Tube 300R Quickstart Guide
Tube 300R Overview
Monitor remote locations with the Tube 300R and your AquaTROLL, Level TROLL,
or Rugged TROLL instrument. The Tube can send data to HydroVu, In-Situ’s
data-management software, or to your own FTP server.
Getting Started
Unpack the Tube.
Connect your In-Situ instrument to a communication device.

Remove the Tube from
its packaging and
unscrew the cap at the
top of the instrument.
Connect the antenna.
Plug one end of a
Rugged Twist-Lock Cable
into a Wireless TROLL
Com.
Connect the other end of
the cable to your In-Situ
instrument.
Thread the included
eyebolts onto the top of
the Tube.
Pull on the eyebolts to
open the Tube.
Plug the battery pack
into the board. Reinstall
the inner housing.

From device's Bluetooth
Settings screen, tap
serial number of Wireless
TROLL COM.
Tap mobile device's back
button and tap serial
number from list.
Press the Back button
again to view Connected
Instrument screen.
Select Instrument
Settings and then
choose Communication
Settings.
Tap the radio button
next to Connect to
Tube/Cube and press
Save.
Congure the Tube with the ANT Tool.

Connect to VuSitu.

Select Choose or Add a
Device.
Turn on the Wireless
TROLL Com and launch
VuSitu mobile app.
Select Add New Device
when connecting for the
rst time.
Locate the serial number
under the yellow lid on
the Wireless TROLL Com.
Attach the setup cable to
the top end of the Tube.
Disconnect the Wireless
TROLL Com and attach
the cable to the Tube.
Download the ANT Tool
software from www.in-
situ.com and install.
Connect the other end of
the setup cable to your
PC.

Open the ANT Tool and
select the correct COM
port from the dropdown
list.
Select the Probe and
set-point conguration
option.
Choose the
Communication 1 tab.
Enter your FTP
credentials, such as
server, username,
and password. Click
Write options and
parameters.
Click General
information,
parameters and
Options. Then click Set
Clock.
Under the
Connected
Probes tab, choose the
appropriate instruments
from the dropdown lists.
Click Write probes and
set-points.
If your instrument
doesn’t have an internal
battery, check Power
Supply to the Probes.
Close the window.

bClick Frequency of
Wake -up events.
Select the Frequency
of probe readings and
options tab.
Enter the frequency
of probe readings in
minutes.
Specify how often the
Tube saves the readings.
A value of 1 means every
reading.
Specify how often the
Tube transmits the
readings. A value of 1
means every reading.
Select the signicant
digits to be included in
the data.
Click Write frequency
and options. Close the
window.
Select Functional mode
and test.
Click the Test tab.

Click the Test ftp button
to send test data to your
FTP server.
Select the Probes, real
time reading tab.
Click the Immediate
reading probes button
to verify the instrument
is reporting properly.
Visit the Status tab.
Select a start time under
the ‘Switch-on’ day
dropdown menu.
Click Stop Device, and
then click Start Device.
