Built‐inHDshāk®technologyprovidesdynamicHDMI,
EDID/DDCandHDCPmodeselection,guaranteeing
performanceandimagequality.Plus,onboardHDMI
amplificationandbufferingallowsmultipleextenderstobe
daisy‐chainedforgreaterdistances.

TheDIGI‐HD‐UHR2featureselectrostaticdischarge(ESD)
protectioncircuitrywhichsafegaurdstheHDMIcircuitagainst
staticelectricityandotherdestructivestrayvoltage.


Instructions
1. Turnoffpoweranddisconnectthe
audio/videoequipmentbyfollowingthe
manufacturer’sinstructions.
2. Makecertainthatoutletsandcrossconnects
towhichyouwillconnecttheDIGI‐HD‐UHR2
areconfiguredproperlyandlabeledcorrectly
toidentifythepoint‐to‐pointcircuit.
3. Verifythedesiredtwistedpairsarenotbeing
usedforotherLANortelephonyequipment.
4. Verifythatthesourceanddestination
equipmentworkwhendirectlyconnected
withHDMIcables.BesuretotestbothHDMI
cablesrequiredforsysteminstallation.
5. ConnecttheDIGI‐HD‐UHR2transmittertothe
HDMIoutputofthevideosource.Donot
connectthe5Vpowersupply.
6. ConnecttheDIGI‐HD‐UHR2receivertothe
HDMIinputofthereceivingdeviceatthe
remoteend.Donotconnectthe5Vpower
supply.
7. Completetheconnectionbetweenthe
transmitandreceiveextendersusingtwo
runsoftwistedpaircable.Ensurethecable
conformstoEIA568Bcrimpstandardsand
therearenosplitpairsortaps.
8. Connectthe5VpowersupplytotheDIGI‐HD‐
UHR2receiver.
9. Connectthe5VpowersupplytotheDIGI‐HD‐
UHR2transmitter.Power‐onthevideo
equipment.
10. Verifypicturequality.
11. Ifnecessary,adjusttheDIPswitchesonthe
transmitandreceiveextenderstoselect
modesofoperation.
12. Ifnecessary,copytheEDIDinformationfrom
yourdeviceforimprovedperformance.
Caution: To minimize the possibility of equipment damage
from electrostatic discharge (ESD), all source and destination
equipment must be powered off during installation.
Caution: Do not connect the extender to a
telecommunication outlet wired to unrelated equipment.
Doing so may damage the unit or any connected equipment.

1. Disconnectthetransmitterfromthesourcedevices.
2. Disconnectthereceiverfromthedestinationdevice.
3. Connectthetransmittertothedestinationdeviceviaan
HDMIcable.
4. Connectthe5VDCpowersupplytothetransmitter.
5. PresstheHandShakebutton.TheStatusLEDwillflash
andremainsolid.TheEDIDsignalshavebeencopiedand
stored.
6. Disconnectthetransmitterandrepeatnormal
installationprocedures.
