2 Getting Started
Installing the SIM Card and the Battery
Ensure that the golden contact area on the SIM card is facing
downward.
Removing the Battery and the SIM Card
Before removing the battery and the SIM card, ensure that your
phone is powered off.

Installing the microSD Card
Open the microSD card slot on the right side of your phone.
Charging the Battery
1. Connect the charger to the charger jack on the phone.
2. Connect the charger to an AC power socket.
3. Wait until the battery is completely charged.
During the charging, the charging icon is displayed in
animation. When the charging icon becomes static, the
battery is completely charged.
4. Disconnect the charger from the phone.
5. Disconnect the charger from the AC power socket.
Using the Function Menu
1. In standby mode, press (Menu) or .
2. Press to select the desired function menu.
3. Press (Ok) or to display the selected menu.

4. Press to select a submenu.
5. Press (Ok) or to display the menu.
6. Press (Back) to return to the previous menu or exit
the function menu.
To return to the standby mode, press .
Phone Lock
The phone lock protects your phone from unauthorized use. By
default, the phone lock function is disabled. You can change the
default phone lock code (1122) into any numeric string of four
to eight digits.
Do remember your phone lock code. If you forget it, contact the
service center.
PIN and PUK
The personal identification number (PIN) protects your SIM
card from unauthorized use. The PIN unblocking key (PUK) can
unlock the blocked PIN. Both PIN and PUK are delivered with
the SIM card. For details, contact your service provider.
If you enter wrong PINs for a specified number of times
consecutively, the phone asks you to enter the PUK.
If you enter wrong PUKs for a specified number of times
consecutively, the SIM card is invalidated permanently. Contact
your service provider for a new one.

Locking the Keypad
To lock the keypad, press and then . To unlock
the keypad, press (Unlock) and then .
If the Auto keypad lock function is enabled and the phone is
idle for a preset period in standby mode, the keypad is locked
automatically.
When the keypad is locked, you can press to
answer an incoming call or make an emergency call.
You can go to Menu > Settings > Security Setup >
Auto Keypad Lock to set the Auto keypad lock.
Transfer files to the SD card
Before do the following steps, you should insert a microSD card
into the microSD card slot.
1. Connect the phone to the computer by using a USB cable
which is supplied with your phone when you purchase.
2. Your computer will detect the phone as a removable disk.
You can now access the microSD card memory in the
computer.
3. Download or upload the files to the microSD card.
4. When the transfer is finished, please make sure that you
safely remove the phone by clicking .
5. Plug out the USB cable from your phone.
6. Now you should switch your phone on, and view the files in
Menu > File Manager.

3 Call Function
Making a Call
1. In standby mode, enter the phone number.
To make an international call, press twice
consecutively to enter the plus sign (+). Then enter the
international long distance code, country code or region code,
area code, and phone number in sequence.
To call an extension, enter the phone number, press
three times consecutively to insert P, and then
enter the extension number.
2. Press to dial the number.
3. Press to end the call.
You can also make a call through call logs, contacts,
and messages.
During a call, press to adjust the volume.
Answering a Call
When there is an incoming call, you can do as follows:
Press to answer it.
Press (Options) and select Answer to answer it.
Press or (Reject) to reject it.

If the Any key answer function is enabled, you can press any
key except and to answer an incoming call.
Making a Second Call
You can make a second call by putting the current call on hold.
During a call with the first caller, you can do as follows:
Enter the second caller‟s number.
Press to dial.
Press (Options) and select Swap to swap the call if
you prefer.
The first caller will be hold automatically when the
second call is connected successfully.
4 Text Entry
Changing the Text Input Mode
The indicator of the current text input mode is displayed in the
upper left corner of the screen. You can press to
change the text input mode.

Number input mode

Press (Clear) once to delete the letter on the
left of the cursor. Press and hold (Clear) for
about 3s to clear all the letters.
In any text input mode (except the "123" mode), press
to enter a space.
There may be other input methods, depending on your
country or service provider.
Multi-tap Input Mode
In multi-tap input mode, you can press a key labeled with the
desired letter once to enter the first letter on the key, twice to
enter the second letter on the key, and so on.
Press repeatedly to select and enter
commonly used punctuations.
Press once to enter a space, twice to enter
0.
Predictive Input Mode
In predictive input mode, enter a word as follows:
1. Press each key only once according to the spelling sequence
of the desired word.
The phone displays the commonly used word according to
the sequence of key presses.
2. Press to scroll to the desired word.

3. Press or to enter the word.
Press to display commonly used punctuations.
Entering a Digit
In "123" input mode, you can directly press a number key
labeled with the desired digit.
In multi-tap input mode, press the number key labeled with
the desired digit repeatedly until the digit appears on the
screen.
Entering a Symbol
1. Press to display the symbol list.
2. Press to scroll to the desired symbol.
3. Press to enter the symbol.
5 Phone Book
Creating a New Contact
1. Select Menu > Phone Book > Add New Contact.
2. Select To SIM or To phone for saving the contact.
3. Edit the contact.
4. Press (OK) to save the contact.

Searching for a Contact
1. Press Menu > Phone Book > Search Contact.
2. Enter the contact name.
3. Press (Options) and select Search.
You can also select Menu > Phone Book > Quick
Search. Then enter the first letter of the contact name
and press to scroll to the desired contact.

6 Messaging
Writing and Sending a Text Message
1. Select Menu > Message Center > Messages > Write
Message > SMS.
2. Write the message.
3. Press (Options) and select Done for the following
options:
Send Only: Press to enter a phone number or select a
recipient from the contact list, and send the message.
Save and Send: Press to add a recipient and send the
message with saving it.
Save To Drafts: Press to save the message to the Draft box
without sending it.
Send To Many: Press to add several recipients at a time
and send the message.
Send By Groups: Press to add all members of a group as
recipients and send the message.
Writing and Sending a Multimedia
Message
1. Select Menu > Message Center > Messages > Write
Message > MMS.
2. Select To, Cc, or Bcc.
Add phone numbers or email addresses to be sent, carbon
copied, or blind carbon copied to.
3. Select Subject.
Edit the subject of the message.
