2.4 Information, alerts and Self-Protection
The iWatBoard uses a system of information and alerts to communicate with
the user. The pad sensors, the gyroscopes and the battery are constantly
sending data to the processor, which detects errors and unpermitted
operations and informs the user of the unit condition. It’s also capable of
protecting itself and the user by disconnecting itself when in a dangerous
situation.
When the system cannot self-balance, it will emit an alarm that will sound
during the following situations:
• When the sensor pad is inclined more than 35º.
• When sudden accelerations or other abrupt actions are detected, an alarm
will sound due to dangerous riding.
The system will go into Self-Protection mode, will brightly flash its lights
and will disconnect itself when:
• The rim or tyre becomes blocked for 2 seconds.
• If the batteries charge is below the protection level, flashing lights will
indicate that the battery is emptying and the unit will shut itself o within 15
seconds.
While the iWatBoard is recharging, an alarm will sound to inform you of
the following possible situations:
• When excessive charging is detected: when the iWatBoard is fully charged,
it is recommended that it be unplugged from the charger. The system will
alert you when it should be disconnected.
• When it detects an over-current while charging: if this were to occur,
immediately disconnect the iWatBoard from the power. If the problem persists
each time you try to charge the device, contact us so that we can inspect the
iWatBoards charger.

means that you must immediately stop the vehicle. Insisting on continuing
can damage the battery and its working life will be reduced.
Do not use the battery in the following situations:
• If you detect any strange smells coming from the battery or if you feel an
