwiththetypeofprotectionIP20and
 maybeappliedindryroomsonly.
● Theelectriccurrentsupplymustbeswitchedo󰀨bythrowof
the correspondent disconnecting switch, fuse or through
 activatingoftheFIprotectiveswitch.
● Openthelockofthecoinremoveandgetito󰀨.
● Unxthetwoscrewsofthefrontplateandlifto󰀨sofar,that
the electrical plug-and-socket connection can be deduc-
 ted.Deductedtheplug-and-socketconnectionandremove
 thefrontplatecompletely.
●The wall plate horizontal and vertically align with the help
of a level.
The tilt angle can only be 2° now mark the drilled holes.

