Introduction
ThankyouforchoosingaJUWELAquariumproduct.
Ourproductsrepresentover30yearsexperienceinthemanufacturingofaquariums
andtheiracessoriesapplyingmostmodernproductiontechniquesbringingtogether
theJUWELAquariumsystem,whichisbotheasytouseandsimpletomaintain.
Alwaysunplugallimmersedelectricalequipmentfrommainsbeforeplacingyourhands
intothewater.
GettingStarted
Pleaseproceedinthefollowingsequencetoinstallthenewpowerheadinyourfilter
system:
1.Disconnectallpowersupplytoyouraquarium,mostimportantlytheheaterandthe
powerhead.
2.Allowapprox.30minutesfortheheatertocooldown.
3.Removetheheaterfromtheaquariumandpositionitatasafeplace(donotput
theheaterontoflammablesurfaces).
4.Removethefiltermediabypullingthefilterbasketoutofthefilterhousing.
5.Removetheseparationwall,whichholdsthepowerheadatitsbottom(donotpull
atthepowercord).
6.Assemblethenewseparationwallandthepowerheadholder.
7.Positionthenewpowerheadintotheholderandpressitinsafely,andattachthe
watertube,ifyouuseit.
8.Repositiontheseparationwallintothefilter.
9.Repositionthefiltermediaintheirbasketbackintothefilterbypressingthedown
firmly.
10.Repositiontheheater.
Havingcompletedthesestepscarefully,youmayre-connectthepowersupplyand
starttooperatethefilteragain.

CareandMaintenance
TheJUWELAqauriumPowerheadrequiresverylittlemaintenancebutwerecommend
thatyoucheckitregularlytoensureoptimumperformance.
Inordertomaintainthepowerhead,pleasefollowthefollowingsteps:
1.Disconnecttheheaterandthepowerheadfromthepowersupplyandallowthe
heatertocoolforapprox.30Minutes.
2.Removetheheaterandplaceitonanon-flammable,safesurface.
3.Removethewhitepre-filterpadandthefilterbasketcontainingalltheother
spongesrememberingtopressdownontheseparationwallinthefilterbox.
4.Removetheseparationwall,removethewatertube(ifyouuseit)andthen
separatethepowerheadfromitsholder.
5.Checktheseparationwallandthepowerheadholderforanydamage(replace,if
necessarytoensureefficientoperationofthefilter).
6.Openthepumpbydisconnectingthepumphosingfromthemotorunit.
7.Pullouttheimpellerandcheckthebladesandthemagnetforanysignofwearand
tearordamage.
Thereafterpleasereassemblethefiltersystemsimplyfollowingtheabovestepsin
reverse.

Maintenance de la pompe JUWEL 280
Votre pompe de circulation JUWEL Aquarium n'exige que peu entretien. Vous devriez
cependant vérifier son bon fonctionnement à intervalles réguliers.
Pour vérifier et entretenir la pompe, veuillez procéder de la manière suivante:
1. Retirez la prise de courant de la pompe et du chauffage et laissez le chauffage
refroidir durant 30 minutes env.
2. Sortez le chauffage et posez-le à un endroit sûr.
3. Sortez l'ouate filtrante du filtre et retirez d'une main le panier du filtre hors du
boîtier. Ce faisant maintenez d'abord la cloison avec l'autre main afin de ne pas la sortir
du filtre en même temps.
4. Retirez maintenant la cloison avec la pompe et éventuellement le tuyau ascendant du
boîtier du filtre.
5. Enlevez la pompe du support de pompe.
6. Vérifiez si le support de pompe est endommagé et encrassé.
7. Séparez le boîtier de la pompe du moteur et enlevez l'agitateur à ailes.
8. Nettoyez soigneusement toutes les pièces et contrôlez en particulier l'agitateur à
ailes.
Veuillez ensuite réintroduire la pompe dans le filtre en procédant dans le sens inverse.
Instructions de sécurité:
Veillez à n'utiliser la pompe que dans l'eau.
Avant de sortir la pompe du filtre, veuillez retirer toutes les fiches de courant.
La pompe ne doit être exploitée qu'à l'intérieur et à une température de l'eau
jusqu'à 35°C.
Il ne faut pas réparer la conduite de raccordement. Remplacez toujours la pompe au
complet en cas de détériorations.
Indication:
Afin de garantir le fonctionnement idéal et silencieux de la pompe, nous vous
conseillons de remplacer une pièce à usure telle que l'agitateur à ailes tous les 12
mois environ.
Installation du chauffage dans le Système Filtre JUWEL Compact Super
Le chauffage JUWEL Aquarium est un élément essentiel du système filtre JUWEL.
Son emplacement à l'intérieur du boîtier du filtre et de par ce biais au centre du flux
d'eau assure un réchauffement régulier de l'eau dans l'aquarium.
Le chauffage de l'aquarium JUWEL est livré avec le support qui est nécessaire pour
l'installation.
Pour le Filtre JUWEL Aquarium Compact Super, vous n'avez besoin que d'un support (cf.
Fig. 1).
Accrochez le support à l'endroit conçu à cet effet à l'arrière gauche sur le boîtier du filtre
et assurez-vous qu'il s'enclenche bien.
Introduisez ensuite le chauffage dans le support jusqu'à ce que la tête du chauffage
s'appuie sur le support.
Le chauffage sera en position idéale lorsque la suspension fixée au chauffage se trouvera
sur le bord supérieur du boîtier et la tête du chauffage au-dessus du niveau de l'eau.
Le chauffage est à présent prêt à l'emploi.
Instructions de sécurité:
Installez le chauffage conformément aux indications du mode d'emploi et ne le
raccordez au réseau qu'après avoir rempli l'aquarium d'eau. Le chauffage devrait être
plongé dans l'eau jusqu'à sa profondeur minimale de plongée.
Pour éviter les détériorations sur le chauffage, ne mettez pas le chauffage en
marche hors de l'eau.
Il ne faut utiliser le chauffage qu'à l'intérieur.
Indication:
Pour une température ambiante de 18 degrés Celsius, la puissance du chauffage est
suffisante pour chauffer l'eau jusqu'à 28 degrés.
Si vous utilisez votre aquarium dans des pièces où la température ambiante est
inférieure à celle-ci ou si vous avez des poissons qui ont besoin d'une température
de l'eau plus élevée, nous vous conseillons d'utiliser un deuxième chauffage pour
préserver la santé et le bien-être de vos poissons.

Recommendation:
Inordertoensurethatthepowerheadoperatesatitsoptimumandmaintainsits
lownoiselevel,werecommendtocheckandpotentiallyreplacethepartssubject
towearandtear,suchastheimpellerregularly.
AllsparepartsareavailablefromyourlocalJUWELAquariumretailer.
Safetyinstructions:
Neveroperatethepowerheadoutofwater.
Alwaysunplugthepowerheadfromthepowersupplybeforeremovingitfromthe
filter.
Thepowerheadisintendedforindooruseandforuseinfluidsupto35°C.
Neverrepairtheelectricalcordorplug.Incaseofdamagereplacethecomplete
powerhead.
Properdisposal(electricalwaste)
Thelabellingontheproductorontheaccompanyingliteraturedeclaresthatit
mustnotbedisposedof,attheendofitsservicelife,withtheordinary
householdrubbish.Pleasedisposeofthisequipmentseparatelyfromotherwaste,
toprotecttheenvironmentorpublichealthfromdamagebyunregulatedwaste
disposal.Recycletheequipmentandsupportthesustainedrecyclingofmaterial
resources.
Privateusersshouldcontactthedealerwhosoldthemtheproductorthe
responsibleauthorities,forademonstrationonhowtorecycletheequipmentin
anenvironmentallyfriendlyway.
Guarantee
WeguaranteetheperformanceoftheJUWEL-Aquariumproductoritsaccessoriestothe
purchaserforaperiodof24monthsfromthedateofpurchaseaccordingtothe
followingconditions:
§1Extentoftheguarantee
(1)ThisguaranteeextendstotheJUWEL-Aquariumproductanditscomponents
excludingitemssubjecttowearandtearsuchaslighttubesandfiltermedia.Itis
limitedtotheproductassuchanddoesnotcoverdamagetootherpropertyand/or
individuals.Inaddition,theprovisionsoftheproductliabilitylawapply.These
provisionsarenotlimitedbytheaforementionedarrangement.
(2)ItistheprerogativeofJUWEL-Aquariumtodecidewhethertheguaranteeis
performedbymeansofrepairorreplacement.Ifneitherrepairnorreplacementcan
ensuretheperformanceoftheJUWEL-Aquariumproductthepurchaserisentitledto
demandareductioninpriceortoreturntheproductagainstrepaymentofthe
purchaseprice.
§2Guaranteeperiodandsettlementprocedure
(1)Theguaranteeperiodbeginsonthedayofthepurchaseoftheproductfromthe
retailer.Claimsunderthisguaranteewillnotbehonoured,if
(a)thedamageiscausedasaresultofimproperuseormaintenanceornon-
observanceoftheinstructionsgiveninthismanual
(b)theproductoritscomponentshavebeenmaintainedbypersonsorcompaniesnot
authorisedbythemanufacturertodoso
(c)theproductoritscomponentshavebeendamagedbymechanicalmeansof
whatsoeverkind,inparticularbrokenglass
(2)Allclaimsunderthisguaranteehavetobenotifiedtotheretailer,fromwhomthe
aquariumhasbeenpurchasedwithoutdelay,however,notlongerthan2weeksfrom
thedayoffirstoccurrenceofdefects.Rightsundertheconsumerprotectionlawswill
remainunaffected.
(3)Guaranteeclaimswillonlybeacceptedifthevalidityoftheclaimissupportedby
evidenceofpurchaseoftheJUWEL-Aquariumproduct.
