Initial Safety Instructions
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE TO ENSURE SAFETY, AS THEY
MAY NOT ALL BE OBVIOUS.
• Any use of this product in any manner
not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause injury to persons or damage
to the appliance.
• The use of accessories or attachments
for this unit are not recommended or
sold by the product manufacturer.
• This product has no user-serviceable
parts. Do not attempt to examine or re-
pair this product yourself. Only qualified
service personnel should perform any
servicing.
• Do not allow a child to use this ap-
pliance. Keep the appliance out of
childrens' reach at all times. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with this appliance.
• Keep any parts or packaging materi-
als away from children. These are a
potential source of suocation or other
danger.
• Always operate the appliance on a flat,
stable surface
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities that may lead to
improper use or injury from operating
the appliance.
• Discontinue any operation of the ap-
pliance if any of its parts malfunction
or if any components are damaged in
any manner. Take the appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair or adjustment.
• Do not use the appliance if it has been
submerged or placed under running
water.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of
a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place the appliance on or near a
hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
• If the power cord of this appliance is
damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced
by the manufacturer or authorized ser-
vice person
• Do not leave the product unattended
while in use. Unplug the product from
the electrical outlet when not in use.
• Only touch the appliance by the handle
while it is in use. Do not touch any hot
surfaces. Do not move the unit while it is
in operation.
• If there is smoke or a strong odor coming
from the unit, unplug it immediately and
contact Customer Service.
• When operating the Donut Maker, ensure
the power cord is kept away from any
heat source. This includes the surface of
the Donut Maker.
• Make sure the power cord is routed so
that it cannot be tripped over.
• Before first use, check the base unit
(including the power cord) and all parts
for any faults or defects.
• Never operate the appliance while it is
empty.
• Do not place anything but donut batter
in the appliance when cooking.
• To reduce risk of electric shock, the plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact an electri-
cian. Do not modify the plug.
• Keep the lid closed while cooking. Do
not open until cooking time has com-
pleted.
• Do not leave the appliance plugged in if
it is not in use! Do not plug in the appli-
ance until it is time to start the cooking
process.
WARNING: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical
known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other repro-
ductive harm.

Getting Started
Thank you for purchasing this quality Courant Donut Maker! This appliance is fun for
trying new recipe combinations. No assembly is required. This guide will cover the
steps used to prepare donuts with your donut maker. Please read all of these instruc-
tions before first use to safely get the most out of your new appliance.
Before using your donut maker for the first time:
1. Carefully unpack the appliance. Remove all labels and packaging materials.
Do not plug the appliance in yet.
2. Take special care when unpacking. Ensure there is no damage.
3. Clean the appliance (see the Care, Cleaning and Maintenance section later in this
guide). When the appliance is completely dry, place it on a dry, stable, level sur-
face. Ensure it is kept away from any surface edges.
During initial use, you may notice a slight odor due to the release of manufacturing
residues. This is normal and will disappear aer a few uses.

Operating the Donut Maker
Do not plug in the appliance until it is time to heat the unit and start the cook-
ing process. Do not leave it plugged in if it is not in use!
1. Before using your donut maker for the first time, open the unit by liing upward
on the handles. The top section will rest in a vertical position.
2. Clean the cooking surface thoroughly by wiping with a sponge or cloth dampened
with hot water. Dry the surface with a cloth or paper towel.
3. Plug the cord into an electrical outlet.
4. The red power indicator light will turn on. The donut maker will need to preheat
for 5 minutes before baking. Use this time to make the batter. When the unit has
reached the proper temperature and is ready, the green indicator light will turn
on.
CAUTION: THE OUTSIDE OF THE MACHINE GETS HOT DURING COOKING AND
PREHEATING.
5. Fill each donut hole with batter. See the next page for an example recipe. If the
batter is thick, use a heaping tablespoon. If the batter is thin or runny, use a level
tablespoon. Fill the donut holes without spilling batter onto the cooking surface
for a round, even donut.
6. Make sure the green indicator light is now on and close the lid.
Note: The hinge is designed to be somewhat loose. This allows the donuts to rise
and for steam to escape.
7. Let the donuts cook. Follow suggested baking times in the recipe used.
8. Remove the donuts with a heat-proof plastic spatula or tongs. Do not use sharp
objects or utensils.
When removing cooked donuts from the machine, BE CAREFUL AS THEY WILL
BE HOT.
9. When finished using the appliance, be sure to unplug it!
If additional donuts are to be cooked immediately aer, keep the donut maker
closed to retain heat. Always wait until the green ready light turns on before bak-
ing more donuts.

Sample Recipe
Basic cake donuts recipe
Here is a recipe for donuts with a cake-like texture with low fat and cholesterol!
Makes approximately seven donuts.
Ingredients
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
• 1 ½ tbsp. Wonderslim egg & shortening substitute.
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ cinnamon
• ½ cup second nature egg substitute.
• 1 ½ cup skim milk
* Can be substituted with two eggs well beaten (adds fat and cholesterol).
For Chocolate Flavored Donuts:
Add 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa and adjust sugar to taste.
Preparation
1. While the unit is preheating, mix all dry ingredients together.
2. Add and mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
3. Lightly oil the surface of the donut maker (optional).
4. Fill each donut hole with a heaping tablespoon of batter.
5. Close unit and lock into place.
6. Bake for 6-7 minutes or until donuts are browned.
7. Remove donuts from the donut maker and reheat with the remaining batter if
there is enough le to make more donuts.

Additional Operating Instructions and Tips
• When making batter, try not to exceed the amount required to make a full batch of
7 donuts. Prepare the amounts necessary, then make fresh batter for the second
batch. This is because the batter should be fresh and it can thin out from sitting
too long.
• Remove the donuts with a heat-proof plastic spatula or tongs. Do not use sharp
objects or utensils.
• Do not place anything but the donut batter ingredients in the appliance when
cooking.
• Keep the lid closed while cooking. Only open the lid when cooking is finished.
• The unit is designed for donuts to be eaten while hot and fresh. However, donuts
can also be baked ahead of time for snacks and lunches. Cool them on a rack for
10 minutes. Then, place them in a plastic bag and seal tightly.
• Donuts can also be frosted aer cooling. Frost with your favorite flavor and deco-
rate with sprinkles or colored sugar.
• Donuts can be reheated in the microwave. Place donuts on a paper towel and
microwave for a few seconds only. The cooking time or power settings on the mi-
crowave will vary, depending on whether donuts have been at room temperature
or if they are cold.
• The donut maker has a non-stick surface for even baking and easy clean–up. A
small amount of oil can be added to the unit for additional flavor, if desired.
Cooking spray is not recommended, as it may harm the non-stick surface.

Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance
There is no disassembly required to clean this unit.
1. Always switch off the appliance and unplug it before cleaning.
2. Do not clean the unit until it has fully cooled.
3. Clean the power/base unit with a damp, lint-free cloth but do not get it wet. Do
not use abrasive tools or harsh cleaning solutions.
4. Clean the cooking surface thoroughly by wiping with a sponge or cloth dampened
with hot water. When cleaning, do not run the water directly onto cooking surfac-
es. Dry the surface with a cloth or paper towel.
CAUTION: NEVER IMMERSE THE UNIT IN WATER. THIS APPLIANCE HAS ELECTRICAL
COMPONENTS AND SHOULD NEVER COME IN CONTACT WITH WATER

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (US)
Courant®warrants this product against defects in
material and workmanship to the original purchaser as
specified below provided that the product is registered
online within fourteen (14) days of purchase.
PARTS – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of six (6)
months from the date of the original purchase,
Courant® will repair or replace the product parts at
no charge (for parts) to consumers in the U.S.A. and
Canada.
LABOR – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of thirty (30)
Days from the date of the original purchase,
Courant® will repair or replace the product at no
charge to consumers in the U.S.A. and Canada.
After thirty (30) days, it will be the responsibility of
the consumer.
Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center
are the sole responsibility of the consumer.
To obtain warranty service by an authorized
Courant®service center, please email
us at: [email protected] to obtain a
Repair and Maintenance Authorization (RMA) number
and to locate the Warranty Service Center
nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail
the product to the authorized Courant®service
center in its original product packaging materials
or equivalent, to prevent damage while in transit.
Further, should Courant®determine that the
product is outside of the Warranty terms, Courant®
will return the product to sender at sender’s
expense without being repaired or replaced, unless
authorized by the consumer to service the out-of-
warranty product at consumer’s expense. All handling
or restocking charges for returns and/or
replacements shall be non-refundable.
Courant®specifically excludes from this warranty
any non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories,
and disposable parts including, but not limited to,
outside case, connecting cables, batteries, and AC
adaptors. Courant®reserves the right to repair
or replace defective products with the same,
equivalent, or newer models.
We reserve the right to either repair or replace
product at our discretion. Replacement may be either
new or refurbished and while every endeavor will be
made to ensure it is the same model, if same model is
not available, it will be replaced with a model of equal
or higher specification.
Normal “Wear and Tear” is not covered by this, or any
other, warranty. Further, Courant®hereby reserves
the right to determine “Wear and Tear” on any and
all products. Tampering or opening the product
casing or shell will void this warranty in its entirety.
In addition, this warranty does not apply if the
product has been damaged by accident, abuse,
misuse, or misapplication; has been altered or
modified without the written permission of
Courant®; has been serviced by a non-authorized
repair center of Courant®; has not been properly
maintained or operated according to the operation
manual; has been used for commercial, non-
household purposes; has been cosmetically
damaged; was not imported by Courant®; was not
manufactured according to specification of the
United States market; was damaged due to improper
installation or neglect by the consumer; was
damaged due to improper packaging in shipment to
the Warranty Service Center; was damaged due to
natural disasters; or if the serial number for the
product has been removed or defaced.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO SIX

¡Gracias por comprar esta Fábrica de Rosquillas Courant! Este electrodoméstico es
divertido para probar nuevas combinaciones de receta. No requiere de ningún armado.
Esta guía cubre los pasos a seguir para preparar rosquillas con su Fábrica de Rosquillas.
Por favor lea todas las instrucciones antes del primer uso para que de forma segura
obtenga el mejor uso de su electrodoméstico.
Antes de usar su fábrica de rosquillas la primera vez:
1. Desempaque cuidadosamente este electrodoméstico. Retire todas las etiquetas y
material de empaque. Aún no conecte el aparato.
2. Tenga cuidado especial cuando desempaque. Asegúrese de que no haya daños.
3. Limpie la unidad (ver la sección de Cuidados, Limpieza y Mantenimiento más
adelante en esta guía). Cuando la unidad esté completamente seca, colóquela
sobre una superficie seca, estable y nivelada. Asegúrese de que esté lejos de la
orilla de cualquier superficie.

Operando la Fábrica de Rosquillas
No conecte el electrodoméstico hasta que sea momento de calentar la unidad
y comenzar el proceso de cocción. ¡No lo deje conectado cuando no esté en
uso!
1. Antes de utilizar la fábrica de rosquillas por primera vez, abra la unidad levantán-
dola al jalar una de las agarraderas hacia arriba, la sección superior quedará en
una posición vertical.
2. Limpie completamente la superficie de cocción con una esponja o paño humede-
cido con agua caliente. Seque la superficie con una toalla de papel o paño seco.
3. Conecte el cable de suministro eléctrico en un tomacorriente apropiado.
4. La luz roja indicadora de encendido se prenderá. La fábrica de rosquillas necesi-
tará precalentarse durante 5 minutos antes de hornearlas. Utilice este tiempo
para hacer la mezcla de las rosquillas. Cuando la unidad haya alcanzado la tem-
peratura adecuada y esté lista, se encenderá la luz indicadora verde.
PRECAUCIÓN: LA PARTE EXTERIOR DE LA UNIDAD SE CALIENTA DURANTE LA
COCCIÓN Y EL PRECALENTADO.
5. Llene cada agujero de rosquilla con masa. Vea en la siguiente página un ejemplo
de receta. Si la mezcla de rosquillas es gruesa, use una cucharada colmada. Si la
mezcla es delgada o líquida, use una cucharada sopera al ras. Rellene los orificios
de las rosquillas sin derramar la masa sobre la superficie de cocción para obtener
una rosquilla redonda y uniforme.
6. Asegúrese de que la luz indicadora verde esté encendida y cierre la tapa.
Nota: La bisagra está diseñada para estar algo suelta. Esto permite que las rosqui-
llas se eleven y que el vapor se escape
7. Permita que las rosquillas se cocinen. Siga los tiempos de cocción sugeridos en la
receta usada.
8. Retire las rosquillas con una espátula o pinzas de plástico a prueba de altas tem-
peraturas. No utilice objetos o utensilios filosos.
Cuando retire las rosquillas cocidas del electrodoméstico, TENGA CUIDADO YA
QUE ESTARÁN CALIENTES.
9. Cuando termine de utilizar el electrodoméstico, ¡asegúrese de desconectarlo!
Si se van a cocinar rosquillas adicionales inmediatamente después, mantenga
la máquina de rosquillas cerrada para retener el calor. Siempre espere a que se
encienda la luz verde antes de cocinar más rosquillas.

Receta básica de rosquillas tipo pastel
Esta es una receta para rosquillas con textura similar a la de pastel bajas en grasa y
colesterol!
Sirve para hacer aproximadamente siete rosquillas.
Ingredientes
• 2 tasas de harina para todos los usos
• 1/3 de tasa de azúcar
• 1 ½ cucharadita de polvos de hornear
• 1 ½ cucharada de sustituto de huevo y manteca Wonderslim
• 1 cucharadita de sal
• ½ cucharadita de canela
• ½ taza de sustituto de huevo Second Nature
• 1 ½ taza de leche light
*Puede sustituirse con dos huevos bien batidos (agrega grasa y colesterol)
Para rosquillas sabor chocolate:
Agregue 2 cucharadas de cacao sin endulzar y ajuste el azúcar al gusto.
Preparación
1. Mientras la unidad se precaliente, mezcle todos los ingredientes secos juntos.
2. Agregue y mezcle los ingredientes húmedos con los secos. Mezcle hasta tener
una mezcla homogénea.
3. Engrase ligeramente la superficie de la fábrica de rosquillas (opcional).
4. Llene cada agujero de rosquilla con una cucharada colmada de mezcla de la
masa.
5. Cierre la unidad y asegúrela.
6. Cocine de 6 a 7 minutos hasta que las rosquillas se doren.
7. Retire las rosquillas de la fábrica de rosquillas y recaliente con la mezcla restan-
te si es que va más para hacer más rosquillas.

• Cuando prepare la mezcla trate de no exceder las cantidades requeridas para
hacer una receta de 7 rosquillas. Prepare las cantidades necesarias, y luego haga
una mezcla fresca para el segundo lote. Esto se debe a que la mezcla debe estar
fresca en cada ocasión, y si se deja reposar puede adelgazarse.
• Retire las rosquillas con una espátula o pinzas de plástico a prueba de altas tem-
peraturas. No utilice objetos o utensilios filosos.
• No coloque para cocinar nada en la fábrica de rosquillas salvo la mezcla para
hacer rosquillas.
• Mantenga la tapa cerrada al cocinar. Sólo abra la tapa cuando ha terminado la
cocción.
• La unidad está diseñada para rosquillas que se coman mientras están calientes y
frescas. Sin embargo, las rosquillas pueden prepararse anticipadamente para bo-
cadillos o almuerzo. Enfríelas en una rejilla por 10 minutos. Después, colóquelas
en una bolsa de plástico y séllela totalmente.
• Las rosquillas pueden glasearse después de enfriarlas. Póngales su glaseado
favorito y decore con chispas o azúcar de colores.
• Las rosquillas pueden recalentarse en el microondas. Coloque las rosquillas en
una toalla de papel y en el microondas por unos cuantos segundos. El tiempo de
recalentado y el ajuste de potencia en el microondas puede variar, dependiendo
de si las rosquillas han estado a temperatura ambiente o están frías.
• La fábrica de rosquillas tiene una superficie antiadherente para una fácil limpieza.
Si lo desea, se puede agregar una pequeña cantidad de aceite a la unidad para
sabor adicional. No se recomienda el aceite en aerosol, ya que puede dañar la
superficie antiadherente.

No se necesita desarmar nada para limpiar esta unidad.
1. Siempre apague y desconecte este electrodoméstico antes de limpiarlo.
2. No limpie la unidad hasta que se haya enfriado completamente.
3. Limpie la unidad por fuera con un paño húmedo y sin pelusas pero no mojado.
No use utensilios abrasivos o soluciones de limpieza fuertes.
4. Limpie completamente la superficie de cocción con una esponja o paño hume-
decido con agua caliente. Al limpiar, no deje correr el agua directamente sobre la
superficie de cocción. Seque la superficie con un paño o toalla de papel seco.

PONENTES ELÉCTRICOS Y NUNCA DEBE ENTRAR EN CONTACTO CON EL AGUA.
