Getting started
Thank you for purchasing our product.
The purpose of CPR is to supply oxygen to the brain and heart of a casualty hose heart has stopped beating normally. Applying chest compressions correctly achieves this by causing blood
to flo , supplying oxygen to the brain and heart.
‘BRAYDEN’ is the first CPR training manikin in the orld hich has a blood circulation display – designed to help the student understand and remember the principles of CPR.

① Normal circulation in ication light
This illuminates to represent that blood is reaching the brain. When the depth and
speed of the compressions are correct, the light ill illuminate. The brightness of the
light varies according to the depth of the compressions.
② Bloo circulation in ication lights
These illuminate to represent the flo of blood from the heart to the brain. The speed
of the blood flo varies according to the depth and speed of the chest compressions.
③ Compression epth in ication lights
These illuminate to represent the volume of blood being circulated by the chest
compressions. This volume depends upon the depth of the compressions – deeper
compressions illuminate the lights for a longer time, shallo er compressions
illuminate the lights for shorter time.
④ Power switch
This turns the manikin on and ou.
⑤ Power status in icator lamp
When the manikin is s itched on, a green light indicates that it is operating normally,
a flashing red light indicates that the batteries are running lo .
⑥ AC a aptor connection
Connect the optional AC adapter here.
⑦ Clicker On/Ou switch
