WARNING: BEFORE USING BATTERY, read all instructions and cautionary
markings on battery, battery charger and product using this battery. FAILURE
TO FOLLOW THE WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN
ELECTRIC SHOCK, FIRE AND/OR SERIOUS INJURY. Save all warnings
and instructions for future reference.
●Inform your dealer immediately if there is any shipping damage.
DANGER
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
1 DANGER RECHARGE ONLY WITH THE CHARGER specified by the manu-
facturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a
risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
2 ) FOLLOW ALL CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS and do not charge the battery
pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instruc-
tions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range
may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
3 DO NOT CHARGE ANY DAMAGED BATTERY PACKS. Replace damaged
battery packs with battery packs approved by KÄRCHER.

4 DO NOT SUBMERGE THE BATTERY IN WATER or other liquids.
5 WHEN BATTERY PACK IS NOT IN USE, keep it away from other metal ob-
jects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects,
that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery
terminals together may cause burns or a firer.
6 DO NOT EXPOSE A BATTERY PACK or appliance to fire or excessive tem-
perature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F. may cause explosion.
7 UNDER ABUSIVE CONDITIONS, liquid may be ejected from the battery;
avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts
eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may
cause irritation or burns.
8 DO NOT USE A BATTERY PACK or appliance that is damaged or modified.
Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting
in fire, explosion or risk of injury. Check battery pack for damages prior every
use.
9 REMOVE THE BATTERY PACK from the appliance before carrying out any
service or cleaning work.
10DO NOT STORE the battery pack in a wet environment.

11DO NOT OPEN THE BATTERY. Repairs are only to be carried out by qualified
personnel.
12DO NOT MODIFY or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack (as
applicable) except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.
13HAVE SERVICING PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED REPAIR PERSON using
only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product
is maintained.
14CHILDREN MUST NOT PLAY WITH THE BATTERY.
15CHILDRENMUST BE SUPERVISED to prevent them from playing with the
battery.
16DO NOT USE THE BATTERYPACK when dirty or wet.
17DO NOT PUT THE BATTERY PACK into the battery mount of the charger or
appliance if it is dirty or wet.

Safety instructions
●Check the battery pack for damages before every operation. Do not use any
damaged battery packs.
●Remove the battery pack from the device before carrying out any service or
care work.
●Do not subject the battery pack to mechanical stress.
●Do not drop the battery pack.
●Do not immerse the battery pack in water or hold it under a water stream.
●Do not use the battery pack in a dirty or wet condition.
●If the battery pack gets wet, dry it immediately. Make sure that no moisture
remains on the contacts.
●Do not store or charge the battery pack in a damp or wet environment.
●Only charge the battery pack with the approved chargers.
●Do not charge the battery pack in explosive environments. Check the condi-
tion of the battery pack and charger regularly during the charging process.
●If you notice a fault, unusual smells or the development of heat during charg-
ing, disconnect the charger from the mains and the battery pack from the

charger. Dispose of the battery pack and charger immediately and follow the
applicable regulations on transport and disposal.
●Do not use, charge or store the battery pack in an explosive environment or
near flammable objects.
●Do not throw the battery pack into fire.
●Protect the battery pack against heat, sharp edges, oil, solvents, detergents
and moving unit parts.
●Short circuit hazard. Protect the contacts of the battery pack from metal parts
and do not store it together with metal parts.
●Do not open the battery pack. Repairs are only to be carried out by qualified
personnel.
●Avoid contact with fluid leaking from defective batteries. Immediately rinse off
the fluid using water if contact is made, and also consult a doctor in the event
of contact with the eyes.
●Dispose of the battery pack at the end of its service life in accordance with the
applicable regulations.

Safety instructions for transportation
The lithium-ion battery is subject to the requirements of dangerous goods regu-
lations.
The battery pack can be transported by the user in public traffic areas without
any further restrictions.
When shipping by third parties (transport companies), special requirements for
packaging and labelling must be observed.
Do not use the battery pack if the casing is damaged.
Tape off open contacts.
Pack the battery tightly and securely. The battery pack must not be able to move
in the packaging.
DANGER
●A defective or non-functional battery pack must not be mailed and must be dis-
posed of on site in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Observe the national regulations.

General notes
Read the original instructions and the operating instructions for the KÄRCHER
Battery Power 4 V device/charger in which the battery pack is to be used or
charged before using the battery pack for the first time.
Keep all books for future reference or for the future owner.

Charge, use and store only undamaged and fully functional battery packs.
Modifications and changes not authorised by the manufacturer are prohibited.
Any other use is prohibited. The user shall be liable for hazards arising as a re-
sult of improper use.

Charge and use the battery pack only with devices from the KÄRCHER 4 V Bat-
tery Power System.
ATTENTION
Battery packs can only be used with devices with the voltage type of the
KÄRCHER 4 V Battery Power System! Do not use or charge battery packs with
devices with a different voltage type.
Before use, check that the voltage type of the battery pack and the device match.
The voltage information can be found on the device, on the battery pack and its
nameplate.
Information about the charging process
Note
New battery packs are only pre-charged and must be fully charged before first
use.
New battery packs reach their full capacity after approx. 5 charging and dis-
charging cycles.
Charge battery packs that have not been used for a long time before use.

The battery pack cannot be charged outside the permissible temperature value
range.
Note
The charging current and the necessary charging time is temperature-depend-
ent for safety reasons.
Environmental protection
The packing materials can be recycled. Do not dispose of packaging as
household rubbish but place it in recycling.
Old devices contain valuable, recyclable materials that should be recycled.
Batteries and battery packs contain substances which should not be re-
leased into the environment. Therefore, please dispose of old devices, bat-
teries and battery packs using suitable collection systems.
Adhere to the recommendations of the legislature regarding the handling of lith-
ium ion batteries. Dispose of used and defective battery packs in accordance
with the applicable regulations.

Warranty
The warranty conditions issued by our relevant sales company apply in all coun-
tries. We shall remedy possible malfunctions on your appliance within the war-
ranty period free of cost, provided that a material or manufacturing defect is the
cause. In a warranty case, please contact your dealer (with the purchase re-
ceipt) or the next authorised customer service site.

Troubleshooting guide
Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the
following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned
here, please contact your authorised Customer Service.
The connected device does not work
The battery pack is not inserted into the device correctly.
1. Follow the instructions in the device's operating instructions.
The battery pack is not charged.

3 NE CHARGEZ PAS DE BLOCS-BATTERIES ENDOMMAGÉS. Remplacez
les blocs-batteries endommagés par des blocs-batteries approuvés par KÄR-
CHER.
4 N’IMMERGEZ PAS LA BATTERIE DANS L’EAU ou tout autre liquide.
5 LORSQUE LE BLOC-BATTERIE N’EST PAS UTILISÉ, éloignez-le des
autres objets métalliques, tels que trombones, pièces de monnaie, clés,
clous, vis ou autres petits objets métalliques susceptibles d’établir une
connexion d’une borne à une autre. Un court-circuit entre les bornes de la bat-
terie peut provoquer des brûlures ou un incendie.
6 N’EXPOSEZ PAS UN BLOC-BATTERIE ou un appareil au feu ou à une tem-
pérature excessive. L’exposition au feu ou à une température supérieure à
265 °F (129 °C) peut provoquer une explosion.
7 DANS DES CONDITIONS D’UTILISATION ABUSIVE, du liquide peut être
