instructions are intended to provide you
with the information you need to use the
product and to avoid such hazards.
When using electrical appliances, basic

to reduce risk of fire, electric shock, and
injury to persons including the following:
1. Warning – Read all instructions before
using this heater.
2. Warning – This heater is hot when in
use. To avoid burns, Do not let bare
skin touch hot surfaces. If provided,
use handles when moving this heater.
Keep combustible materials, such as
furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet
(0.9 m) from the front of the heater
and keep them away from the sides
and rear.
3. Warning – Extreme caution is necessary
when any heater is used by or near
children or invalids, and whenever the
heater is left operating and unattended.
4. Warning – Always unplug heater when
not in use.
5. Warning – Do not operate any heater
with a damaged cord or plug or after
the heater malfunctions, has been
dropped or damaged in any manner.
Discard heater or return to manufacurer.
6. Warning – For residential use only.
7. Warning – Do not use outdoors.
8. Warning – This heater is not intended
for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and
similar indoor locations. NEVER locate
heater where it may fall into a bathtub
or other water container.

carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw
rugs, runners, or similar coverings.

POLARIZED PLUG (ONE BLADE IS WIDER
THAN THE OTHER). TO REDUCE THE RISK
OF SHOCK, THIS PLUG IS INTENDED TO FIT
ONLY ONE WAY IN A POLARIZED OUTLET.
IF THE PLUG DOES NOT FIT SECURELY IN
THE OUTLET, REVERSE THE PLUG.

11. Warning – This heater draws 12.5
amps during operation. To prevent
overloading a circuit, Do not plug the
heater into a circuit that already has
other appliances working.
12. Warning – It is normal for the plug
to feel warm to the touch; however,
a loose fit between the AC outlet
(receptacle) and plug may cause
overheating and distortion of the plug.
Contact a qualified electrician to replace
loose or worn outlet.
13. Warning – To disconnect the heater,
first turn off the product, then grip
the plug body and pull it from the wall
outlet. NEVER pull by the cord.
14. Warning – Do not insert or allow foreign
objects to enter any ventilation or
exhaust opening as this may cause an
electric shock or fire, or damage the
heater.
15. Warning – To prevent a possible fire,
Do not block air intakes or exhaust
in any manner. Do not use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, or where openings
may become blocked.
16. Warning – A heater has hot and arcing
or sparking parts inside. Do not use
it in areas where gasoline, paint or
flammable liquids are used or stored.
17. Warning – Use this heater only as
described in this manual. Any other use
not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause fire, electric shock, or injury
to persons.
18. Warning – Always plug heater directly
into a wall outlet/receptacle. NEVER use
with an extension cord or relocatable
power tap (outlet/power strip).
19. Warning – NEVER tamper with this
product or attempt to fix it. Any
tampering with, or modification of, this
product can result in serious injury,

vary and its temperature may become
intense enough to burn exposed skin.
Use of this heater is not recommended
for persons with reduced sensitivity
to heat or an inability to react to avoid

22. Caution – Before cleaning, or storage,
or when not in use, turn the product’s
controls to the OFF position and unplug
the heater from the electrical outlet and
allow to cool.
23. Caution – Place the heater on a

away from any combustible materials.
Do not use on an unstable surface such
as bedding or deep carpeting. Be sure
the heater is not in a position where it
may be tripped over by small children
or pets. The heater’s rubber feet will
hold it firmly in position.
24. Caution – If your home has aluminum
wiring, have a licensed electrician check
your receptacle’s connections. When
using a 1500 watt heater, aluminum
wire connections can cause a safety
issue.

NOTE: NEVER LEAVE AN OPERATING UNIT UNATTENDED
• With the POWER KNOB in the Off (•) position, plug the heater
into a polarized 120V outlet. DO NOT FORCE THE POLARIZED
PLUG INTO THE OUTLET; it will only fit one way.
• The POWER KNOB is equipped with two (2) settings
plus a fan setting:
1) Fan ( ) - this setting uses the unit as an air circulator
without heat
2) Low ( ) - this setting uses 900 watts of power
3) High ( ) - this setting uses 1500 watts of power
NOTE: Because the LOW ( ) setting does not require as much
electricity to operate, it is more energy efficient and may be a better option if you are concerned about
saving energy.
• Turn heater on by turning the POWER KNOB to either LOW ( ) or HIGH ( ), the power light will come
on.
• For FAN only operation, turn the selector knob to FAN ( ) and turn the thermostat to its highest setting.
The unit will work as an air circulator without heat.
• To disconnect heater, turn POWER KNOB to the OFF (•) position and unplug the heater when you are
finished using it.
OPERATION
SET UP
THERMOSTAT
Place the heater on a firm, level, open surface free from obstructions and at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from
any wall or combustible material
DO NOT use on an unstable surface such as bedding or deep carpeting.
BE SURE THE HEATER IS NOT IN A POSITION WHERE IT MAY BE TRIPPED OVER BY CHILDREN OR PETS.
To set the Thermostat, turn the Thermostat Control fully to the
highest setting ()
When the room reaches a comfortable temperature, slowly turn the
Thermostat Control towards () until both the heating element
and fan go off (the Power Light will remain on). This is the point at
which the Thermostat setting equals the room temperature. At this
setting, the Thermostat will automatically turn the heater back on
and then off as needed to maintain the selected temperature.
Turn the POWER KNOB to OFF (•) and unplug the heater when you
are finished using it.

CLEANING AND STORAGE
We recommend that the heater be cleaned at least once a month and before off-season storage.
• Before cleaning, or storage, or when not in use, turn the product’s controls to the OFF position and
unplug the heater from the electrical outlet and allow to cool.
• Use only a dry cloth to clean the external surfaces of the heater.
DO NOT USE WATER, WAX, POLISH, OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION.
• Clean your heater using the above-mentioned steps, then pack the heater in its original container and
store in a cool, dry place.
• This heater does not disassemble.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, one of the above-mentioned safety features may
have been activated to prevent overheating.
• Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
• Check your Thermostat setting. The unit may simply be off because you have reached your desired heat
setting.
• Check for any obstructions. If you find an obstruction, turn the heater OFF (•) and unplug it.
• Allow the heater to cool completely, then remove the obstruction. Wait at least 10 minutes, then re-plug
in the heater and follow the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS for your unit.
SAFETY FEATURES
• A high temperature safety control prevents overheating.
• Equipped with a thermal cut-off fuse that will permanently shut down the heater should it operate at a
higher than normal temperature.
• When an overheat temperature is reached, the heater will be automatically shut off. It can only resume
operation when the user resets the unit.
TO RESET
• Unplug the heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down.
• After the 10 minutes, plug the unit in again and operate normally.

11. Avertissement – Ce radiateur prélève
12,5 ampères au réglage haut. Afin
de ne pas surcharger le circuit, ne
branchez pas le radiateur sur un circuit
qui alimente déjà d’autres appareils en
marche.

fiche soit un peu chaude au toucher;
une connexion prise de courant alternatif
et fiche mal assujettie peut surchauffer
et déformer la fiche. Demandez à un

radiateur, éteignez-le puis tenez la fiche
entre le pouce et l’index pour la sortir de

pieds de caoutchouc l’immobilisent
fermement.
24. Attention – Si l’installation électrique de
la maison comporte des fils d’aluminium,
faites vérifier la connexion à la prise
par un électricien agréé. Utiliser tout
radiateur de 1500 watts avec câblage
d’aluminium peut compromettre la
sécurité.

REMARQUE: NE LAISSEZ JAMAIS UN RADIATEUR QUI
FONCTIONNE SANS SURVEILLANCE
• Le BOUTON D’ALIMENTATION étant à l’arrêt (•), branchez la
fiche sur prise polarisée de 120 volts. NE FORCEZ PAS LA
FICHE POLARISÉE DANS LA PRISE, elle n’enfonce que dans un
sens.
• Le BOUTON D’ALIMENTATION comprend deux (2) réglages de
chaleur plus le réglage ventilateur:
1) Ventilateur ( ) - fait circuler l’air dans la pièce, sans chaleur
2) Bas ( ) - consommation d’énergie de 900 watts
3) Haut ( ) - consommation d’énergie de 1500 watts
REMARQUE: La consommation d’énergie du réglage BAS
() étant plus faible, c’est le réglage écoénergétique; il pourrait même constituer votre option de choix
si économiser l’énergie vous tient à cœur.
• Mettez le radiateur en marche en positionnant le BOUTON D’ALIMENTATION au réglage BAS ( ) ou
HAUT ( ) et le voyant d’alimentation s’allumera.
• Pour utiliser la fonction VENTILATEUR, tournez le bouton à VENTILATEUR ( ) et mettez le thermostat à
son réglage le plus élevé. Le radiateur fera circuler l’air dans la pièce sans chaleur.
• Pour débrancher le radiateur lorsque vous cessez de l’employer, réglez le BOUTON D’ALIMENTATION en
position d’ARRÊT (•) puis tirez la fiche hors de la prise de courant.
FONCTIONNEMENT
MISE EN PLACE
THERMOSTAT
Placez le radiateur sur une surface rigide, plane et d’aplomb, exempte d’obstructions et située à au moins
3 pieds (0,9 mètre) des murs et des matières combustibles.
NE le faites PAS fonctionner sur une surface instable – literie ou moquette épaisse, par exemple.
VEILLEZ À CE QUE LE RADIATEUR N’ENTRAVE PAS LE PASSAGE ET QU’IL NE RISQUE PAS DE FAIRE
TRÉBUCHER LES ENFANTS OU LES ANIMAUX DE COMPAGNIE.
Pour régler le thermostat, tournez le bouton de commande afin de
le mettre au réglage le plus élevé ().
Lorsque la température ambiante est confortable, tournez
lentement la commande du thermostat vers () jusqu’à ce que
l’élément chauffant ainsi que le ventilateur s’arrêtent (le voyant
d’alimentation continuera à luire). Ce réglage du thermostat
correspond à la température ambiante de la pièce. À ce réglage, le
thermostat fera automatiquement démarrer ou arrêter le radiateur
pour maintenir le niveau de confort qui a été sélectionné.
Réglez le BOUTON D’ALIMENTATION à l’ARRÊT (•) puis débranchez
le radiateur en fin d’emploi. Abaisser la température

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
Nous conseillons de nettoyer le radiateur au moins une fois par mois et avant de le ranger, à la fin de la saison.
• Avant le nettoyage ou le rangement et entre utilisations, ÉTEIGNEZ le radiateur, débranchez-le et laissez-le refroidir.
• Utilisez uniquement un linge sec pour nettoyer les surfaces extérieures de l’appareil.
N’UTILISEZ PAS D’EAU, D’ENCAUSTIQUE, DE PRODUIT À POLIR OU DE SOLUTION CHIMIQUE.
• Nettoyez le radiateur conformément aux directives, puis placez-le dans sa boîte d’origine et rangez-le dans un
endroit frais et sec.
• Ce radiateur ne peut pas être démonté.
DÉPANNAGE
Si l’appareil arrête subitement de fonctionner ou ne se met pas en marche, il est possible que ce soit parce que l’un
des dispositifs de sécurité de l’appareil a été activé afin de prévenir un chauffage excessif.
• Assurez-vous que l’appareil est branché et que la prise de courant est fonctionnelle.
• Vérifiezle réglage du thermostat. Il se peut que l’appareil ne se mette pas en marche tout simplement parce que la
pièce a atteint la température préréglée au thermostat.
• Vérifiezs’il y a une obstruction quelconque.
Si vous découvrez une obstruction, réglez le radiateur en
position d’ARRÊT (•) et débranchez-le.
• Laissezl’appareil refroidir complètement et retirez l’obstruction. Attendez au moins dix minutes avant de rebrancher
l’appareil et de suivre les instructions de la section FONCTIONNEMENT.

• Équipé d’un fusible de blocage thermique qui arrête le radiateur de façon permanente s’il fonctionne à
une température plus haute que la normale.
• Quand survient une température de surchauffe, le radiateur s’éteint automatiquement. Son
fonctionnement ne peut alors reprendre qu’une fois que l’utilisateur a réinitialisé l’appareil.
RÉINITIALISATION
• Débranchez le radiateur et laissez-le refroidir pendant 10 minutes.
• Les 10 minutes écoulées, rebranchez l’appareil et employez-le normalement.
