6. AUTO TRIM
6.1 ABOUT THE FUNCTION
Automatic trim control delivers perfect running trim at all times. Having the
optimum running trim of your vessel means best performance, faster acceleration
and fuel savings.
If your vessel runs with high trim it is likely that you are using too much fuel
and not getting the speed that you could do. With Humphree Automatic Trim
Control you will always have the optimum trim on your boat, with out the need of
adjusting the trim system manually.
Automatic Trim Control is included with all our systems.

AUTO TRIM is turned on by default. However, it is possible to deactivate. If
deactivated, the function tile will turn grey.
It is possible to manually adjust the trim angle to compensate for dierent
conditions, e.g. loading or sea states.

6.2 HOW TO USE THE FUNCTION

14
7. AUTO LIST
7.1 ABOUT THE FUNCTION
Due to uneven loading or cross winds, the boat will often lean to one side. When
running in a straight course, AUTO LIST automatically prevents the boat from
heeling. When the boat is turning, the system allows the boat to heel naturally.

15
AUTO LIST is turned on by default.
However, it is possible to deactivate.
If deactivated, the function tile will turn grey.
It is possible to manually adjust the list command
to compensate for dierent loading conditions.
7. AUTO LIST
7.2 HOW TO USE THE FUNCTION
It is possible to manually
adjust sensitivity for faster
or slower response.
Go to SETTINGS/
SENSITIVITY to adjust.

16
8. COORDINATED TURN
8.1 ABOUT THE FUNCTION
TURN CONTROL
Thanks to the coordination between the rudder and interceptors, the
COORDINATED TURN automatically controls the heeling angle of the boat during
turns to reduce the side forces for the people on board. With a controlled heel
angle, higher turning speeds and better comfort can be achieved.
TURNING ABILITY
The boat’s turning ability can also be significantly improved as a result of the
steering force created by the Interceptor, which increases the side to side
movement of the boat.
COORDINATED TURN CONTROL
This can be combined with Automatic Trim and Automatic List Control, or with the
Stabilization function for maximum comfort on board.
NOTE!
The function demands rudder input. For more information, see Setup Manual.

17
9. PITCH & ROLL
9.1 ABOUT THE FUNCTION
ROLL STABILIZATION dynamically counteracts roll motions caused by waves, by
very quickly moving the interceptor blades between starboard and portside.
PITCH CONTROLL instructs the Lightning system to reduce unwanted pitching
which eliminates sea sickness and fatigue.
Since the Humphree RCU system will retract the Interceptors automatically when
not needed, there is no added hull resistance when the system is deactivated. This
is unique among marine stabilization systems.
9.2 HOW TO USE THE FUNCTION
Pitch & roll is turned on by default. However, it is possible to deactivate.
If deactivated, the function tile will turn grey.
It is possible to change
the sensitivity for faster
or slower response.

INTERCEPTOR DEPLOYMENT INDICATORS
Trim/list angle
The trim/list angle indicators show the current boat trim
and list angles.
If the list indicator is not close to 0.0º angle when the boat
is floating at even keel at zero speed. That means that the
list angle need to be reset.
The current interceptor
position is shown as
a percentage of the
maximum.
The bars visualizes the
current interceptor position.
Clarification list angle
+7.0º means that the boat is heeling 7 degrees to starboard.
-7.0º means that the boat is heeling 7 degrees to port.
