HPT404BT WITH GSM
CONFIGURATION EXAMPLE
1. Ensure the SIM-card is installed in HPT404BT with GSM.
2. Connect the modem to PC, power it.
3. Start ModemVU, select HPT402/ 404BT / 404BT GSM and click Ok.
4. Select the COM port the modem is connected to and click Connect.
5. In the GSM tab enter the parameters for PIN code, User name, Password, and APN.

6. Set the Mode to
ON
and click Apply.
The progress bar appear. Wait the process will be complete.
7. After the modem has been successfully registered in the GSM network, in the RSSI field the signal
level appears. Use Refresh button, to refresh this parameter.

8. Open the RTN tab. Select the type of connection in the Type drop-down list box and enter addi-
tional parameters. Select
Connect
for Mode and click Apply.
9. The progress bar appear. Wait the process will be complete.
10. Connection status and errors will be displayed in the State and Error fields. Use Refresh button, to
refresh these parameters.

11. In the Interface tab select
Route
and click Apply.
12. To switch off this mode, follow the steps:
•IntheRTN tab the Mode switch to
Disconnect
and click Apply;
•IntheGSM tab set the Mode to
OFF
and click Apply.
