Cautions
CAUTION: The light emitted from the near-infrared light
emitting diodes (LEDs) provides illumination over a wide area.
This light is not considered a risk to the unshielded human eye.
However, as with any light source, it is recommended that
normal precautions be taken to avoid unnecessary exposure.
For example, avoid staring into the beam or viewing the LEDs
directly with optical instruments at close range.
Important Safety Instructions
Read and keep these instructions.
Ensure that your installation area can safely support 3 times
the weight of the camera.
Do not install the camera in extreme temperature conditions.
Only use the camera where temperatures are within the
limits shown in the camera specifications. Be especially
careful to provide ventilation when operating under high
temperatures.
Do not install indoor rated cameras where they will be
exposed to rain or moisture.
To prevent damage to the imager, do not aim the camera
toward an extreme light source.
Do not touch the camera lens, dome or bezel (front glass
plate).
Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.

Do not use strong or abrasive cleaners, clean only with a
soft cloth and mild detergent or alcohol.

Introduction
Product Features
This series of camera adopts a high performance imaging
sensor and advanced circuit board design technology. It
features high resolution, low distortion, and low noise. It is ideal
for surveillance systems and image processing systems.
The main features are as follows:
•High performance CMOS sensor supplies high resolution
high-quality images
•Low illumination, 0.1 Lux @ F1.2 (AGC ON), 0 Lux with IR
LEDs on
•IR cut filter with automatic switching
•OSD menu, parameters are configurable
•Auto white balance, auto gain control, electronic shutter

Installation
Before you start:
•Please make sure that the camera is in good condition and
all of the assembly parts are included.
•Make sure that all related equipment is powered-off during
the installation.
•Check that the camera specification agrees with the
installation environment.
•To avoid damage, ensure the power supply voltage
matches your camera requirements.
•Please make sure the installation surface is strong enough
to withstand three times the weight of the camera and the
mounting.
•If the installation surface is concrete, you need to insert
expansion screws before you install the camera. If the
installation surface is wood, you can use self-tapping
screws to secure the camera.
•If the product does not function properly, please contact
your dealer or the nearest service center. Do not
disassemble the camera for repair or maintenance by
yourself.

For the camera that supports IR, you are required to pay
attention to the following precautions to prevent IR reflection:
•Dust or grease on the dome cover will cause IR reflection.
Please do not remove the dome cover film until the
installation is finished. If there is dust or grease on the
dome cover, clean the dome cover with clean soft cloth and
isopropyl alcohol.
•Make sure that there is no reflective surface too close to
the camera lens. The IR light from the camera may reflect
back into the lens and obscure the image.
•The foam ring around the lens must be seated flush against
the inner surface of the bubble to isolate the lens from the
IR LEDs. Fasten the dome cover to the camera body so
that the foam ring and the dome cover are seamlessly
connected.
Ceiling Mounting
Steps:
1. Attach the mounting template (supplied) to the place where
you want to install the camera.
2. Drill 4 screws holes according to the number 2 screw holes
on the drill template as shown in Figure 1-2.

3. Drill a cable hole in the ceiling according to circle A in the
center of the mounting template if you want to route the
cables through the ceiling. Skip this step if you want to route
the cables on the surface of the ceiling.
4. Rotate the bubble of the camera counter-clockwise to take it
off the camera base and remove the black liner.

5. Attach the base plate to the ceiling and secure it with the
supplied 4 self-tapping screws as shown in Figure 1-4.
Please use expansion screws if the dome camera is mounted
to a cement wall/ceiling.

6. Route the cables through the cable hole.
7. Connect the video output connector to the monitor. Connect
the power connector to the power supply.
8. Align the camera with the base plate. Rotate the camera
clockwise into the base plate, and tighten the locking screw
to secure the camera with the base plate (as shown in
Figure 1-5).

9. Adjust the Lens position, zoom and focus. Please refer to
the 3-axis Adjustment section on page 21 and the Zoom
and Focus Adjustment on page 22 for more details.
10. Attach the black liner to the camera.
11. Rotate the bubble clockwise onto the camera.

Carefully remove the protection film after the installation is
complete. Leaving the film on the bubble during installation will
protect it from scratches during the installation process.

In-ceiling Mounting Without Gang Box
You need to purchase an in-ceiling mount separately if your
installation requires an in-ceiling mounting
Steps:
1. Rotate the bubble counter-clockwise to remove it.
2. Remove the black liner.
3. Loosen the two screws as shown in Figure 1-7.
4. Remove the white base together with the base plate.

5. Attach the mounting template (supplied) to the place where
you want to install the camera.
6. Drill two screw holes according to the mounting template as
shown in Figure 1-8.
7. Drill a hole in the ceiling according to the circle in the center
of the mounting template. It is for the in-ceiling mount.

8. Attach the in-ceiling mount to the ceiling.
9. Push the two toggle bolts through the two screw holes on
the ceiling.
10. Rotate the bolt until the toggle holds the ceiling tightly so
that the in-ceiling mount is fixed to the ceiling.

11. Route the cables through the hole in the center of the
in-ceiling mount.
12. Connect the video output connector to the monitor. Connect
the power connector to the power supply.

13. Secure the camera with two screws as shown in Figure
1-10.

14. Adjust the Lens position, zoom and focus. Please refer to
the 3-axis Adjustment section on page 21 and the Zoom
and Focus Adjustment on page 22 for more details.
15. Attach the black liner to the camera.
16. Rotate the bubble clockwise back onto the camera.
