connecting the PLC.
ATTENTION!
hand carefully the touch screen during all the operation of unpacking, mounting, and connecting.
5. MACHINE IDENTIFICATION
The drying ironer is identified by a label with serial number, model, power, and technical characteristics. In order-to-
order spare parts or request technical assistance the correct machine identification is necessary.
If this label has been modified, damaged, or removed the machine cannot be correctly identified, so any installation or
maintenance operation is difficult, and the warranty automatically expire.
6. POSITIONING AND INSTALLATION ROOM
Installation must be operated by qualified personnel. The machine must be positioned in a flat surface horizontally and
in a very steady way, using the adjustable feet on the ironer side base.

E211101X_rev02_ENG 29/06/2022
8
To check the correct position of the ironer, use a at least 1-meter-long water level, and lay it above the belt’s separator,
where it is possible to arrive opening the back panel.
To adjust the feet, open the side doors and screw or unscrew the feet threaded bar. Unscrew with a nr 19 key the lock
nut.
Adjust the height of the threaded pivot using a nr 8 key until the machine is perfectly horizontal. Once the correct
position has been obtained, screw again the nut with the nr 19 key until the threaded bar is locked.
If necessary, repeat the same operation for each of the eight feet.
Check the correct leveling of the machine as follows:
- Check the leveling first on one side, and then on the other side of the machine
- Then check the leveling in the central part of the machine
For a correct use, working and maintenance, leave at least 500 mm free behind the machine.

E211101X_rev02_ENG 29/06/2022
9
ATTENTION!
For a correct operation of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, leave on both the machine
side a space equal to the ironer length.
The surface where the machine is position must bear at least 500 kg/m2: the machine load can be considered static. The
machine must be positioned in a good, aired room (as per the normative in force) and the room temperature must be
between +10°C and +35°C. In the room must be granted an air recycle proportional to the air used by the machine.
The ironer must be vented directly from outside in an environment free from pollution. The ventilation must be
guaranteed by permanent opening on the room walls, which are looking on outside. The net free total section must
comply with local rules on matter.
7. NOISE
The air noise produced by the ironer causes and continue and weighted A level acoustic pressure which is lower than 70
dB.
8. EXHAUST (only Gas heated ironers) AND HUMID AIR CONDUCTION
The exhaust conduction (for gas heated ironer) must comply with the rule on matter in force. In case of gas heated
ironer, the chimney must be far from easily inflammable or combustible materials (at least 500 mm). Contact with this
material must be avoided using air space or insulators. In case the distance cannot be respected, please use an adequate
protection against heat.
The exhaust conduction can be 15 meter long (diameter 100 mm) and must be insulated or predisposed in a way to
collect the eventual condenses. In case the length needs to be more than 15 meter the installer must contact the
manufacturer. The exhaust conduction, the connection to the chimney flue and the chimney flue must be realized
complying with national and local rules in force. Use of rigid ducts is compulsory; connections between elements must
be tight and all the elements must be resistant to heat, condenses and mechanical solicitation. Chimney flue not
dimensioned or not correctly shaped amplifies burning noises and gives condenses problems; they may alter burning
parameter making easier soot and scales. To avoid burned gas exit and noise, connections must be tight; use material
(filler, rubber solution, silicones) heat resistant.
In case of connection to existing exhaust collectors, the connection must never be at “T” way, but always at “Y” with
45° connection.
ATTENTION!
Humid air exhaust (marked in the picture with A) and burn gas exhaust (marked in the picture with B) must
always be external to the installation room, one separated by the other and in compliance with the local rules in
force.

E211101X_rev02_ENG 29/06/2022
10
ATTENTION!
The user must be aware and trained about the dangerousness connected with the tampering with conductions
and/or modification, obstructions, or ructions about the installation room ventilation openings.
Refer to the here attached technical data sheet for dimensions and quote about gas and humid air exhaust.
9. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Electric connection must be conducted by qualified technicians and must comply with local and national rules in force.
Check the supply tension, it must comply with the label data on the ironer back. To connect the machine, please use a
cable H05 VV –F or more. The cable must be dimensioned following the here below section chart:

Before the ironer power supply line install a device for disconnection (i.e.: magneto thermal differential unit) with a
contact opening which allows the complete disconnection in case of the conditions of III category over tension are
verified, complying with the rules in force.
Be sure the main switch is in position “0”.
Open the side door using the key given with the ironer documents.
Take off the door paying attention that already connected cables are not pulled out.
Pass the cable through the cable holder on the ironer left side.
Electric supply must be done connecting the cable to the terminals mounted on the ironer:

E211101X_rev02_ENG 29/06/2022
12
ATTENTION!
As soon as the electric connection is made, check the suction fan correct working. In case the suction fan is
supplied with a 3-phase system, please check that the motor sense of rotation is correct and that the direction is
the one of the air exhausts. In case the motor fan is turning in the wrong direction, please change round two
supply phases.
ATTENTION!
In case the machine is gas heated, please check the correct position of phase and neutral in case of 1 phase
machines. The wrong connection causes the missing survey of the ionization sensor.
Ironer must be connected to an efficient ground system: the manufacturer declines any responsibility in case this
connection would not be complying with rules on matter.
Before any maintenance operation cut the electric supply to the machine: for maintenance refer to the ironer electric
diagram available in the pocket on the side door.
WARNING!
Even if the main switch is on “0”, cables before it has tension!
10. GAS CONNECTIONS (only gas heated ironer)
Gas connection must be made by qualified technicians and in compliance with national and local rules in force. Please
check the supplied gas, it must correspond to the one indicated on the technical data labels stuck on the machine back.
Please check the correct position of the regulation ring (if existing). After that, close the side panels if still open, start
the machine and evaluate the pressure on the nozzle: use the following tables.

For the supply system, please use an approved pipe: in case of a rigid pipe, it must be equipped with an expansion ring
For the gas supplying pipe dimensions, please refer to the attached technical data sheet: the external pipe system must
be adequate to the used kind of gas and in compliance with the rules of the country where the ironer is going to be
installed. Install a pressure reducer correctly dimensioned on the gas supply system and equipped the line with a valve
with manual closure system.
ATTENTION!
Gas valves are dimensioned for a pressure up to 55mbar. If the pressure is above this value, the valve
membranes could be broken. For this reason, a careful control of the pressure on the system before the machine
installation is compulsory.
ATTENTION!
If the pressure at the nozzles falls, it means that the gas system capacity is not enough. In this case, check if the
gas supply lines are o fan adequate size. Do not forget to take in consideration the line pressure falls because of
the line length.
Do not forget that adequate air inlets are necessary and that they must comply with the local and national rules in force
and that they must take in consideration the installed power and the suction fan capacity:

11. PROOF (only gas heated ironer)
All system and equipment connection must be proofed. We suggest you use an adequate spay identifying leaks;
otherwise, you can spread some foamy not corroding substances. In any case no bubbles must form. In case there are
some leaks, please repair them.
DANGEROUS! Do not use free flames to proof gas leaks!
12. STEAM CONNECTION (only steam heated ironers)
Steam connection must be performed by qualified technicians and in compliance with national and local rules and
standards.
Steam must have the following specifications:
minimum pressure: 10/12 bar
minimum capacity requested per model:
2500: 95 kg/h

H2 (distance from the floor) referring to the Water/air separator (3) must be higher than H1 referring to the coupling (2).
The two quotes must differ at least of 30 cm.
13. PED ROLLER INSTRUCTIONS
In the steam heated ironer, the roller is subject to the European Community 97/23 directive in matter of equipment
under pressure, usually called PED, because the cylinder is a pressure container of IV category.
Each roller is CE marked to confirm that it was evaluated for the conformity: a metal label explains its characteristics
(as well as the corrosion upper thickness value) and the serial number. This label is fixed on a lateral cover of the roller.
The roller mounting is operated by the manufacturer.
ATTENTION!
The roller working start is under installer responsibility. The installer must ask for the homologation. The safety
devices are not included in the machine supply.
It is necessary to remember that:
- roller max working pressure is 12 bar
- the entire system must be equipped with a safety valve, which must be sized respect on the entire system where
the ironer is installed: the installer is responsible for the valve working start and for the safety valve
maintenance. Dangerous situation must be avoided providing suitable safety devices.
- The installer must provide suitable control system to verify immediately possible working problems.
- The installer must control if in the installation room gas or vapours may cause fire if they should enter in
contact with the heated surface.
- Each two year control the roller inside surface to verify corrosion level. The optic fibre video camera can be
insert using the roller air hole, as shown in the below picture:

E211101X_rev02_ENG 29/06/2022
15
- Referring to any opening a closing device, change the gasket, if necessary, after the opening: check damages
on the gasket contact surface.
- The installer must provide suitable tools to avoid risks caused by the air intake and exhaust obstructions.
- Each connection must be fixed using suitable locking elements and controller yearly.
- At the working shift beginning the pressure must increase gradually, the steam must be open slowly (see the
relative paragraph)
- During long time of rest, the roller external surface must be protected against rust with suitable substances
The roller programmed life is 10 years: after this time, the machine must be qualified again.
Dangers may be caused by:
- Steam looses because of the couples breaking down: these leaks are contained inside the machine. Following
eventual steam looses, all the machine supply must be cut, and the correct maintenance must be done.
- At the end of the roller life, the couples may cause steam looses. This loose can happen near the machine sides.
In this case, stop the machine and verify if the roller must be changed.
14. COMPRESSED AIR CONNECTION (only for ironer equipped with folding system)
Compressed air connection must be performed by qualified technician and in compliance with national and local rules
and standards. Compressed air supplying the circuit must have the following specification:
- minimum pressure: 6 bar
- air blew default pressure: 2.9 bar
- air connection: 12mm rapid connection.
- Condenses outlet: 6mm rapid connection.
- Minimum capacity: 500 litre/h (in case of on compressor dedicated to the machine, we suggest a minimum
tank of 50 litres)
All connection between installation system and equipment must be proofed. We suggest you use a spray identifying
leaks; otherwise, you can spread some foamy not corroding substances. In any case no bubbles must form. In case there
are some leaks, please repair them.
At the end, close the side panels, start the machine and using the two gauges on the back control the correct air pressure.

E211101X_rev02_ENG 29/06/2022
16
ATTENTION:
The air pressure regulation depends on the weight of the fabrics you need to iron. Heavier is the fabric, higher is
the air blow pressure you need.
Air pressure regulation for first and second fold is different. For the second fold the weight to move is double.
15. WORK CYCLE
During operation it must be remembered to use the entire length of the roller, to keep uniform temperature over the
entire length of the machine.
The temperature to be used must follow the temperatures allowed by the characteristic plates of the fabrics to be ironed.
Also remember that the conditions of residual moisture of the fabrics to be dried and ironed should not be more than
50%. The drying Ironer must therefore be used on fabrics that have been centrifuged with a high centrifugation G-factor
washing machine ≥ 300. Its purpose is to dry and simultaneously iron the flat garments.
The productivity values detectable by the technical data sheets are recorded according to ISO 9398.
ATTENTION!
The formation of yellow stains on the stretched fabrics, signals the presence of detergent not carefully eliminated
during rinsing!
The formation of folds on the stretched fabrics can be generated by too low residual moisture. Also pay attention
to the thicknesses of the fabrics. Significant differences in thickness (due, for example, to the lateral seams), can
give rise to the formation of wrinkles and difficulties of insertion.
Even the passage of a double or folded fabric can be the origin of folds or curls, therefore it should be avoided.
The ironing work must not begin until the minimum temperature of 80 ° C is reached, and in any case not before
the minimum temperature necessary for the ironing of the fabrics during processing is reached.
In case of emergency and need for a quick stop of the machine, press one of the emergency buttons on the sides
of the machine. When the emergency button is pressed, the ironing roller stops sand the temperature is above 80
° C, you can burn the ironing bands. If the machine cannot be restarted, use damp sheets by passing them
between roller and bands, and rotating the roller by hand as described in the relevant paragraph. The operation
must be repeated until the temperature drops below 80 ° C.
The ironing area is delimited by ironing bands and introduction bands. Ironing on the outside of the
introduction bands can give rise to stains on the fabrics.

E211101X_rev02_ENG 29/06/2022
17
Ironing must be conducted scrupulously following the indications given in the labeling of the fabrics.
In case of absence of labeling, check the composition of the fabrics before deciding on the ironing temperature.
Pay special attention to mixed fabrics and fabrics with seams of heterogeneous material.
16. WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF ENTRAPPING
The risk is reduced by the presence of hand-saving protection. If, however, the entrapping of a limb occurs, it is
necessary to be able to manually reverse the rotation of the roller, to be able to free the limb.
In this case, follow these steps.
Remove the power supply by turning the main switch by placing it on "0".
Use the key, supplied with the documentation, to open the lock of the side door.
Open the door by rotating it on the base
Rotate the flyer:
- clockwise: to turn the roller in the opposite direction to the ironing and free the trapped limb.
ATTENTION!
If the temperature of the roller is high (above 80°C), continue to insert wet fabrics over the entire length of the
roller, and continue to rotate the roller by hand, to avoid burning of the ironing bands.
Once completed, close the door with the key and wait for the return of the power supply.
When the power supply returns, turn the main switch by placing it on “me.” The microprocessor display turns on again
and the machine is placed on standby, waiting for a new start-up command.
ATTENTION!
To make sure that all the personnel who use the machine have well understood the procedure to free a trapped
limb. Perform six-monthly exercises to verify the correct understanding of the procedure.
17. WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF LACK OF ELECTRICITY
If the power supply is lost, it is possible that one or more garments stay inserted between the roller and the ironing
bands risking burning out.
It is also possible that, if the temperature is above 80 ° C, even the ironing bands risk burning.
In this case, follow these steps. Remove the power supply by turning the main switch by placing it on "0".
Use the key, supplied with the documentation, to open the lock of the side door.
Open the door by rotating it on the base

E211101X_rev02_ENG 29/06/2022
18
Rotate the flyer:
- counterclockwise: to turn the roller in the direction of ironing and extract the linen stuck
At the same time, insert fabrics with the usual ironing methods, along the entire length of the roller, to lower the
temperature.
ATTENTION!
If the temperature of the roller is high (above 80°C), continue to insert wet fabrics over the entire length of the
roller, and continue to rotate the roller by hand, to avoid burning of the ironing bands.
18. WORK CYCLE: VERIFICATION OF SAFETY SYSTEMS
After turning on the machine, before starting work, it is necessary to check the perfect functioning of the safety devices.
The operator must perform the following procedure each time the machine is started.
ACTION to be performed
REACTION to be obtained
Press the ON/OFF button on the digital keyboard
→
The cylinder MUST begin rotation.
Press the ON/OFF button on the digital keyboard
The cylinder MUST stop the rotation
Start the rotation of the roller: push the hand
protection.
Repeat the operation of pushing the hand protection
in at least three places: in the center and 50 cm from
the right end and from the left end.
→
In all three tests, the roller MUST stop: the SAFETY
RESET button MUST be switched on.
Start the rotation of the roller: take turns running the
right emergency buttons.
→
The roller MUST stop: the SAFETY RESET button
MUST turn on.
Once the preliminary operations of verification of the efficiency of the safety systems have been completed, it is
possible to start the ironing cycle.
ATTENTION!
All users must be informed of this procedure and be aware of the operation of the machinery's safety systems.
19. USING THE EMERGENCY BUTTON
In case of emergency and need for a quick stop of the machine, press the emergency button on the side of the machine.
When the emergency button is pressed, the ironing roller stops at the same time the lay is lifted.
When the emergency has been resolved, rearm the emergency button, rotating it according to the indications on the
fungus itself.
Press the red RESET button to re-enable the operation of the machine.
Stop Category 1: Controlled stop with power available to the actuators to achieve shutdown and then power removal
when the stop is reached.
20. START AND STOP
Turn on the machine by bringing the main switch, described in the earlier paragraph, to the "I" position.
Make sure that the emergency button is in the resting position, and that it has not been activated during transport or
before the last shutdown of the machine.
Before starting the machine, always perform the safety check procedure (check the relevant paragraph).

When you turn on the machine, the display shows for a few moments the software version of the installed
microprocessor and its release date.
Then view the menu for the choice of the program:
To select a program simply tap on the desired icon.
To view added programs in memory, slide the screen, or tap one of the two arrows.
When a program is selected, its numerical storage and characteristics appear on the display, for example:
Below is a detailed description of the programming parameters that may appear in the preview phase:
HEATING
It is the temperature set for the ironing cycle.
Please note that the choice of temperature must be made by referring to the specific characteristics of the fabric.
The definition of temperature is also related to the choice of roller speed.
ROLLER SPEED
It is the speed of rotation of the roller fixed for the ironing cycle.
Please note that the choice of speed must be made by referring to the specific characteristics of the fabric.
The definition of speed is also related to the choice of ironing temperature.

IMPORTANT!
After the cycle has been started, all the parameters described so far can be changed using the relative display
icons: these changes, however, will not remain in the program's memory.
When the desired program is displayed on display, simply press the START icon to start it, the following images will
appear:
The rotation of the roller and simultaneously heating will be started.
While the machine is running, it is possible to adjust the temperature, speed, and ironing pressure (see relevant
paragraphs).
At the first achievement (after switching on) of the set temperature value, the buzzer emits some beeps, to warn the
user.
In any case, do not start the ironing work until the minimum temperature of 80 ° C is reached.
At the end of the ironing cycle, the machine must be stopped by pressing the COOL DOWN button: in this case the
machine will continue to keep the roller in rotation until it reaches 80 ° C, a temperature considered safe for the
complete shutdown by the general switch of the machinery (see the dedicated chapter).
Avoid pressing the STOP button to interrupt an ironing cycle if the safety temperature of 80°C has not already been
reached.
ATTENTION!
The machines described here should not be used to perform bending. We therefore invite you to avoid folding
the fabrics to be ironed one or more times, before introducing them into the drying calendar!
During operation it must be remembered to use the entire length of the roller, to keep uniform temperature over the
entire length of the machine.
Therefore, regardless of the size of the linen, introduce the same as shown in the figure.
