As a manufacturer f wheelchairs, Invacare endeav rs t supply a wide variety f
wheelchairs t meet many needs f the end user. H wever, final selecti n f the
type f wheelchair t be used by an individual rests s lely with the user and his/her
healthcare pr fessi nal capable f making such a selecti n.
WHEELCHAIR TIE-DOWN RESTRAINTS AND SEAT RESTRAINTS
Wheelchair users sh uld NOT be transp rted in vehicles f any kind while in
wheelchairs. As f this date, the Department f Transp rtati n has n t appr ved
any tie-d wn systems f r transp rtati n f a user while in a wheelchair, in a m ving
vehicle f any type.
It is Invacare’s p siti n that users f wheelchairs sh uld be transferred int
appr priate seating in vehicles f r transp rtati n and use be made f the restraints
made available by the aut industry. Invacare cann t and d es n t rec mmend any
wheelchair transp rtati n systems.
 WARNING
The drive behavi r initially experienced by the user may be different fr m ther
chairs previ usly used. This P wer Wheelchair has Invacare’s SureStep techn l gy,
a feature that pr vides the chair with ptimum tracti n and stability when driving
f rward ver transiti ns and thresh lds f up t 3-inches. The f ll wing warnings
apply specifically t the SureStep Feature.
• D n t use n inclines greater than 9°.
• D n t use n inclines with wet, slippery, icy r ily surfaces. This may include
certain painted r therwise treated w d surfaces.
• D n t traverse d wn ramps at high speed. D ing s will reduce tracti n and
increase st pping distance.
• The end user’s weight can materially affect tracti n n sl ped surfaces. Great
care sh uld be taken when traversing such sl pes.
T determine and establish y ur particular safety limits, practice use f this pr duct
n vari us sl ping surfaces in the presence f a qualified healthcare pr vider
BEFORE attempting active use f this wheelchair. Other general warnings listed
within this d cument als apply.

 WARNING
The seat p siti ning strap is a p siti ning belt ONLY. It is n t designed f r use as a
safety device withstanding high stress l ads such as aut r aircraft safety belts. If
signs f wear appear, belt MUST be replaced immediately.
Invacare pr ducts are specifically designed and manufactured f r use in c njuncti n
with Invacare access ries. Access ries designed by ther manufacturers have n t
been tested by Invacare and are n t rec mmended f r use with Invacare pr ducts.
POWERED SEATING SYSTEMS ONLY - This seating system has been cust m
designed and will be assembled t the wheelchair base bef re delivery t the user.
The inf rmati n c ntained in this manual is f r maintaining and adjusting the seat-
ing system. There are very few adjustments that can safely be made by the user. If
there is a pr cedure r adjustment that needs t be perf rmed n the seating sys-
tem that is n t in this manual, d n t perf rm that pr cedure. Have the seating
system serviced by a qualified technician.
