Hexagonsocketboltsarenotdesignedtowithstandan
excessiveapplicationofforce.Whentighteningorundoing
ahexagonsocketbolt,forceshouldbeappliedtothenut
whereverpossibletoavoiddamagingthebolt.
Tighteningandundoing
Turnthenutusingasocketspanner(onlyuseanopen-end
spannerifthereisinsufcientspace),usingtheAllenkey
simplytostoptheboltturning.
Tighteningandundoingwhennonutispresent
Ifahexagonsocketboltisscreweddirectlyintoathread,
theboltmustbetightenedusingtheAllenkey.
EnsurethattheAllenkeyisofgoodqualityandnotworn.

Dirt,sandandseawatercandamagethebearingsandsteelpartscanrustifthesurfaceisdamaged.
–Onlyexposethewheelchairtosandandseawaterforshortperiodsandcleanitaftereverytriptothebeach.
–Ifthewheelchairisdirty,wipeoffthedirtassoonaspossiblewithadampclothanddryitcarefully.
1.Removeanyinstalledoptionalequipment(onlyoptionalequipmentwhichdoesnotrequiretools).
2.Wipedowntheindividualpartsusingaclothorsoftbrush,ordinaryhouseholdcleaningagents(pH=6-8)and
warmwater .
3.Rinsethepartswithwarmwater.
4.Thoroughlydrythepartswithadrycloth.
Carpolishandsoftwaxcanbeusedonpaintedmetalsurfacestoremoveabrasionsandrestoregloss.

Anadhesive(e.g.hairspray)isusedintheseinstructions.Whenappliedtothehandle,thissubstanceworksasa
lubricantandasanadhesiveoncedry.
CAUTION!
Riskofaccidentsduetothehandlecomesloose
–Afterdrying,theadhesiveusedmustbeabletoresistapull-offforceof750N.Ifindoubt,contactInvacare.

2.Removeanyresidue(residualadhesive,grease,dust)fromthepush

3.Applyathinlayerofhairsprayalloverthesurfaceofthepush
handletubeontowhichthehandleistobeslid.
4.Applyathinlayerofhairspraytotheinsideofthehandle.
5.Slidethenewhandleontothepushhandletube.
6.Movethehandleintothecorrectposition(groovesfacingupwards).
Ifalonghandlehasbeenttedandthisistobereplacedwithashort
one,thepushhandletubemustbeshortenedby35mm.
Thepushhandletubemustbereplacedwhenswitchingfromashortto
alonghandle.
