The status bar is on the top, and you can drag it down to open the notification panel.
The dock at the bottom contains four applications that do not change as you swipe
between home screens.
The center section of the home screen displays all applications and widgets. You can
swipe left or right to switch between home screens.
1.4 How do I switch between home screens quickly?
You can use either of the following ways to access a home screen quickly:
On a home screen, pinch together to display the thumbnails of home screens, as shown in

1.7.1 What is the difference between text messages in an Android
OS and those in a traditional OS? What is the advantage of text
messages in the Android OS?
Difference: In a traditional operating system (OS), text messages are stored in your inbox and
sent box. In anAndroid OS, text messages to or from a contact are stored in a thread.
Advantage: Messaging in anAndroid OS is similar to instant messaging services such as
MSN, which helps you to follow the conversation more easily.
1.7.2 How do I send a text or multimedia message?
Open Messaging, write a message, touch to attach a file, and touch .

The phone receives a long text message as a single complete message.
1.7.4 How do I identify received and sent messages?
Received and sent messages are identified by their positions, background colors and status.
Sent messages and a contact photo are displayed on the right with the sending time and read

time.

1.7.5 How many text messages can be stored on my phone?
The number of messages that can be stored on your phone is dependent on your phone's
storage capacity.
To check your phone's storage capacity, touch Settings > All > Storage > Internal storage.
If Delete old messages is selected, your phone stores a maximum of 500 text messages per
conversation by default. You can change this upper limit.

From File Manager, touch and hold an audio file to display an option menu. To set the audio
file as the ringtone for incoming calls, touch Set as > Phone ringtone. To set the audio file as
the message tone, touch Set as > Notification ringtone.
Alternatively, you can open Music, select an audio file and touch the Menu key. From the
displayed menu, choose Set as ringtone.

messages?
Open Messaging. Touch the Menu key then Settings > Vibrate.
1.7.9 How many English characters and Chinese characters are
allowed in a long text message?
A text message can contain a maximum of 160 English characters or 70 Chinese characters.
A long text message can contain up to 10 pages. If the message content is longer than 10
pages, the message will be automatically converted to a multimedia message.
NOTE
The actual specifications are determined by customer requirements.
1.7.10 How do I delete multiple threads or messages at a time?
Open Messaging. You can then delete a thread or all threads. To delete a thread, touch and
hold the thread and touch . To delete all threads, touch the Menu key then Delete all
threads.
To delete messages in a thread, open the thread, touch the Menu key then Delete messages,
select the messages you want to delete, and touch .
1.8 Multimedia Messages
1.8.1 Are there any restrictions on the size, format, or resolution of
a file to be attached to a multimedia message?
If an audio or video file exceeds the size limit (generally 300 KB), it cannot be attached to a
message.
If a picture is too large, it will be automatically compressed before being attached to the
message.As a result, the resolution of the picture attached to the message decreases.
1.8.2 My phone failed to send or receive a multimedia message.
Why? What can I do?
Multimedia messages cannot be received if you do not have sufficient storage available on
your phone. To solve this problem, delete unnecessary files to free up some space.
