Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Der Kontursensor erfasst im Durchlichtverfahren das Konturbild eines
Prüfteils und vergleicht dieses mit den Konturen eines Referenzbildes.
In Abhängigkeit vom Grad der Übereinstimmung wird das Prüfteil als
Gut- oder Schlechtteil klassifiziert.
Arbeitsabstand L
Bei der Auswahl des Arbeitsabstandes ist zu berücksichtigen, daß die
relevante Kontur bzw. die relevanten Konturbereiche ca. 50 ... 70 %
des Lesefeldes ausfüllen sollten (s. Abb. rechts). Den Arbeitsabstand L
entnehmen Sie bitte je nach Applikation der nachfolgenden Tabelle.
Die Größe sowie die Montageposition des Beleuchtungselementes
sollte so gewählt werden, daß das Objekt bzw. die relevanten Objekt-
bereiche umfassend beleuchtet werden.

Montage
Die in der Abbildung gezeigte Montage können Sie mit dem Monta-
gezubehör E2D101 und dem Beleuchtungselement (z. B. O2D900)
erstellen.

Die Auswertezeit tA ist je nach gewähltem Bildausschnitt und der
Anzahl der Konturen unterschiedlich.
Typische Auswertezeiten:
80...150 ms (ohne Verbindung zum Bedienprogramm)
1...2 s (mit Verbindung zum Bedienprogramm)
Die Trigger-Sperrzeit tPbeträgt max. 1s, wenn keine Verbindung
zwischen Bedienprogramm und Sensor aufgebaut ist. Sie beträgt
max. 3 s, wenn das Bedienprogramm mit dem Sensor verbunden ist.

Function and features
The contour sensor uses backlight to compare the contours on an
object with reference contours. Depending on the degree of mat-
ching the test object is classified as being a good object or a bad
object.
Operating distance L
When selecting the operating distance it has to be taken into account
that the relevant contour or the relevant contour areas should cover
approx. 50 ... 70 % of the field of view (see illustration on the next
page). For the operating distance L depending on the application plea-
se see the following table.
The size and the mounting position of the backlight should be selec-
ted so that the object or the relevant object areas are sufficiently illu-
minated.

The illustration shows mounting by means of the mounting accessory
E2D101 and the backlight (e.g. O2D900).
Note
You will find detailed operating instructions on the CD ROM for the
operating software E2D102 or on the ifm website.

5 Output signal "READY" provides the status of the sensor:
”1“ after the evaluation has been carried out.
”0“ as long as the evaluation is being carried out, a different
parameter has been selected or in case of an internal error
(trigger signals are ignored).
6 Output signal "OUT" provides the result of the evaluation:
”0“ contours do not match
”1“ contours match

Timing diagram inputs/outputs
The evaluation time tEdiffers depending on the selected image section
and the number of contours.
Typical evaluation times:
80...150 ms (without connection to the operating program)
1...2 s (with connection to the operating program)
The trigger disable time tpis max. 1 s if no connection between ope-
rating program and sensor has been established. It is max. 3 s if the
operating program is connected with the sensor.

Fonctionnement et caractéristiques
Le détecteur de contour à l'aide d'une lumière backlight compare le
contour d'un objet avec le contour de référence mémorisé.
En fonction du degré de similitude, l'objet contrôlé est classifié comme
pièce bonne ou pièce mauvaise.
Portée de travail L
En sélectionnant la portée de travail il faut prendre en considération
que le contour à contrôler ou les sections à contrôler du contour
devraient couvrir environ 50 ... 70% de la zone de lecture (voir illust-
ration à droite). La portée de travail L en fonction de l'application est
indiquée dans la table suivante.
La taille et la position de montage de l'élément d'éclairage devraient
être choisies de façon à ce que l'objet ou les sections à contrôler de
l'objet soient suffisamment éclairés.

Temps d'évaluation typiques:

Le temps de blocage du trigger tpest max. 1 s si aucune connexion
avec le programme et le détecteur n'a été établie. Il est max. 3 s si le
programme est raccordé au détecteur.
