The automatic rmware update for the WLAN transceivers
The IP1000C has an “Automatic Firmware Update at Power ON” function that allows the WLAN transceiver to
check the rmware version at booting and automatically update if new rmware is available.
• You can enable this function in Transceiver Settings > Transceiver Settings > Maintenance of the IP1000C
setting screen.
• The WLAN transceiver checks for a rmware update while booting. If available, it automatically updates and
then restarts with new rmware.
About CE
Versions of the IP1000C which display the “CE”
symbol on the serial number label comply with
the essential requirements of the 2014/30/EU
directive for Electromagnetic Compatibility and the 2001/95/
EC directive for General Product Safety.
Disposal
The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on your
product, literature, or packaging reminds you
that in the European Union, all electrical and
electronic products, batteries, and
accumulators (rechargeable batteries) must be
taken to designated collection locations at the
end of their working life. Do not dispose of these products
as unsorted municipal waste. Dispose of them according to
the laws in your area.

DFor the power adapter
RWARNING! NEVER use the power adapter with
any device other than the IP1000C. This may result in
an electrical shock, cause a re or damage the power
adapter.
RWARNING! CONNECT the adapter into an outlet
between 100 V and 240 V AC. Otherwise, this may
result in an electrical shock, cause a re or damage
the power adapter.
RWARNING! NEVER install the power adapter to
wet place outside or near a humidier. This may
result in an electrical shock, cause a re or damage
the power adapter.
RWARNING! NEVER put something heavy on the
power adapter cable. This may result in an electrical
shock, cause a re or damage the power adapter.
RWARNING! NEVER modify, bend by force, twist,
pull or heat the power adapter’s cable. This may result
in an electrical shock, cause a re or damage the
power adapter.
RWARNING! NEVER touch the power adapter with
wet hands. This may result in an electrical shock or
damage the power adapter.
RWARNING! Use and place the power adapter and
connection cable to avoid inadvertent use by children.
This may result in an electrical shock or cause injury.
DOther precautions
• For information about operating the PC or external
devices, refer to their instruction manuals for
details.
• The supplied power adapter may at some
time need to be replaced, depending on its life
expectancy. The life of a power adapter differs
according to the environment or condition in which
the adapter is used.
We recommend replacement when it has been
used for approximately 5 years (When used under
the ambient temperature of 25°C; 77°F). Contact
your local dealer for details.
Precautions
DFor the IP1000C
RWARNING! NEVER use other than the supplied
power adapter. This may result in an electrical shock,
cause a re or damage the IP1000C.
RWARNING! NEVER attempt to connect the power
adapter to other than the [DC] jack on the IP1000C
rear panel. This may result in an electrical shock,
cause a re or damage the IP1000C.
RWARNING! NEVER disassemble, modify or repair
the IP1000C. This may result in an electrical shock,
cause a re or damage the IP1000C.
RWARNING! NEVER install the IP1000C in a wet
place or outside. This may result in an electrical
shock, cause a re or damage the IP1000C.
RWARNING! NEVER operate or touch the IP1000C
with wet hands. This may result in an electrical shock
or damage the IP1000C.
RWARNING! NEVER connect the ground terminal to
a gas or electric pipe. This may result in an electrical
shock or cause a re.
RWARNING! NEVER use the IP1000C during a
lightning storm. It may result in an electric shock,
cause a re or damage the IP1000C. Always
disconnect the power adapter before a storm.
RWARNING! Immediately disconnect the power
adapter if the IP1000C emits an abnormal odor, sound
or smoke. Contact your Icom dealer or distributor for
advice.
