INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for purchasing JVC speakers.
Before you begin using them, please read the instructions carefully to be
sure you get the best possible performance. If you have any questions,
consult your JVC dealer.

Connection
1. If cords are covered with insulation, twist the core of the cord at the end
of each cord, then remove the insulation.
2. Insert it into the hole while pressing down the terminal lever.
Observe the tag attached to each cord, and use the appropriate cord
for each speaker.

Precautions
Before connecting:
•Make sure to match the polarity (ªand ·) when connecting the
speaker cords.
•Turn off the power to the amplifier before connecting the speaker
system; otherwise, the speakers may be damaged.
•The impedance of each speaker is 6 Ω.
If this does not match with the speaker impedance range indicated on
the amplifier, you cannot connect this system to the amplifier.
•The maximum power handling capacity of the SP-XE5 is 50 W.
Excessive input will result in abnormal noise and possible damage.
Daily operations and maintenance:
• Be sure to turn down the volume level on the amplifier to prevent
unwanted noise before performing following operations:
–Turning on or off other components
–Operating the amplifier
–Tuning FM stations
–Fast-forwarding a tape
–Continuously reproducing high frequency oscillation or high pitch
electronic sounds
–Connecting or disconnecting a microphone
•When using a microphone, do not aim it at the speakers or use it near
the speakers; otherwise, the howling which occurs may damage the
speakers.
• Before replacing the cartridge, always turn off the power both to the
amplifier and to the turntable; otherwise, the clicking noise may
damage the speakers.
Caution
When installing the satellite speakers on the wall;
•Be sure to have them installed on the wall by a qualified personnel.
DO NOT install the satellite speakers on the wall by yourself to avoid
unexpected damage from their falling off the wall due to incorrect
installation or weakness in wall structure.
•Care must be taken in selecting a location for speaker installation on a
wall. Injury to personnel or damage to equipment may result if the
speakers installed interfere with daily activities.
Speaker for A/V combination
SP-XE5 has a magnetically-shielded design for placement adjacent to
TVs and monitors without causing color aberrations. However, color may
be affected as a result of how the speaker system is installed. Therefore,
be careful of the following:
1. When placing these speakers near a TV set, turn off the TV’s main
power switch or unplug it before installing the speakers.
Wait at least 30 minutes after the system is installed before turning on
the TV’s power.
2. If another speaker system has been set up near the TV set, that
system may cause color unevenness in the TV’s picture.
3. In spite of the shielded design of these speakers, some types of TVs
may be affected by them. If this happens, move the speakers a short
distance from the TV set.

注意事項
進行連接之前﹕
˙ 在連接揚聲器導線時請確保對准電極（ª和·）
˙在連接揚聲器系統之前，請首先關閉功率放大器的電源，否則可能損壞揚聲器。
˙每隻揚聲器的阻抗為6Ω。
若揚聲器的阻抗與功率放大器上標示的阻抗範圍一不致，請勿將其連接到功率放大
器。
˙SP-XE5的最大額定功率為50W。超過該值以上的訊號傳入時該機將產生異常噪音並
可能愛到損壞。
日常使用和保養﹕
˙為了防止出現異常噪音，在執行下列操作之前請務必調低功率放大器的音量水平﹕
-啟動或關閉其他組件
-操作功率放大器
-調收FM電臺
-快速向前倒帶
-連續播放高頻振幅或高調的電子音
-連接或拔下麥克風
˙在使用麥克風時，請勿將其朝向揚聲器，亦請勿在揚聲器附近使用，否則顫噪可能
會損壞揚聲器。
˙在更換唱頭之前，請務必將接至功率放大器和接至唱機的電源均關掉，否則喀噪音
可能會損壞揚聲器。
注意
將衛星喇叭安裝在牆上時﹕
˙務必要讓合格的人員將它們安裝在牆上。
切勿自已動手將衛星喇叭安裝在牆上，以免因為安裝不正確或牆壁結構的弱點摔下
來而造成意外傷害。
˙選擇將喇叭安裝在牆上的位置時要小心。如果安裝的喇叭會妨礙日常活動，可能會
對人員或設備造成傷害。
A/V組合揚聲器
SP-XE5具有防磁設計，使之可臨置于電視機和監視器旁而不會引起熒光屏色彩失常。
然而，色彩將因揚聲器系統的位置而受影響，所以請注意下列事項﹕
1. 當靠近電視機安置這些揚聲器時，在安裝之前先關斷電視機的主電源開關或拔出電
源插頭。
在整個系統被裝好后，至少等待30分鐘才可打開電視機的電源。
2. 如果其他的揚聲器系統已被置于電視機旁，則那個系統可能會引起電視機圖像的色
彩不平衡。
3. 盡管這些揚聲器具有防磁設計，但有些電視機仍會受其影響。如果發生此現象，請
稍微移動揚聲器系統離開電視機遠一些。
