Quick Start Guide for IMTDragonFly
Objective:
“This guide describes the steps to install and operate an IMTDragonFly Transmitter”
Connections and Power
•There are three major connections to be made on the DragonFly:
•The white Molex 8 pin cable is the power control cable. The black cylindrical wire next to it is the RF output cable.

•Use only lithium ion batteries at 7.4VDC –14VDC input to the power processor board.
•You may use 7.4VDC balanced lithium-ion batteries in parallel for a longer run time.
•Connecting the battery will automatically boot-up the transmitter.
•Once the DF is powered, a little green LED light comes up next to the power connector
•The fan also comes up when the DragonFly is powered ON
•Upon boot-up the DragonFly will be on the last state it was turned off on.
•Control is via Wi-Fi and Webpage

Operation and Control
•On your iPhone/Android phone, go to Settings Wi-Fi, and make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
•Under Wi-Fi list the DragonFly would be listed using a SSID. SSID will contain “DF” followed by the last 5 numbers of
the DragonFly serial number –i.e., DF01494. Note: Serial number is found on the back side of the Dragonfly chassis
•Now connect the phone/tablet/computer to the DragonFly Wi-Fi.
•Enter password –‘imtgonow!’
•Open browser (Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome) and enter the URL ‘192.168.1.1’ to get to the DragonFly
Webpage GUI.
•There are 4 pages on the GUI:
oHome –Turn DFT on and off –also tells frequency status
oSettings –Changes transmitter frequency, Modulation, code rate and guard interval. It also has some advanced
setting options
oFrequency Plan –Used to change the frequency plan.
oCamera control –Used to change the camera settings through the DragonFly webpage GUI
•Home Page
oTransmission Mode
▪High –Runs the Tx and camera at High power
▪Low--Runs the Tx and camera at Low power
▪Standby –Turns RF ‘Off’ – Status bar will be black when not transmitting and green when transmitting.
▪Hibernate—It takes 10 secs to switch from hibernate to High or Low
oDevice Status –RF, Frequency Status, Video format and Encryption
oSystem Information –Encoder, Controller, Temperature and battery
•Settings
oChange channels –Touch to view frequency drop down list.
▪Choose required frequency
▪Press ‘Apply’
oModulation
▪Choose 1 of 3 predetermined modulation modes (High Quality, Good Quality, Long range) depending on
needs.
▪Press ‘Apply’ - Setting will turn black when selected and turn green when applied.
▪Choose manual for other setting options.

oEncryption
▪Disable
▪Enable (Choose between Key 1 to Key 5 listed on the drop-down menu).
▪Press “Apply” to activate the selected setting
•Frequency Plans
oAdd or edit plan.
oEdit
▪Press edit (pencil symbol)
▪Type in the required frequency in MHz
▪Press ‘Save’
oAdd a frequency
▪Press ‘Add’
▪Press edit (pencil symbol)
▪Type in the required frequency in MHz
▪Press ‘Save’
•Camera Controls
oCamera Menu Navigation
oPress On to open the Camera control options page
oUse the toggle to maneuver through the list of options
oOnce completed, press “Off”
oNOTE: This Camera Control Navigation is currently available only when camera is connected between the DF and
the RS485 of the camera using a 6-pin Camera control cable (Part number; 922-B1253-01A-R)
