16. Do not leave unit unattended during use.
17. Always use the product on a clean, flat, hard, dry surface. There
should e no material such as a ta lecloth or plastic etween
the unit and surface. A fire may occur if this appliance is
covered, or touching flamma le material, including curtains,
draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
18. It is a solutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times
as it comes into direct contact with food.
19. Be careful not to scratch the non-stick coating of the cooking
plate, as you might get little pieces of this coating into the food. If
scraping is necessary, unplug the appliance and use a classic
wooden spatula or a heat resistant plastic one.
20. The appliance shall not e operated using a separate timer or
separate remote device.

POLARIZED PLUG INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one lade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit
into the polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not properly
fit into the outlet at first, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards
resulting from ecoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords may e used if care is exercised in their use.
• The electrical rating of the extension cord should e at least
that of the appliance. If the electrical rating of the extension
cord is too low, it could overheat and urn.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Remove all the protective packaging.
• When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a
damp cloth, then dry. DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER!
• On first use, some protective coating might urn off, causing
smoking. This is NOT harmful and will disappear after a short time.
• Position the appliance on a flat, heat-resistant, level surface.
• Plug the appliance in a wall outlet, and let the cooking plates heat
for 10 minutes until all the residue has urned off. Let the plates
cool completely and clean according to the paragraph
“CLEANING”.



OPERATION
• Position the appliance on a flat, heat-resistant, level surface.
• Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet. The red
power light (6) will come on, to indicate that the appliance is
switched on.
• The green temperature pilot light (7) will stay off, to indicate the
appliance is warming up. When the green pilot light goes on, it
means that the preset cooking temperature is reached and unit is
ready for use.
Note: During use, this pilot light will come on and off regularly. This
simply means that the thermostat is regulating the appliance's
temperature.
Caution: During operation, the aking plates and the surfaces on the
appliance get hot. The appliance might also generate steam. Pay
attention not to get urned. Always use oven mitts for protection,
when opening or closing the lid.
• Open the appliance, using the front handle and an oven mitt.
Avoid contact with the hot surfaces.
• Lightly rush the cooking plates (2) (3) with utter, margarine, or
cooking oil. For est results, use a cooking spray.
• Pour the atter evenly into the sections of the ottom plate (3),
filling ½ to ¾ of each cavity (Do not overfill!), and close the lid of
the appliance.
• Bake until the top of the rownies egin to crack. Doneness can
e measured y inserting a toothpick into the middle (it should
come out still a little gooey, not dry, ut with crum s on it)
• When the rownies are ready, remove them with a plastic or
wooden spatula, or y inserting a fork or a stick from the sides of
the rownies. Never use any sharp metallic o jects, as this might
damage the non-stick coating of the plates.
• Leave the rownies to cool on a plate or on a rack.
• When aking is finished, unplug the cord from the wall socket
and leave the appliance open to cool.



Tips:
• Prepare all the ingredients and atter efore starting to preheat
the appliance.
• Fill the sections easily using disposa le pastry ags or seala le
plastic food storage ags with their corner clipped.
• Actual cooking time may vary, depending on the ingredients
and type of cakes; in general, count 9 to 12 minutes cooking time
per atch, for rownies (some other cake recipes, also possi le
to cook with this appliance, can e much faster). The more
atches you do, the lower the cooking time.
• Different recipes may rise differently while cooking. Pre-test a new
atter efore starting full atches of rownies, in order to see the
optimal level of atter needed to manage well formed rownies,
ut avoid overflows.
• The cake mixture should e fairly thick, ut fluid enough to drop
off a spoon. Use enough mixture to ensure it fills at least ½ of the
aking cavity.
• When aked, do not pile up the cakes on top of one another,
otherwise they will soften. Place them on a wire rack to cool
down and then sprinkle with sugar or add icing if desired.
• Do not use too much aking powder.
• A lot of types of cakes, not only rownies, can e aked with the
appliance, ut efore experimenting, do at least gain some
experience y preparing some asic recipes. Cooking may vary
vastly depending on the recipe.
See elow for some cake / rownie recipes. Brownie / Cake mixes
are also a convenient way to make a atter.



CLEANING
• Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down
completely.
• Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that
no moisture, oil or grease enters the cooling slots.
• Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with a paper towel or
soft cloth.
• Do not clean the inside or outside with any a rasive scouring pad
or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
• If there is any stu orn atter aked onto the plate, we advise
using vegeta le oil to soften it first, and then waiting 5 minutes
efore trying to remove it again.
• DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE, POWER CORD, OR PLUG, IN
WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
• The appliance can e stored vertically: for this, make sure the
appliance is cool, then secure the locking clip on the handle to
make sure the appliance will stay closed, and put away after
winding the power cord loosely around the ca le storage hooks
under the ase.
Note: You can wrap the power cord around the hooks situated
under the appliance, for storage, or if the cord is too long during use.



RECIPES
Easy Brownies
For approx. 24 rownies
2 cups dark chocolate chips
14 t sp. utter
1 ¼ cups rown sugar
3 large eggs
¾ cup flour
Vegeta le oil for greasing (or oil
spray)
Pinch of salt
2 tsp. aking powder
Instructions:
• Melt 5/6
th
of the chocolate and the utter together in a owl
using the ain-marie (or microwave) method, making sure the
chocolate does not come in contact with water. Stir well to
com ine, and then leave to cool.
• Place the rown sugar in a owl and stir with a whisk. Add one
egg at a time and eat sugar and eggs together until pale in
color.
• Pour in the melted chocolate and utter, until the chocolate has
een incorporated.
• Sift the flour, aking powder and salt together and then add this
to the chocolate mixture, along with remaining chocolate
pieces; mix gently until the flour has een incorporated.
• Pre-heat the Brownie Maker, and after oiling the cooking plates,
add the mixture in each cavity (do not fill over ½ or 2/3 full).
• Close the lid and cook for etween 7-8 minutes, efore checking
if ready with a toothpick. These cakes shall e firm to the touch
ut still a it gooey inside. The toothpick shall come out with little
crum s on it.
• Remove the rownies from the plates and allow them to cool on
a wire rack.
• Repeat the process until the mixture is used up.



Carrot Cakes
For approx. 24 portions
8 t sp. unsalted utter, softened
1 ¼ cups rown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 ½ cups plain flour
½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. aking powder
5 Oz. finely grated carrots
¾ cup chopped walnuts
Vegeta le oil for greasing (or oil
spray)
Cream cheese topping:
7 Oz. cream cheese
¼ cup confectioner sugar
1 orange, grated zest, optional
Instructions:
• Melt utter and sugar together in a saucepan until incorporated,
leave to cool shortly, and then add the eggs, 1 at a time, eating
well.
• Add the remaining ingredients, eating well. Stir in the walnuts at
the end.
• Pre-heat the Brownie Maker, and after oiling the cooking plates,
add the mixture in each cavity (do not fill over ½ or 2/3 full).
• Close the lid and cook for etween 6-7 minutes, efore checking
if ready with a toothpick. The toothpick shall come out still a it
wet with little crum s on it.
• Repeat the process until the mixture is used up.
For the frosting
• Beat the cream cheese and confectioner sugar until creamy.
• Add ½ of the orange zest and mix to com ine.
• Spread the frosting on top of the carrot cakes and sprinkle the
remaining zest.



“Special 3” Brownies
For approx. 24 rownies
13 t sp. utter
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1/3 cup white chocolate chips
1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup plain flour
5 t sp. cocoa powder
3 large eggs
1 ¼ cup caster sugar
Instructions:
• Melt the dark chocolate chips and the utter together in a owl
using the ain-marie or microwave method, making sure the
chocolate does not come in contact with water. Stir well to
com ine, and then leave to cool.
• Mix together the sieved flour and cocoa powder in a owl.
• Beat the eggs and the sugar together until creamy and pale.
• Add the melted chocolate to the eggs and sugar mixture and
gently stir together.
• Add the sifted flour and cocoa mixture to this and carefully mix
together with a spoon. Add the milk and white chocolate pieces
and stir gently.
• Pre-heat the Brownie Maker, and after oiling the cooking plates,
add the mixture in each cavity (do not fill over ½ or 2/3 full).
• Close the lid and cook for etween 7-8 minutes, efore checking
if ready with a toothpick. These cakes shall e firm to the touch
