TheLKP4.6isasophisticatedlearningkeypad
whichaddsconvenientwallmountedsourcecon-
trol totheJamoAVD4.6multi-roomA-BUSsystem.
TheLKP4.6isconnectedandinstallednexttothe
KP4.6amplifiedkeypad. ThesourceequipmentsIR
codesarelearnedfrom theindividualsource
equipmentsremotecontrolsintotheJamo LRC4.6
learnableremotecontrol.Sourceandbutton
namesaswellasmacrosarealsoprogrammedin
theLRC4.6remote.All dataarethenclonedinto
eachLKP4.6keypad.
Inadditiontosourcecontrolfunctions, theLKP4.6
keypadincorporatesClock,AlarmandSleeptimer
functionsandprovidesan LCDscreenthatdisplays
time,date,sourceandotheruseful information.

LKP4.6/KP4.6.Thiscouldmakeitdifficulttocontroleachzone
separatelywitharemotecontrol.
Donot install theLKP4.6/KP4.6withinlineofsighttothesource
equipment.This couldinterferewiththeoperationofthesource
equipmentifreceivingIRcommandsdirectlyandthroughthe
KP4.6.
TheLKP4.6/KP4.6operateson24VDCsupplied throughthe
CAT5 cableandcanthereforeoftenbeinstalled inlocations only
permitted forExtraLowVoltage(ELV)equipment.Ifindoubt,
checkthewiringregulationforyourapplicationinyourarea.

namedforaDVDplayer(max.8characters fornames).
Note: Thefunctionsofbuttons1-8only operates after

•Namethe sources andbuttons inthe LRC4.6.
•Setthetime anddate intheLRC4.6.
TheusermanualfortheLRC4.6gives full detailsonhow
toteachitIRcodes andhowtosetupmacrosaswell as
namingsources andbuttons.

•ClonethedatafromLRC4.6
remoteintoLKP4.6keypads
(page 11-12).
TheLKP4.6keypaddoes notlearn
IRcodes directly.
Thehighlightedbuttons(pictured

Step3.
PuttheLKP4.6intoLearn
mode.
Press andholdtheSETbutton.Release whenLEARN?is
displayedonthescreen.READYwill bedisplayedonthe
screen(see page 18).
Step4.
Putthe LRC4.6intoclonemode.
OnthebackoftheLRC4.6press theEDITbutton4times
(usingapapercliporsimilar). REC/TRXwillappearinthe
remote display.

Press the buttononthe remoteuntil TRXis flashing.

Startcloning.
Press ENTERonthe remote.Displayshows SENDING.

Confirmthe LKP4.6is receiving.
RXINGwillbe displayedtoindicate itis receivingdata.
Afterapproximately 7minutesthekeypadshouldshow
COMPLETEforafewsecondsandreturntonormalop-
eration.Ifthecloningfailsthekeypadwill showERROR
orTIMEOUT. Waituntil theremoteisdonesendingdata
beforerepeatingtheprocess.Makesurecloningcableis
firmlyinserted.Thecloningmustbesuccessfulforthe
keypadtoexitLEARNmode.YoucannotexitLEARN
modemanually.

ThesecondaryfunctionSETonkey9isenteredbypress-
ingandholdingitforfivesecondsandwill activatethe
settingsmenu.Itwill continue scrollingthroughthefive
optionsuntilthebuttonisreleased.See pages14-18 for
instructions foreachfunction.
Afterthesetupandcloningyoucannowoperatethe
source equipmentwiththeLKP4.6aswell asperform
various timerfunctions.
TheLKP4.6willalwaysbeinprimaryfunctionsunless
changedbytheuser.Press theSHIFTbuttonbriefly to
switchbetweenprimaryandsecondaryfunctions ofkeys
1-8.Thedisplaywill indicateSHIFTONorSHFTOFF.Ifno
buttonsarepressedfor30 secondsintheSHIFTON
modetheLKP4.6will automaticallyreturntoSHFTOFF
mode(primaryfunctions).

3.ClonetheLRC4.6tothe LKP4.6withoutenteringLEARN?
4.WhenLRC4.6is doneSENDING,repeatpoint1above.
