Installation and Instructions
1. Remove the windshield and outer fairing shell.
2. Mount the J&M FPA-HJCB antenna module inside the right side
of the inner fairing using the two-sided tape already affixed to the
module. (See Diagram)
3. Route the antenna lead-wire upward in the fairing between the
radio and the instrument gauges. (See Diagram)
4. Connect the FPA-HJCB antenna cable to the matching
connector from the J&M CB radio. Note: If you wish to use a rear
antenna assembly you may simply connect it into the additional
female connector from the J&M FPA-HJCB unit. (See Diagram)
5. Attach the ground strap terminal to the lower right-hand fairing
mount stud. (See Diagram)
6. Replace the outer fairing and windshield.
Important Note: This J&M In-fairing CB antenna is pretuned from
our factory for the 27mhz CB radio band. No further tuning is
required during installation. It is normal however for an SWR
meter to indicate less than ideal SWR, as the antenna is strung
inside the fairing in close proximity to speakers, gauges, etc.
