Getting started
Thank you for purchasing our product.
The purpose of CPR is to supply oxygen to the brain and heart of a casualty hose heart has stopped beating normally. Applying chest compressions correctly achieves this by causing blood
to flo , supplying oxygen to the brain and heart.
‘BRAYDEN’ is the first CPR training manikin in the orld hich has a blood circulation display – designed to help the student understand and remember the principles of CPR.

Product name
① Normal circulation in ication light
This illuminates to represent that blood is reaching the brain. When the depth and
speed of the compressions are correct, the light ill illuminate. The brightness of the
light varies according to the depth of the compressions.
② Bloo circulation in ication lights
These illuminate to represent the flo of blood from the heart to the brain. The speed
of the blood flo varies according to the depth and speed of the chest compressions.
③ Compression epth in ication lights
These illuminate to represent the volume of blood being circulated by the chest
compressions. This volume depends upon the depth of the compressions – deeper
compressions illuminate the lights for a longer time, shallo er compressions
illuminate the lights for shorter time.
④ Power switch
This turns the manikin on and ou.
⑤ Power status in icator lamp
When the manikin is s itched on, a green light indicates that it is operating normally,
a flashing red light indicates that the batteries are running lo .
⑥ AC a aptor connection
Connect the optional AC adapter here.
⑦ Clicker On/Ou switch

How to use the manikin
▒ Chest compression

Turn on the manikin.

Ensure that the po er status indicator
lamp is illuminated green.
▒ Artificial respiration

Begin compressions. The ‘blood circulation’ and ‘compression
depth’ indication lights ill illuminate according to the depth
and speed of compressions.

When chest compressions ith excessive depth of compression
(over 6cm) are performed, all of the
‘compression depth’
indication lights ill illuminate. When chest compressions ith a
fast speed (over 120 times per minute) are performed, all of the
‘blood circulation’
indication lights ill illuminate.

When chest compressions ith a depth of
compression bet een 5cm and 6cm and a speed
bet een 100 times and 120 times per minute are
performed, the ‘normal circulation’ indication light
ill illuminate.

Open the face
shield.

Place the mouth part of
face shield on the mouth of
manikin.

Open the air ay.
 Hold the nose ith your
thumb and index finger, and
blo air through the mouth
for 1 second.

Visually check that the manikin
chest is rising.

When the manikin is turned on, the manikin al ays operates in <basic operation>, and
hen chest compressions ith a constant depth of compression over 3cm for 5 seconds
are performed, it ill s itch to <specialized operation>.

The ‘normal circulation’ indication light ill illuminate hen chest compressions ith
a depth of compression over 5cm and a speed bet een 100 times and 120 times per
minute in <basic operation> or chest compressions ith a depth of compression
bet een 5cm and 6cm and a speed bet een 100 times and 120 times per minute in
<specialized operation> are performed.

Turn the ‘clicker’ on and ou using the s itch as sho n. The clicker makes a “clicking“
sound hen the chest is compressed more than 5cm.
▒ Note

When the manikin is turned on, a one-time automatic calibration ill be carried out for approximately 2 seconds.
It is recommended that chest compressions on the manikin not be performed hen automatic calibration is being carried out.

If the chest compression is not detected for 2 seconds, the blood circulation indication lights, the compression depth indication lights and the normal circulation indication light ill
be turned ou and the manikin ill enter stand-by mode. When in stand-by mode, the po er status indicator lamp ill flash green.

When the user carries out chest compressions again hile the manikin is in stand-by mode, the chest compressions ill be detected automatically and the indicators ill operate
again. Ho ever, if left in stand-by mode for 30 minutes, the manikin ill s itch itself ou to conserve the batteries. To s itch the manikin on again, slide the po er s itch to the ‘ou’
position for more than 2 seconds and then s itch it on again.

While in stand-by mode, the po er consumption is very lo . Ho ever, e recommend that you s itch ou the manikin hen not in use.

If the battery is lo , the po er status indicator lamp ill flash red. At this time, replace the battery ith a ne one.

Replacement metho
Caution

Keep the used batteries out of reach of children and dispose of safely.

Do not use ne batteries and old batteries together. When replacing them, replace all 6
batteries together.

If you do not use the manikin for a long period of time, remove and store the batteries.

Quality assurance
The manikin is guaranteed against defects for 3 years from the date of purchase. This
guarantee covers the mechanical parts of the manikin only, the electronic components are
guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase. Consumable items are excluded from
this guarantee.
If making a claim, you must enclose a proof of purchase and details of here the manikin
as purchased. In the event that you are not able to supply a proof of purchase, or if it is
illegible, free after sales service may be restricted.
Also, in any of the follo ing cases, after-sales service may be restricted.
- Damage or defect of the manikin due to abnormal use, user's negligence or mistake
- Damage or defect of the manikin due to repair of the manikin at a place other than the
company, authorized sales agency or service center or replacement of component ith
other company's product hich is not provided by us

Damage or defect of the manikin due to it’s use or storage in unsuitable environments
such as in high temperature, high humidity, or here there is existence of chemical
compounds or microorganisms
- Damage or defect of the manikin due to natural disasters or acts of God such as fire,
earthquake, flood and lightning and other events that are beyond the scope of the
company's control
- When information such as the date of purchase, customers name, name of supplier and
manufacture's serial number has been modified intentionally

This marking on battery, manual or packaging indicates that the batteries in this
product should not be disposed of ith other household aste at the end of
their orking life. Where marked, the chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb indicate that
the battery contains mercury, cadmium or lead above the reference levels in EC
Directive 2006/66. If batteries are not properly disposed of, these substances can
cause harm to human health or the environment.
To protect natural resources and to promote material reuse, please separate
batteries from other types of aste and recycle them through your local, free
battery return system.

제품 명칭
① 정상순환 표시등
흉부압박 깊이와 속도가 적정할 경우 정상순환 표시등이 점등됩니다 . 이를
통해서 흉부압박 깊이와 속도가 잘 수행되고 있는지 쉽게 알 수 있습니다 .
또한 흉부압박의 깊이에 따라 밝기가 달라집니다.
② 혈액순환 표시등
흉부압박을 통해 심장으로부터 박출되는 혈액이 뇌까지 공급되는
혈액순환을 표시합니다. 혈류의 진행속도는 압박 깊이와 속도에 따라
변화합니다.
③ 압박깊이 표시등
흉부압박 깊이에 따라 혈액의 박출량을 표시합니다 . 압박 깊이가
깊을수록 길게 표시되며, 얕을수록 짧게 표시됩니다.
④ 전원 스위치
제품의 전원을 켜거나 끕니다.
⑤ 전원상태 표시등
전원 상태를 표시합니다 . 녹색으로 점등되었을 경우에는 제품이 정상적으로
동작하고 있음을 나타내며, 적색으로 점멸될 경우에는 배터리가 부족한
상태를 나타냅니다.
⑥ AC 어댑터 연결부
본 제품은 배터리가 아닌 AC 어댑터를 연결하여 제품을 사용할 수 있습니다.
⑦ 클릭커 On/Ou 스위치
클릭커 동작을 On 또는 Ou 할 수 있습니다.
⑧ 배터리 커버
배터리가 부족할 경우, 배터리 커버를 열고 배터리를 교체할 수 있습니다.

제품 전원을 켭니다.

전원상태 표시등에 불이 들어오는

확인하여 제품 상태를
점검합니다.

흉부압박을 시작합니다 . 혈액순환 및 압박깊이 표시등이

과압박 (6cm 이상 ) 을 하면 압박깊이 표시등이 , 빠른압박

▒ 동작 방법 변경 ▒ 클릭커 설정 변경
< 기본 동작 > < 전문 동작 > < ON > < OFF >

전원을 켜면 제품은 항상 <기본 동작>으로 동작하며, 흉부를 3cm 이상 동일한
깊이로
5초간 누르면 <전문 동작>으로 변경됩니다.

< 기본 동작 > 에서는 흉부를 5cm 이상 깊이와 분당 100~120 회 속도로 , < 전문
동작 > 에서는
흉부를 5~6cm 깊이와 분당 100~120 회 속도로 압박하면 정상순환
표시등이 점등됩니다 .

그림과 같은 방법으로 제품의 클릭커 동작을 On/Ou 할 수 있습니다.
클릭커의 상태가 On 일 경우에 흉부를 5 ㎝ 이상 적정 깊이를 누르면

▒ 참고

제품은 전원을 켜는 순간 1회에 한하여 약 2초간 자동 교정을 실시합니다.
자동 교정 시에는 제품 흉부를 압박하지 말 것을 권장합니다.

제품은 2초간 흉부 압박에 대한 감지가 없을 경우, 혈액순환 및 압박깊이, 정상순환 표시등을 모두 끄고 대기 상태 모드로 진입합니다.
대기 상태 모드일 경우, 전원 상태 표시등이 녹색으로 점멸됩니다.

제품이 대기 상태 모드에서 사용자가 다시 흉부 압박을 실시하면 자동으로 흉부 압박을 감지하여 다시
동작하게 됩니다 .
단, 대기 상태 모드에서 30분간 아무런 감지가 없다면 배터리 소모를 줄이기 위하여
제품 동작이 정지됩니다. 다시 사용하고자 할 때에는 제품의 전원을 2초 이상 껐다가 다시 켜시길
바랍니다.

대기 상태 모드일 경우에는 제품의 전력 소모가 매우 적게 소모되지만, 제품을 사용하지 않을 경우에는 전원을 꺼 주시기 바랍니다.

배터리 잔량이 부족할 경우, 전원상태 표시등이 붉은 색으로 점멸합니다. 이때 새로운 배터리로 교체하시길 바랍니다.


사용한 건전지는 어린아이의 손에 닿지 않는 장소에 보관하고 분리수거를 하십시오.

건전지는 새것과 헌것을 함께 사용하지 마십시오. 교환 시에는 6개를 함께
교환하십시오.

마네킹을 장시간 사용하지 않을 경우 건전지를 빼서 보관하십시오.
