Button features and touch operations
The device's touchscreen supports a range of touch operations, like swiping up, down, left,
and right, and touching and holding.
Up button
Operation Feature
Rotate •In Grid mode, zooms in and out on apps in the app list screen.
•In List mode, swipes up and down in the app list and details
screens.
•Swipes up and down on the screen after you open an app.
To enter Grid or List mode, go to Settings > Watch face &
home > Launcher.

•Returns you to the home screen.
•Mutes incoming Bluetooth calls.

Operation Feature
Press Displays the Workout, Health Glance, and Phone apps by default.
You can also customise what the Down button does, by performing
the steps below:
1Press the Up button to enter the app list, and go to Settings >
Down button.
2Select an app and customise the Down button feature. Touch the
Settings icon to add an app or remove the app for customisation.
3Once you nished customising, return to the home screen and press
the Down button to access the customised apps, and select one as
needed.
•This feature is available only when the watch works in
Standard mode.
•You can customise the Down button feature to access a
maximum of three apps.

Swipe right Enters the HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY screen (when swiping right on the
watch home screen).
Returns to the previous screen (when swiping right on any app's
screen).
Turning o the screen
•Lower your arm or rotate your wrist outwards, or use your palm to cover the watch face
screen.
•The watch will automatically sleep without operation for a period of time.
Pairing with an EMUI/Android phone
1Install the Huawei Health app ( ).
If you have already installed the Huawei Health app, go to Me > Check for updates and
update it to the latest version.
If you haven't yet installed the app, go to your phone's app store and download and
install the app. You can also scan the QR code below to download and install the app.
2Open the Huawei Health app, and go to Me > Log in with HUAWEI ID. If you don't have
a HUAWEI ID, please register for one, and then log in.
3Power on your wearable device, select a language, and start pairing.
4Place your wearable device close to your phone. Open the Huawei Health app, touch
in the upper right corner, and touch Add device. Select the wearable device that you
would like to pair your phone with, and touch LINK.

Alternatively, touch Scan to pair by scanning the QR code displayed on your wearable
device.
5When a Huawei Health app pop-up window appears requesting a Bluetooth pairing,
touch Allow.
6When a pairing request displays on the wearable device, touch √, and follow the onscreen
instructions on the phone to complete the pairing.
After the pairing is complete, if you are using a non-Huawei phone, open the Huawei
Health app, go to the device details screen, touch Troubleshooting, and adjust system
settings. This prevents the Huawei Health app from being cleared from the background.
Pairing with an iPhone
1Install the HUAWEI Health app ( ).
If you have already installed the app, please update it to its latest version.
If you haven't yet installed the app, go to your phone's App Store and download and
install the app. You can also scan the QR code below to download and install the app.
2Open the HUAWEI Health app, and go to Me > Log in with HUAWEI ID. If you don't
have a HUAWEI ID, please register for one, and then log in.
3Power on your wearable device, select a language, and start pairing.
aOn your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, and select the wearable device that you
would like to pair from the list of devices. When the pairing request is displayed on
your wearable device, touch √.
bPlace your wearable device close to your phone. Open the HUAWEI Health app on
your phone, touch in the upper right corner, and touch Add device. Select the
wearable device that you would like to pair your phone with, and touch LINK.
Alternatively, touch Scan to pair by scanning the QR code displayed on your wearable
device.
cWhen a HUAWEI Health app pop-up window appears requesting a Bluetooth pairing,
touch Pair. Follow the onscreen instructions to pair your wearable device with your
phone.

Connecting your watch to the Internet
The watch can access the Internet via a Wi-Fi, via a connected phone/tablet, or via an eSIM
mobile network if the eSIM service is enabled. The watch will switch between these methods
in the following order to use the best possible network:

1If the watch is connected to the phone/tablet via Bluetooth, the watch will use the phone/
tablet's network to save battery power.
If you are using an iOS phone, the watch cannot use the phone/tablet's network via
Bluetooth.
2If the Bluetooth connection fails or disconnects, the watch will use the connected Wi-Fi.
3If the Bluetooth connection between the watch and the phone/tablet disconnects and the
Wi-Fi is unavailable, the watch will then use the eSIM mobile network.
Connecting to the Internet via Bluetooth
If the watch is connected to the phone/tablet using the Health app and the app is running in
the background, the watch will use the phone/tablet's network by default.
This feature is not supported on an iOS phone.
Connecting to the Internet via a Wi-Fi
If the watch is connected to the Internet via a Wi-Fi, you can use an app on your watch to
make MeeTime calls when you are not carrying the phone/tablet.
1Press the Up button on your watch to open the app list, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and turn
on the Wi-Fi switch. The watch will then automatically scan for available Wi-Fis.
2Touch the Wi-Fi you want to connect to, enter the password, and touch Connect.
The watch only supports a 2.4 GHs Wi-Fi.
Connecting to the Internet via an eSIM
To connect to the Internet via an eSIM, you need to enable the eSIM service rst.
Press the Up button on your watch to open the app list, go to Settings > Mobile network >
Mobile data, and turn on the switch for Mobile data.
Ignoring the connected Wi-Fi
1Press the Up button on your watch to open the app list and then go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
2Select the connected Wi-Fi and touch Forget.
Airplane mode
When taking a ight, enable Airplane mode as required by the airline. After Airplane mode
is enabled, your watch will disable Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and the mobile network.
You can enable or disable Airplane mode using either of the following methods:
•Swipe down from the top of the home screen to open the shortcut menu, and touch the
Airplane mode icon to turn it on or o.
•Press the Up button on your watch to open the app list, go to Settings > Mobile network,
and enable or disable Airplane mode.

Standalone Communications
Carriers and regions that support the eSIM service
The watch supports the eSIM service (One Number service and Standalone Number service).
To ensure better call experience and normal call service when there is no 3G network, it
is recommended that you contact your carrier to enable VoLTE.
•eSIM One Number service: This service allows you to add the watch as an eSIM auxiliary
device of your phone and enables the watch to share your phone's number (primary
number), voice plan, and data plan. You will then be able to make calls and browse on the
watch.
•eSIM Standalone Number service: This service means that the watch has a standalone
number and can be connected to the cellular mobile network. It has an independent tari
package with allowances for SMS messages, calls, and data.

•The eSIM service type depends on the specied carrier.
•For details about how to activate the eSIM service, visit Huawei's ocial website, select
a product, and then select Product Support.

Activating the eSIM service
Requirements
•Your SIM card must be the primary card (default card) in order for it to be enabled with the
eSIM One Number service.
•The watch must be connected to your phone via Bluetooth and your phone must be able to
access the Internet.
•The battery level of a HUAWEI WATCH 3 Series watch is higher than 30%, and that of a
HUAWEI WATCH 4 Series watch is higher than 20%.
•If you are using an iPhone, connect the watch to a Wi-Fi network rst.
Activation
1Connect the watch to your phone using the Huawei Health app.
2Go to the device details screen, go to eSIM management > One number, two devices >
Activate or eSIM management > Standalone number > Activate.
3Follow the onscreen instructions to activate the service by scanning the QR code of your
carrier. Enter the verication code sent by your carrier if necessary.
4The eSIM service will be automatically activated after the account information is
downloaded and congured for the rst time.
Do not perform any operations on the watch when the eSIM service is being activated.

Making calls on your watch
The watch supports making Bluetooth calls and eSIM calls in dierent situations.
When the watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, you can use the watch to make or
answer calls through your phone number.
If the Bluetooth connection disconnects and the eSIM service is activated for the watch, you
can make or answer calls through the eSIM number that has been activated on the watch.
•The support for call forwarding by the eSIM One Number service varies depending on
the region. For details, consult with the local customer service personnel of your carrier.
Answering/Ending a call on your watch
•To use the eSIM service on the watch, you need to wear your watch and disable Auto-
disable network by going to Settings > Battery > Power saving > Auto-disable
network.
•When you use the eSIM service on the watch, the blocklist feature is not supported.
Answer a call: When you receive an incoming call, your watch will notify you and display the
caller's information. Touch to answer the call.
End a call: Touch to end the call.
If you are not on the call screen, touch the Phone icon on the top of the home screen to
return to the call screen.
Making a call on your watch
•When the Standalone Number service is enabled and your watch is connected to the
eSIM mobile network, you can use the eSIM card or the SIM card of your phone to
make a call if the watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth. When the watch is
not connected to the eSIM mobile network, use the SIM card of your phone to make a
call. When your watch is disconnected from the phone, use the eSIM card to make a
call.
•MeeTime is only supported in certain countries or regions. For details, contact the
ocial customer service.
You can make a call in one of the following ways:
•Using the voice assistant: Press and hold the Down button on your watch to wake up the
voice assistant and say:
•"Call Zichen."
•"Dial 950800."
•Press the Up button on the watch to enter the app list, touch Contacts, and select the
contact you want to call.

•Making a MeeTime call: Touch the connected device of the contact you want to call to
initiate an HD voice call over the Internet.
To make a MeeTime call, make sure that MeeTime has been enabled for both
parties.
MeeTime is only supported on Huawei phones running EMUI 11.0 or later.
•Making a call: Touch Phone to call the contact.
•Press the Up button on the watch to enter the app list and then select Phone. You can
choose one of the following methods to make a call:
•Touch Call logs and touch a call record to call back.
•Touch Keypad, enter the number you want to call, and touch the Dial icon to make a
call.
•Touch MeeTime (if you are using this feature for the rst time, follow the onscreen
instructions to activate it), select a contact you want to call, and touch the connected
device of the contact to make an HD voice call over the Internet.
•Touch Contacts and then a contact to make a call.
Conguring settings during a call
You can congure the settings while in a call:
•Adjust the call volume by rotating the Up button. Mute a call by touching the Mute icon.
•Dial a phone number by touching the More icon and then the Keyboard icon.
Switching calls between your phone and watch
When the watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, you can switch between the two
devices on your phone during a call.
On the call screen of your phone, touch the Bluetooth button in the lower right corner and
switch audio to your phone, watch, or earphones.
Viewing your call logs
Press the Up button on the watch to enter the app list and then go to Phone > Call logs to
view your call logs (including incoming, outgoing, and missed calls).
Deleting call logs
Press the Up button on the watch to enter the app list, go to Phone > Call logs, swipe left on
the screen, and then touch the Delete icon to delete a call log.
You cannot delete multiple call logs at once.
Syncing contacts to your watch
When the watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, your watch will automatically
sync contacts from your phone.
Press the Up button on the watch to enter the app list and then touch Contacts to view your
contacts.

Using your watch to forward MeeTime calls to a HUAWEI Vision product
Make sure that the watch, phone, and HUAWEI Vision are connected to the same Wi-Fi
network and you use the same HUAWEI ID to log in to them. Disconnect the watch from
your phone.
When your phone receives a MeeTime video call from another phone, your watch will receive
the MeeTime video call at the same time. Touch to forward the MeeTime video call to
the HUAWEI Vision.
Changing or migrating the eSIM number
To change the eSIM number for your watch or migrate the number to a new watch, you need
to deregister from the activated eSIM service rst, and then reactivate it.
1Deregister from the activated eSIM service.
2Activate the eSIM service on a new watch.

Assistant
Sending and receiving SMS messages
The watch can send and receive SMS messages with the eSIM Standalone Number service.
•If the eSIM Standalone Number service is not enabled, the watch is unable to send or
receive SMS messages.
•Before using this feature, update the watch to its latest version.
•The eSIM Standalone Number service does not support MMS, SMS forwarding, group
SMS message sending, and interception of SMS from numbers in the blocklist.
Viewing SMS messages
When your watch with the eSIM Standalone Number service receives an SMS message, press
the Up button to enter the app list, and touch Messaging to view the number of unread SMS
messages and the message content.
Swipe up on the SMS details screen to call the contact or view the contact details.
Sending SMS messages
Write an SMS message:
Press the Up button on the watch to enter the app list, touch Messaging, touch +, select a
recipient, write your message, and touch Send.
Reply to an SMS message:
Touch an SMS message session in the message list or go to the notications details screen to
reply in any of the following ways:
•Touch at the bottom, and use an input method to enter text or select emoticons.
•Swipe up on the screen and select a quick reply.
Deleting SMS messages
Delete a single SMS message:
Touch an SMS message session in the message list, touch and hold a message, and touch
Delete.
Delete all SMS messages for a contact:
Find the SMS message session to be deleted, swipe left on the screen, and touch the Delete
icon.
Delete the SMS messages for multiple contacts or all SMS messages:
Select the SMS message sessions to be deleted in the message list, or select all SMS message
sessions, and touch Delete.

HUAWEI Assistant∙TODAY
The HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY screen makes it easy to view weather forecast, access apps
that have been opened, and view information from Calendar.
Entering/Exiting HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY
Swipe right on the device home screen to enter HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY. Swipe left on the
screen to exit HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY.
Audio control centre
You can use the HUAWEI Music card on the HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY screen to control
music playback on both your phone and watch. To control music playback on your phone via
the watch, you'll need to pair the watch with the Huawei Health app.
With music being played on your phone, this feature is supported if the music is displayed
on the HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY screen. Otherwise, this feature is not supported.
Voice assistant
The watch allows you to wake up the voice assistant to make calls, view weather
information, play music, start workout sessions, set alarms, view your heart rate, open apps,
translate, open World clock, launch online encyclopaedia, and control your smart home when
the watch is connected to a network.
This feature is only supported in certain countries or regions. For details, contact the
ocial customer service.
Using the voice assistant
1Press and hold the Down button to wake up the voice assistant.
2Give a voice command on the displayed screen, such as "What's the weather like today?"
More settings
Go to Settings > HUAWEI Assistant > AI Voice and congure settings.
•Wake by voice: This feature is disabled by default. After it is enabled, you can say Hey
Celia to wake up the voice assistant.
•Wake by press: This feature is enabled by default. After it is enabled, press and hold the
Down button to wake up the voice assistant.
•Broadcast: This feature is enabled by default. After it is disabled, the watch will not
broadcast voice messages.
Go to Settings > Sounds & vibration > AI Voice volume on the watch to adjust the volume.

Setting custom cards
To add custom cards
1Go to Settings > Watch face & home > Card > Manage cards.
2Touch and select the cards you would like to display, such as Sleep, Stress, and Heart
rate. The cards you see on your device may be dierent.
3To view custom cards after adding them, swipe left or right on the home screen.
To move/delete cards
•To move a card, hold and drag it to its new position.
•To delete a card which can be deleted, swipe up the card and touch Remove.
Customising service widgets
Before using this feature, update the watch to its latest version.
You can customise service widgets to suit your needs.
Customising service widgets
1Swipe left on the watch home screen to enter the widget screen, and touch a widget to go
to its home screen or a specic screen.
2Touch and hold any widget to access the editing screen.
3Touch the Settings icon at the bottom of the widget, and touch another widget to replace
the earlier one.
Adding and deleting third-party components
Third-party components are automatically installed along with third-party apps and watch
faces. Removing the third-party watch face on the watch will not aect the display of third-
party components. To remove a third-party component, open the Huawei Health app, go to
the device details screen, go to Watch faces > More > Mine, and touch the Delete icon in
the lower right corner to delete the watch face and its components.
Enabling or disabling Do Not Disturb
Immediate enabling or disabling
Method 1: Swipe down from the top of the watch face and touch Do Not Disturb to enable
or disable it.
Method 2: Go to Settings > Sound and vibration > Do Not Disturb > All day to enable or
disable it.
