はじめに
このたびは、モジュラープラグ手動結線工具 HT601-TM3/4P-**(** : 44,64,66 の適合芯数に
より 3種類あります。)をご購入いただきまして誠にありがとうございます。
HT601-TM3/4P-**は適合電線の被覆部のストリップおよび適合モジュラープラグ TM3P-**P
および TM4P-**P を結線する手動工具です。(丸型ケーブルの被覆ストリップは行えません。)
ご使用前に本書をよくお読みいただき、本治具の機能および性能を十分ご理解のうえ、正しくご使
用くださいますようお願いします。

Congratulations on your purchase of our manual modular plug wire connection tool HT601-TM3/4P-**. (** :
there are three kinds of 44, 64 and 66 in accordance with the number of the applicable cores.)
HT601-TM3/4P-** is a manual tool which performs stripping of the sheath of applicable wire and connecting
the modular plugs TM3P-**P and TM4P-**P. (Stripping of the sheath of round cable cannot be performed.)
Please be sure to read this Instruction Manual and understand the function and performance of this tool before
putting the tool into service for correct operation.

Fully understand and follow the descriptions given in this Instruction Manual and the warning symbols attached to the tool.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Basic safety instructions
Be sure to read understand and follow all the instructions and other materials supplied with the unit as before using the tool.
Save this Instruction Manual and make it available for review whenever necessary.
Safe operation
Be sure to use the tool as instructed so that your fingers nor part of clothing is caught in the tool during crimping
operation.
Application
1. This tool shall only be used for its originally intended purpose while following the instructions specified in this Instruction
Manual. Hirose assumes no responsibility for any misuse of the tool other than the intended use.
2. Modifications to this tool is prohibited. We assume no responsibility for accidents resulting from modifications.
Maintenance
1. To prevent possible accidents caused by unfamiliarity with the operation of the tool, repair and adjustment of the tool shall
be conducted only by maintenance personnel who have a full knowledge of the tool. Any repair and adjustment beyond the
range covered by the instructions given in this Instruction Manual is prohibited. We assume no responsibility for accidents
caused by improper repair or adjustment or the use of non-genuine part(s).
2. To protect against personal injury, check to be sure that screws and nuts are properly tightened after the completion of
repair/adjustment works or replacement of the parts.
3. Periodically cleaning of the tool is recommended.
4. In the event that your tool fails to perform normally after repair or adjusting immediately stop the work and contact us
for service so as to protect against personal injury.

に読めるように、この取扱説明書を大切に保存してください。

本工具には、安全カバーなどの安全装置は取り付いていません。圧着作業に際しては、ハンドル部に指など挟まないよ
う安全に十分配慮してご使用ください。
用途

この工具は、本来の用途および本取扱説明書に規定された使用方法以外には使用しないでください。用途以外の使用
に対しては、当社は責任を負いません。

工具には、改造などを加えないでください。改造によって起きた事故に対しては、当社は責任を負いません。
保守
1.
不慣れによる事故を防ぐため、修理、調整は工具を熟知した保全技術者が本取扱説明書の指示範囲で行ってくださ
い。

不適切な修理・調整および非純正部品による事故に対しては、当社は責任を負いません。人身事故を防ぐため、修
理・調整・部品交換などの作業後は、ねじ・ナットなどがゆるんでいないことを確認してください。
3.
工具の使用期間中は、定期的に清掃を行ってください。

事故を防ぐため、修理・調整した結果、正常に動かない場合は直ちに操作を中止し、当社に連絡し、修理依頼してく
ださい。

手動結線工具は、当社のモジュラープラグ以外ご使用になることができませんので、必ず当社のモジ
ュラープラグをご使用ください。
2.
被覆ストリップは、平型ケーブルだけとなります。丸型ケーブルのストリップは行えませんのでご了
承ください。丸型ケーブルストリップの際は市販のカッター等をご使用ください。
3.
ケーブルの仕様によっては、被覆ストリップができないことがあります。
4.
ケーブルの仕様により結線品質が異なることがありますので、詳細は弊社までお問い合わせください。
CAUTION:
1. This manual connection tool cannot be used for the plugs other than our modular plugs. Be sure to use
our modular plugs.
2. Striping of the sheath is only for the flat cable. Please note that stripping of round cable cannot be
performed. Use a commercially-available cutter or the like to strip the round cable.
3. Stripping of the sheath may not be performed in accordance with the cable specifications.
4. The connection quality may differ in accordance with the cable specifications. Please contact our
company for the details.

被覆ストリップ手順／
Operating procedure of stripping sheath
①ストリップ側を手前に向けてハンドツールを持ち、ハンドルを一度閉じてラチェットを解除
してから最大限にハンドルを開きます。
Holding the hand tool with its strip side faced toward you, close the handle once to release the
ratchet. Then, open the handle as wide as possible.
②ケーブルをケーブル挿入口から差し込み、ケーブル先端をストッパーに突き当てます。
Insert the cable through the cable insertion inlet. Then, thrust the tip of cable until it is pressed
against the stopper.

③ラチェットが解除されるまでハンドルを握り、ケーブルに切り込みを入れます。
Holding the handle to the extent that the ratchet is released, make a cut in the cable.
④ハンドルを開いてケーブルを取り出します。
Open the handle. Take out the cable.
⑤切れ込みから先のケーブル被覆を手で切り取ります。
Strip the coating of the cable from the cut by hand.
注意
1.
被覆ストリップは、平型ケーブルだけとなります。丸型ケーブルのストリップは行えませんのでご了
承ください。
2.
ケーブルの仕様によっては、被覆ストリップができないことがあります。
3.
無理に引き抜いたり、上下にこじるとケーブルに傷が発生することがありますのでご注意ください。
CAUTION:
1. Stripping of the sheath is only for the flat cable. Please note that stripping of round cable cannot be
performed.
2. Stripping of the sheath may not be performed in accordance with the cable specifications.
3. Be aware that the cable can be damaged if you forcibly pull out the cable or pry it off up and down.

Stripping length and stripped condition
①ストリップ長さは下図の寸法を満足していること。
Stripping length has to satisfy the dimension in the figure below.
②内部絶縁体に傷があったり、一部が切断されていたりしないこと。
There is neither any nicks nor partial cutting in the internal insulator.
③内部絶縁体の長さおよびシース切断面がばらついていないこと。
Length of the internal insulator and cutting plane of the sheath should not be uneven.
④芯線が絶縁体切断面からはみ出していたり、引っ込んでいたりしないこと。
Core wire should not protrude or retire from the cutting plane of the insulator.

結線作業手順／
Operating procedure of cable connection
①端末処理したケーブルを内部絶縁体端面がモジュラープラグの壁に突き当たるまで挿入して
ください。
Insert the finished cable until the edge of internal insulator comes in contact with the wall of modular
plug.
②工具のハンドルを握り、ラチェットを解除しハンドルを最大に開いてください。
Hold the handle of the tool to release the ratchet and open the handle to the maximum.
③工具の挿入口にプラグが突き当たるまで挿入してください。
Insert the plug into the insertion inlet in the tool until the plug will go no further.
注意
ケーブルの内部絶縁体端面が、プラグ面に突き当たっていることを確認してください。
絶縁体端面の位置がズレていると、導通不良の原因となります。
CAUTION:
Check to be sure that the edge of internal insulator of the cable comes in contactwith the plug plane.
If the position of the edge of insulator is not proper, faulty continuity will be caused.
注意
挿入の際は、 プラグの向きを間違えないように注意してください。
CAUTION:
Be careful that the orientation of the plug is not mistaken when inserting the plug.

④工具のハンドルをラチェットが解除するまで握ってください。ラチェットが解除されたらハ
ンドルを最大まで開きます。
Hold the handle of the tool until the ratchet is released. When the ratchet is released, open the handle
to the maximum.
⑤結線の完了したプラグを工具のホルダーから取り出します。
The cable connection has been completed, take out the plug from the holder of the tool.
注意
ハンドルを握る際、ケーブルがプラグから抜けないようにケーブルを軽く押し付けながらハンド
ルを握ってください。
CAUTION:
When holding the handle, hold the handle while lightly pressing the cable so that the cable does not
come off the plug.
注意
プラグを取り出す際、ケーブルに強い力が掛かると断線の恐れがあります。
ケーブルには強い力が掛からないようにしてください。
CAUTION:
When taking out the plug, breaking of cable may be caused if a strong force is applied to the cable.
Be careful that a strong force is not applied to the cable.

品質確認／
Checking the quality
結線の完了したモジュラープラグが、下記の規格を満足しているか確認してください。
Check to be sure that the modular plug for which the cable connection has been completed satisfies the
standards below.
①内部絶縁体の先端がプラグの壁に接触していること。(クリアランスは最大で 0.5mm)
Top end of the internal insulator comes in contact with the wall of the plug. (Clearance : Max. 0.5
mm)
②圧接ハイトは、6.02±0.1mmのこと。
Insulation displacement height is 6.02±0.1 mm.
③矢印の部分でコア部分が図のように加締められ、破断のないこと。
Core portion is caulked at the arrow mark portion as shown in the figure below and there is no
breaking.
④ケーブルシースの先端位置は、ほぼ図示する位置にあること。
Position of the top end of cable sheath is approximately at the position as shown in the figure below.
⑤矢印の部分でヒンジ部の破断がないこと。
There is no breaking of hinge portion at the arrow mark portion.
⑥矢印の部分でケーブルシースが加締められ、シースの切断のないこと。(絶縁物を通してケー
ブル内部のコア線が3本以上見えないこと。)
Cable sheath is caulked at the arrow mark portion and there is no cutting of the sheath. (More than 3
core wires inside the cable cannot be observed through the insulation material.)
⑦導通耐圧検査を行ってください。
Perform the test of continuity and withstand voltage.

取扱上の注意事項／
Matters that demand special attention in operation
①工具をたたいたり、高い所から落すなどの衝撃は、絶対に加えないでください。
Never apply the shock such as striking the tool or dropping it from the high place.
②本書に示す適合モジュラープラグ、適合ケーブル以外の物を絶対に圧接しないでください。
Never perform the insulation displacement to the materials other than the applicable modular plug
and applicable cable described in this Instruction Manual.
③ラチェットが解除する前にハンドルを開くことはできません。無理に開いたりすると工具が
故障しますので絶対に行わないでください。
Handle cannot be opened before the ratchet is released. Never open the handle before the ratchet is
released. The tool will break down if it is forcibly opened.
④工具に不具合が生じた時は、解体などせずそのままの状態で不具合内容を明示のうえ、弊社
までお申し付けください。
When the trouble of tool has occurred, please ask our company by clearly describing the contents of
trouble while keeping the state as it is without disassembling the tool.

日常のお手入れについて／
Routine maintenance
①作業終了後は、汚れまたは異物などを柔らかい布で拭き取りハンドルを閉じ、プラグ挿入口
の中に異物が入り込まないようにし、乾燥した場所に保管してください。
Upon completion of works, wipe the tool to remove stains and foreign materials with a piece of soft
cloth and close the handle to avoid any foreign materials from entering the plug insertion inlet. Then
store the tool in a dry place.
②ハンドル開閉の際、パンチがカジリなどなく、滑らかに摺動することを確認してください。
When opening/closing the handle, check to be sure that the punch smoothly slides without galling.
注意
不慣れによる事故を防ぐため、修理、調整は機械を熟知した保全技術
者が本取扱説明書の指示範囲で行ってください。また、部品交換の際
は、当社純正部品を使ってください。不適切な修理・調整および非純
正部品による事故に対しては、当社は責任を負いません。
CAUTION :
To prevent possible accidents caused by unfamiliarity with the operation of the
machine, repair and adjustment of the machine shall be conducted only by
maintenance personnel who have a full knowledge of the machine.
Any repair and adjustment beyond the range covered by the instructions
given in
this Instruction Manual is prohibited. We assume no
