Introduction
Thank you for purchasing ISOtunes® Sport DEFY
Slim hearing protector. This hearing protector is
designed to reduce exposure to harmful levels
of noise. To get the best comfort, t and function
from this product, read this manual carefully
before operating this unit. Save this Manual for
future reference. For details on noise reduction,
refer to the attenuation table.
It is recommended that the user should
ensure that:
• the earmus are tted, adjusted and
maintained in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions
• the earmus are worn at all time in
noisy surroundings
• the earmu are regularly inspected
for serviceability
If these are not adhered to, the protection
aorded by the earmus will be severely
impaired.
This product is not recommend for kids under 5
years old to use it alone. If so, it must be under the
parent’s supervision.
Product
The ISOtunes® Sport DEFY Slim is a passive
earmus designed for protecting hearing in noisy
environments.
Fitting
1. Pull the earcups apart (Fig. 1)
2. Check for R and L indicators (Fig. 1)
3. Place the product on your head with the
corresponding R and L sides (Fig. 2)
4. Adjust the earcup position by extending
the headband to ensure a good t around
the ears
Noise Attenuation
This product has been tested to the European
Safety Standard EN352-1:2020 and the ANSI
S3.19-1974 standard for a hearing protector, with
a Single Number Rating (SNR) of 28 dB and a Noise
Reduction Rating (NRR) of 23 dB.
ANSI S3.19-1974
The level of noise entering a person’s ear, when
ISOtunes® Sport DEFY Slim Basic headphones are
worn as directed, is closely approximated by the
dierence between the A-weighted environmental
noise level and the Noise Reduction Rating
(NRR). Improper t of this device will reduce its
eectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult the
enclosed instructions for proper tting.

Example:
1. The surrounding noise level measured
at the ear is 100 dB.
2. The NRR of ISOtunes® Sport Passive
Slim model is 23 dB.

Please note that the NRR is based on the
attenuation of continuous noise and may not be
an accurate indicator of the protection attainable
against impulsive noise, such as gunre.

Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage
Clean your ISOtunes Sport DEFY Slim Basic by
gently wiping them with a clean, damp cloth with
mild soap.

Do not immerse the hearing protector in water.
Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the
hearing protector.
Store the hearing protector in a clean dry place
without stretching or bending the headband.
The product may be adversely aected by certain
chemical substances. Refer to the manufacturer

Ajuste

Ajustement

Det anbefales at brukeren sørger for at:
• øreklokkene er montert, justert
og vedlikeholdt i samsvar med
produsentens instruksjoner.
• øreklokkene brukes til enhver tid
i støyende omgivelser.
• øreklokkene regelmessig inspiseres for
funksjonalitet.
• Hvis disse anbefalingene ikke følges, vil
beskyttelsen som øreklokkene gir, bli alvorlig
svekket.
Det anbefales ikke at barn under 5 år bruker dem
alene. Hvis de gjør det, må det være under tilsyn
av en forelder.

Tilpasning
1. Trekk ørekoppene fra hverandre (Fig. 1)
2. Sjekk for R- og L-indikatorer (Fig. 1)
3. Plasser produktet på hodet med de
tilsvarende R- og L-sidene (Fig. 2)
4. Juster ørekoppens posisjon ved å forlenge
båndet for å sikre en god passform rundt
ørene.
Ruisonderdrukking
ISOtunes® DEFY Slim is getest en goedgekeurd in
overeenstemming met ANSI
S3.19-1974 specicaties en de Europese
veiligheidsnorm EN 352-1:2020. Med en Single
Number Rating (SNR) på 28 dB og en Noise
Reduction Rating (NRR) på 23 dB.

Nivået av støy som kommer inn i en persons
øre når ISOtunes® Sport DEFY Slim Basic-
hodetelefoner brukes som anvist, tilnærmes tett
av forskjellen mellom A-veid omgivelsesstøynivå
og støydempingsvurdering (NRR). Feil passform
av dette apparatet vil redusere eektiviteten med
å redusere støy. Se vedlagte instruksjoner for
riktig tilpasning.

• Det omkringliggende støynivået målt
ved øret er 100 dB.

Vær oppmerksom på at NRR er basert på
demping av kontinuerlig støy og kan ikke være en
nøyaktig indikator på beskyttelse mot impulsstøy,
som skyting.
