IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read and follow all of the instructions even if you feel you are familiar
with the product, and nd a place to keep this manual handy for future
reference.
Important: This appliance is intended for use in a domestic
environment only.Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer
and may cause re, electrical shocks or other injury to user or property.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed:
• Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance for the
rst time.
• Before using the appliance, check the voltage indicated on the rating
label corresponds with the main voltage in your home.
• When the appliance is turned on for the rst time, operate it at
maximum temperature for at least 2 hours. During this time, make
sure you are in a well-ventilated area whilst the ‘new smell’ is burnt off.
This is completely normal and is not a cause for concern.
• Place the appliance on a at, stable, heat-resistant surface. Operating
the product in any other position could cause a hazard.
• Do not use the appliance if it arrives partially assembled or damaged.
• In order to prevent overheating, do not cover the appliance.
• Children aged from 8 years and above can use this appliance if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are
older than 8 years and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than
8 years
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge can use appliances if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
Caution: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause
burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable

people are present.
• It is normal for the appliance to make ‘cracking’ noises when it is
heating up and cooling down.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.This
appliance is designed for use as a supplementary heat source; it is not
intended to be the main source of heat.
• Never leave the appliance unattended whilst in use.
• Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
• Do not use the appliance to dry washing.
• Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged.
• Never rest the power cable on the hot ns of the appliance.
• Always ensure that the appliance is positioned at least 1m away from
furniture or other objects.
• The appliance should not be used if it has been dropped or if there are
visible signs of damage.
• This appliance is for household indoor use only. Never use it outdoors.
• Before moving or attempting to clean the appliance, allow it to cool
down completely.
• The appliance should not be placed directly under a xed power
socket.
• Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance.There
are no user-serviceable parts inside.
• This product contains oil and must be disposed of correctly.
• Do not dispose with general household waste. Take it to your nearest
waste management centre for processing.
• The use of an extension lead is not recommended, as overheating of
the extension lead may occur during appliance operation.
Caution: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the
thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external
switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly
switched on and off by the utility.
• As this is a high power appliance, the plug could get warm during use.
This is normal and should not reach excessive levels.
• To avoid an electrical circuit overload, please ensure that no other high
wattage appliances are used simultaneously on the same circuit. If in
doubt, please contact a qualied electrician.

Note: This appliance is tted with a non-adjustable internal thermostat
that regulates the heater’s operating temperature and prevents
overheating.Therefore it is normal for the appliance to automatically
switch on and off during normal use. The non-adjustable internal
thermostat works independently and does not affect the thermostat
setting on the control panel.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Fitting the Castors
• Turn the appliance upside down.
• Attach the castors to the bottom of the appliance securely using the wing
nuts provided.
• Turn the appliance back upright, then wait 5 minutes before turning the
appliance back on.
Location of the Appliance
The appliance should be positioned where you most need the warmth. It is
recommended to place the appliance underneath the coldest window in the
room as this helps to increase the convective movement of the heat. Do not
locate the appliance underneath a xed power point and always ensure that the
appliance is placed at least 1m away from furniture, curtains, walls etc.
First Time Use
• When the appliance is turned on for the rst time, operate at its maximum
heat setting for at least 2 hours. Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area
during this time, as the heater will give off a ‘new’ smell.This is completely
normal.
• The appliance will make ‘cracking’ noises when it is rst turned on and when
it is turned off and cooling down.
• Connect the appliance to the power socket and press the On/Off button
once to switch the appliance to standby mode.
• Press the power button to switch the appliance to ‘On’.The default power
level and temperature will be set and the appliance will begin to work.

Functions
POWER: Use this button to cycle between the appliance’s 3 power levels and
standby mode.The power level set is indicated by the lights on the right hand
side of the control panel:
Light 1 + 2 + 3 Full Power (default)
Light 1 + 2 Medium Power
Light 1 Low Power
Note: If no lights on the right hand side are lit, but the red indicator on the left
hand side illuminates, the appliance is in standby mode.
TEMPERATURE: When this button is pressed for 1 second, the
desired temperature can be set:
• The LED display will ash the current temperature of the oil.
• Press the and buttons to select the desired temperature (between
5°C – 30°C)
• The appliance will heat the room to the desired temperature.
Note: The default temperature setting is 24°C
TIMER: Press and hold this button for 3 seconds to set the timer:
How to use the Timer to switch ON the appliance (H):
• Plug the appliance into a suitable wall socket and then press the On/Off
button once to switch the appliance to standby mode.
• Press the Power button to switch the appliance to ‘On.’
• Set the temperature and power levels as desired.
• Press and hold the Timer button for 3 seconds, release, then press
again for a further 3 seconds; the LED display will show the letter ‘H’.
• Use the and buttons to select the desired turn on time.
Note: The timer can be set from 0-24 hours in increments of 1 hour.
• The appliance will switch to standby mode and all 3 power lights will ash;
the unit will automatically turn on after the set time.
How to use the Timer to switch OFF the appliance(h):
• Plug the appliance into a suitable wall socket and then press the On/Off
button once to switch the appliance to standby mode.
• Press the Power button to switch the appliance to ‘On.’
• Press and hold the Timer button for 3 seconds; the LED display will
show the letter ‘h’.
• Use the and buttons to select the desired turn off time.
Note: The timer can be set from 0-24 hours in increments of 1 hour.

• The appliance will automatically turn off after the set time.
How to use the Timer sequence to switch the appliance ON
and then OFF:
• Plug the appliance into a suitable wall socket and then press the On/Off
button once to switch the appliance to standby mode.
• Press the Power button to switch the appliance to ‘On.’
• Set the temperature and power levels as desired.
• Press and hold the Timer button for 3 seconds, release, then press
again for a further 3 seconds; the LED display will show the letter ‘H’.
• Use the and buttons to select the desired turn on time.
• Press and hold the Timer button for 3 seconds; the LED display will
show the letter ‘h’.
• Use the and buttons to select the desired turn off time.
• The appliance will switch to standby mode and all 3 power lights will ash.
• The appliance will automatically turn on after the set amount of time, and
then run for the desired number of hours before turning off automatically.
Note: The appliance will give priority to the turn ON function when both are
set.
FROST PROTECTION: If the appliance is switched to standby mode and the
ambient temperature reaches below 5°C, the appliance will automatically cycle
on and off in order to maintain a temperature of 5°C.
ECODESIGN FUNCTION: This appliance has an eco function for energy
saving. If the ambient temperature is within 1°C of the desired temperature set,
it will switch to a lower power mode to maintain the set temperature and save
energy.
THERMAL SAFETY CUT-OUT: This appliance has 2 overheat protection
devices. The rst device is an overheat switch that can be reset by the user, once
the cause of overheating has been removed and the heater has cooled down fully.
The second device is a thermal fuse that cannot be reset by the user.
In the event that the appliance stops working as a result of overheating, take the
following immediate steps:
• Disconnect the appliance from the power source.
• Remove any objects that are covering the unit.
Caution: Do not touch the appliance as it will be hot.
• Leave the appliance to cool down fully.

• Once completely cool, use the On/Off button to switch off the appliance.
• Reconnect the power source and switch on using the On/Off button and
Power button.
Note: If the appliance still fails to work, it is likely that the secondary
overheat protection device has operated – this device cannot be reset and it is
recommended to contact the manufacturer. Do not attempt to open or repair
the appliance.
TIP OVER SWITCH: This appliance is tted with a safety tip over switch to
ensure it can only be operated in the correct upright position. Please ensure the
unit is in an upright position in order for it to operate correctly.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before attempting any cleaning or maintenance on the appliance, allow it to cool
completely and ensure that it is switched off and disconnected from the power
socket.
Wipe the outside of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.A mild detergent may be
used if necessary. Dry with a cloth. Do not use any harsh abrasives or solvents.
Never immerse this appliance in water or any other liquid.
It is also recommended to periodically clean the guards by lightly running a
vacuum cleaner nozzle over them.This will remove any dust or dirt that may
have accumulated inside or on the unit.
If the appliance is not going to be used for a long period of time, place the cable
into the integrated cable storage compartment and store the appliance in a dry
place.
Note: Storing the appliance in a damp environment could cause the unit to rust
and/or could affect the electronics in the appliance.

DISPOSAL INFORMATION
The European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household
electrical appliances must not be disposed of in normal unsorted
municipal waste.
Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimise
the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact
on human health and the environment.
The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your
obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance it must be separately collected.
Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information
concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.
MAINS PLUG FUSE REPLACEMENT
Fuse Replacement (Class I)
This appliance must be earthed. Remove the central screw on
the plug and open the shell. Take out the fuse and replace with
a new fuse of the same Amp. Install the shell again and tighten
the screws.

against mechanical and electrical defects.You can extend your warranty for a further 12 months by
registering your product.
Upon registration we will cover your product for a period of 24 months from the original purchase
date against any mechanical or electrical defects.
To qualify for the guarantee, the product must be used for domestic household use only and in
accordance with the instructions in the user manual.Any misuse of the product will result in the
warranty being void.
The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, misuse, neglect, tampering or incorrect
adjustment or installation.
The guarantee will be rendered invalid if the product is resold, has had its serial number removed
(or has an invalid serial number), or if an unauthorised person has carried out any repairs or
alterations.
The warranty does not cover accessories or consumable parts that require replacement under
normal use. This includes shelving, dials, lters, belts and trays etc.
In the unlikely event of a breakdown please refer to the Troubleshooting guide in your user manual
and check all plugs, fuses and the electricity supply.
