HOW THE MACHINE WORKS
USAGE
JVC70RIDERN is a ride-on industrial/commer-
cial machine used to scrub rough and smooth
hard surfaces such as concrete, ceramic tile
floor, stone, synthetic materials, etc. Typically
this machine is designed solely for cleaning
smooth flooring in an indoor environment like
schools, hospitals/health care facilities, office
buildings, and marketplace. It is not allowed to
use it on earth surface, grassland, artificial turf,
or carpeted areas, neither can it be used for
road cleaning. Any operation other than those
stated in the operator manual is not recom-
mended.
SCRUBBING METHOD
Water and detergent in solution tank flow to the brush and ground via the magnetic valve. The
solution of water and detergent is used to scrub the ground by brush head rotation. The squeegee
will take up the waste water into solution tank with vacuum motor while the machine is operating.
CLEANING BRUSHES AND PADS
The solution tank, brush, pad holder and/or pad, squeegee, vacuum motor, recovery tank and drive
motor must be cleaned.
Brushing function is controlled by the buttons on the control panel. Turn on brush motor switch and
squeegee lifting switch, lay the brush and squeegee down. Set forward/backward switch to "forward"
position, adjust the speed switch appropriately (turn the switch to proper speed and water yield
based on different types of ground).
Release the manual brake and depress the pedal to start washing. There are two brushes available,
and the width of brush head is 350 mm (13 inches).
NOTE: The type of brush head or cleaning pad is determined by the quantity and type of
contamination particles and type of dirt. For special suggestions, please refer to the brush
information section of this manual or contact the Johnny Vac service team.
BRUSH INFORMATION
For best results, use the appropriate type of brushes for scrubbing. Recommended brushes and
pads are listed as follows:
Synthetic resin brushes - Soft synthetic resin brushes are generally used to scrub particles without
scratching the lighted side finishes of the floor and ground.
Nylon brush - The nylon brush is recommended for scrubbing floors without scratching them.
Pad holder and pad - It is used to scrub floor and painted ground to make it bright and clean.
Attached information:
• Pad holder and pad: 350 mm, 13 inches pad holder.

COMPONENTS INSTALLATION
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Check each battery for damage, cleanliness and visible marks before use. Clean the surface of the
battery with a dry cloth, check the battery cells for open circuit voltage, whether the anode/cathode
are properly identified and whether they are properly connected.
2. Make sure each battery is fixed uprightly without inversion in accordance with drawings; interval
between two neighboring battery cells should be at least 5 mm. Check whether the anode/cathode is
correct according to the drawings after installation, then connect the battery cells with cables.
3. Check each part of all the battery cells for looseness after installation. DO NOT tighten the joints
with excessive force in case of damages to poles.
4. When fixing the whole set of battery cells to the machine, adjust the chocks between two
neighboring battery cells to make sure all the battery cells stand uprightly. Tighten the battery to
avoid shock or bumping.
5. Isolate the components that generate sparks such as main switch, fuse holder, etc from the battery
cells.
6. The battery cells can be fixed to the machine directly since they are at the state of charge before
delivery; when out of service for a long period (more than 2 months), please recharge the battery
cells before use.
7. Keep batteries away from fire , heat, or direct sunlight during summer, nor can the battery cells be
shocked or bumped violently, or short-circuited.
8. Battery capacity is measured at an environment temperature of 25°C . The capacity will drop by
1% every 1°C the temperature declines. So take the impact temperature variation into consideration
during use. DO NOT use batteries when the temperature declines below -10°C.
9. No arbitrary disassembly of battery is allowed in case of danger.
10. Waste batteries must be recycled. DO NOT abandon them to avoid pollution to the environment.
11. Notice battery temperature when charging in case of danger and damages to the batteries cause
