CongratulationsonyournewJamoKP4.6keypad.
Themanydifferentoptionsandfeaturesofyour
newkeypadwillbeasourceofpleasureforyoufor
manyyearstocome.
TheKP4.6can beusedwithanyA-BUS*equipment
ortheJamo AVD4.6system whichisadistributed,
multi-room home entertainmentsystem capableof
deliveringhighqualityaudioandvideo** tomulti-
pleroomsandlocationsinyourhome.
Afterit isinstalled, youhaveaccesstoall yourcen-
trallylocatedaudioandvideoequipmentthrough
stylishwall-mountedcontrolpanelsorremotecon-
trolsfromeachlocationwithacontrolpanelin-
stalled. Soundisdeliveredtoin-wall orceiling
speakers(orconventionalspeakersifpreferred)
andvideoisdeliveredtotelevisionsormonitors.

moved toprovide ventilation.
Donot install theKP4.6inadoublegangboxthatalsohaselec-
tricalinstallationinit.Ifinstalled nexttoelectricalinstallation
eitherabarrier-boxortwosinglegangboxes must beused.
Donotinstall theKP4.6whereitcanbeexposed todirectsun
lightorstrongfluorescenttubesasbothcaninterferewithIR
remotecontrols.
Donotinstall theKP4.6closetoaplasmaTVasthey canalso
interferewithIRremotecontrols.Adistanceof15 feetissafe
withmost plasmaTV’s.
Donotinstall theKP4.6closetodimmerswitchesasthey gener-
atenoise.
Donot install theKP4.6 inareaswithhighhumidityoroutdoors.
Donotinstall theKP4.6withinlineofsighttoanotherKP4.6.
Thiscouldmakeitdifficulttocontroleachzoneseparatelywith
aremotecontrol.
Donotinstall theKP4.6withinlineofsight tothesourceequip-
ment.Thiscouldinterferewiththeoperationofthesource
equipmentifreceivingIRcommandsdirectlyandthroughthe
KP4.6.
TheKP4.6operateson24VDCsupplied throughtheCAT5e
cableandcanthereforeoftenbeinstalled inlocationsonlyper-
mitted forExtraLowVoltage(ELV)equipment.Ifindoubt,check
thewiringregulationforyourapplicationinyourarea.

TheKP4.6connectstoanA-BUSoutputwithaCat5eca-
ble.Standard speakerwires connectstheKP4.6toapair
ofspeakers.Speakersfrom4to8ohmwithasensitivity
ofmin.88dBshouldbeused.All Jamospeakersmatch
these specifications.

Volumeadjustment
TheLEDblinksorangewhenadjustingvolumeupand
down.Whenreachingfull volumetheLEDblinksred.
Whenreachingminimumvolume(Mute)theLEDblinks
green.
Soundadjustments
To enterSoundAdjustmentspushandholdSound(4
sec.)toreachthedesiredfunction.TheLEDblinksred
once forBass,twice forTreble,three times forBalance
andfourtimes forFader.Ifstill helditwill returntoBass
andcyclethroughagain.Starttoadjustthedesiredfunc-
tionwithin2sec.orthesystemgoesbacktovolumead-
justment(LEDgreen).
WhenadjustingBass,Treble,Balance andFadertheLED
blinksorange.Theledblinksredwhenreachingthetop
orbottomendandblinksgreenatthemidpoint(noad-
justmenttosound).
Ifnoadjustmentismadethesystemwill automatically
gobacktovolume adjustment(LEDgreen)after2sec.
