When installing, ope ating and maintaining you
Jøtul OSLO F500 woodstove, follow the guidelines
p esented in these inst uctions, and make them
available to anyone using o se vicing the stove.

National Fi e P otection Associations Code, NFPA
211, Standards for Chimneys, Fireplaces, Vents
and Solid Fuel Burning Appliances, o simila

In Canada, the guideline is established by the CSA
Standa d, CAN/CSA-B365-M93, Installation
Code for Solid-Fuel-Burning Appliances and
Equipment. Always consult you local building

·Jøtul ecommends that you have you new Jøtul
OSLO F500 installed by a p ofessional installe
of solid fuel bu ning appliances.
·EXTREMELY HOT WHILE IN OPERATION!
KEEP CHILDREN, CLOTHING AND
FURNITURE AWAY. CONTACT MAY
CAUSE SKIN BURNS.
·Avoid c eating a low p essu e condition in the
oom whe e the stove is ope ating. Ope ating an
exhaust fan o a clothes d ye could c eate a low
p essu e a ea, causing poisonous gases to come
out of the stove into the oom.
You can p event low p essu e conditions by
p oviding adequate combustion ai within 24 but
not close than 12 f om the stove. O , simply
install the optional outside ai manifold system,
which allows the di ect connection of ai f om
outside the house to the stove.
·Do not use chemicals o fluids to sta t the fi e.
Some fuels will, du ing combustion, sepa ate
ca bon monoxide and gene ate it in the bu n
chambe . Ca bon monoxide is toxic, so please
follow the guidelines in this manual fo p ope
ope ation of you Jøtul OSLO F500.
