Important Safety Information
Read this manual and safety information before using this vehicle fire blanket. Make sure everyone who may use this
vehicle fire blanket is completely familiar with its operation. We highly recommend you practice using this vehicle
fire blanket and following these instructions anytime you perform safety training. In an emergency, you will not have
time to read instructions.
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
will result in death or serious injury.
This vehicle fire blanket is intended to prevent the spread of fire and/or toxic smoke from a
vehicle to surrounding areas.
It is NOT designed to extinguish a fire or fight large fires burning out of control. When an electric
vehicle is on fire, battery acid reacts generating oxygen particles. Although this blanket is used
to suffocate the fire, the battery will generate enough combustion gases to avoid the fire to
extinguish completely.
Avoid breathing smoke and heated fumes. Burning materials will release toxic fumes. Inhaling
these fumes may cause injury or death.
Always stand back away from the fire and near an escape route.
DO NOT try to deploy this vehicle fire blanket/fight a fire by yourself.
Use extreme caution and good judgment. If you believe the fire is too large or unpredictable to
control with the vehicle fire blanket, call 911 and/or the fire department immediately and
wait for assistance. Do NOT attempt to control the fire yourself.
GETTING STARTED
Before assembly, ensure you have all parts according to the contents list. If any parts are missing
or damaged, contact JohnDow Industries for replacement.

STORAGE
Before storing, read and follow all safety instructions on page 2 of this user's manual.
This Vehicle Fire Blanket with rack is designed to mount on a pole or wall for easy access
during a vehicle fire emergency. Do not block or store anything in front of or on the Vehicle
Fire Blanket and/or rack. We recommend inspecting the Vehicle Fire Blanket and rack at the
same time you regularly inspect your fire extinguishers.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before use, read and follow all safety instructions on page 2 of this user's
manual.
ALWAYS call 911 and/or fire department first. Instruct individuals to
evacuate the area immediately.
In front of the vehicle, place the blanket on the ground and unroll it. Once
the blanket is unrolled, the black handles should be on one side and the
red ones on the other.
Using two people, hold the blanket by the handles, tighten the tension and
slide it over the vehicle (starting at the front of the vehicle) until the vehicle
is completely covered. Make sure to shield yourself from any potential
flames as you approach the vehicle, especially your hands and face.
NOTE: Do not throw the blanket over the vehicle as it will likely not deploy
correctly and will be ineffective in suppressing the fire.
With your feet, tuck the blanket under the vehicle until it is completely
contained under the blanket. It is important that air cannot escape under
the vehicle.
Move away from the vehicle to a safe distance. DO NOT REMOVE THE
BLANKET. Only the Fire Department should determine when it is safe to
remove. If the fire reignites, pull the blanket back over the vehicle.
