Thispreventsthewheelchairfromunfoldingaccidentally(e.g.
duringtransport).
1.Releasebothsidesoftheseatbagfromtheclipfastener(if
fitted).
2.Foldthewheelchair(7.2Foldingandunfoldingthewheelchair,
page31)andclipbothendsofthesecuringstraptogether.
4.2Posturebelt
Thewheelchaircanbeequippedwithaposturebelt.Itprevents
theuserfromslidingdownwardinthewheelchairorfromfalling
outofthewheelchair.Theposturebeltisnotapositioningdevice.

Aloosebeltcanallowtheusertoslipdownand
createariskofstrangulation.
–Theposturebeltshouldbemountedbya
qualifiedtechnicianandfittedbytheresponsible
prescriber.

–Eachtimetheposturebeltisused,checkifit
