HOW THE MACHINE WORKS
CLEANING METHOD
The soap and water combination is sprayed on the floor in front of the brushes. The brushes polish and
dislodge the dirt. The waste water is then collected by the squeegee. The vacuum cleaner is then triggered
for easy and quick drying. This is how the JVC50BCN works.
CLEANING BRUSH
It is essential to use brushes that are compatible with the unit to ensure better performance.
Specifications of recommended brush for JVC50BCN are given as follows:
Product number sold at Johnny Vac:
JVC50BR - 20" spare brush.
JVCPD - Pad holder.
Polishing pad (white) - this pad is for maintenance of highly smooth or polished surfaces.
Buffing pad (red) - this pad is for scrubbing fouling without doing damage to the surfaces.
Scouring pad (blue) - this pad is for scrubbing medium and heavy fouling, capable of wiping the fouling,
stain and scratches to make the surface cleaning enough for recoating.
Stripping pad (brown) - this pad is for cutting through old and heavy finishes to prepare the floor for
recoating.
Heavy duty stripping pad (black) - this pad is for striping floors by cutting through old heavy finishes
to prepare the surfaces for recoating. Can also be used for heavy-duty cleaning.

INSTALL THE BATTERY
MACHINE INSTALLATION
FOR SAFETY: Wear safety gloves and eye protective devices before working on the batteries or battery
connection.
Suggested specifications of batteries :
Two sets of 12V, 100Ah Chil-Wee maintenance-free batteries.
Maximum size of battery: 176 mm x 332mm x 214mm (width x length x height).
1. Stabilize the unit on a level surface. Turn off the power switch and remove the ignition key.
2. Lift the recovery tank cover to access the battery compartment, as shown in the image below (Figure 1).
3. Carefully place the batteries in their slots.
4. Connect the battery cables as shown in Figure 2 below: the red cable to the positive (+) anode and the
black cable to the negative (-) cathode.
Figure 2
Figure 1

SQUEEGEE INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION:
1. Stop the machine on a level surface, turn off all the power switches and remove the key.
2. Pull the squeegee lifting rod upwards (Figure 3).
3. Fix the squeegee assembly to squeegee installation bracket following the image above (Figure 4).
Place the fastening knob into the socket completely before tightening.
4. Connect vacuum hose to the squeegee assembly as shown above (Figure 5).
5. Check squeegee blade and make proper adjustment if necessary (please refer to "Squeegee Blade
Adjustment" in page 30).

INSTALLATION AND SETTING OF THE BRUSH :
1. Stop the machine on a level surface, turn off all the power switches and remove the key.
2. Lower the cleaning head pedal so that the brush protection hood rises slightly (see Figure 6).
3. Place the brush in front of the machine and center it with the guard (Figure 7). Lower the pedal again so
that the guard falls down on the brush. If the brush is properly centered, a slight pressure from the control
lever (Figure 8) should be sufficient to engage it. Otherwise, all you have to do is do it manually, making
sure that the two parts coincide and do a slight rotation until they snap properly.
NOTE : To remove the brush or pads, do the opposite as above or do it manually.

FILL THE SOLUTION TANK
Use the water injection hole in the front of the machine to fill the solution into the solution tank (Figure 9).
Scrubbing method: Use cold or lukewarm water and a dose of soap according to the detergent manufac-
turer's instructions.
NOTE: When filing the solution tank with a bucket, make sure that it is clean. Do not use the same bucket
for filling and draining he machine.
ATTENTION: For conventional scrubbing, only use recommended cleaning detergents. Machine damage
due to improper detergent usage (such as washing powder) will void the manufacturer's warranty.
WARNING: Do not use inflammable liquids in case of fire or explosion.
FOR SAFETY: Follow the mixing and handling instructions on chemical containers.
