Read the instruction booklet before using this device. This device must be
operated with an external timer that is in compliance with UL 917. The max-
imum tanning time must not be exceeded. This device may be used only by
persons over 18 years and is intended to be used by only one person at a
time. To use, lie down under canopy and pull down as far as adjustment will
allow.
CAUTION: THE USE OF ANY OTHER POSITION MAY RE-
SULT IN OVEREXPOSURE. Tanning can begin on a regular ba-
sis. An appearance of tanning normally appears after a few expos-
ures and maximizes after four (4) weeks of exposure.
WARNING: As the device is intended to be used by only one person at a
time, only one (1) pair of protective eyewear is provided with each KBL 3500.
Use protective eyewear whenever equipment is ener-
gized. Read the instruction booklet before using.
Follow the exposure schedule in accordance with your skin type. Fai-
lure to do so may result in overexposure. However, regardless of how dark
an individual may tan on this system, it will not provide adequate protec-
tions against overexposure to natural sunlight or UVB tanning systems.
SKIN TYPE II - This is the individual that usually burns easily
and severely, tans minimally or lightly and peels
SKIN TYPE III - Often referred to as „AVERAGE“ comple-
xion. Burns moderately and tans about average
SKIN TYPE IV - This individual burns minimally, tans
easily and above average with each exposure
SKIN TYPE V - This individual rarely burns, tans easily and substantially

Timer operation
This device must be operated with an external timer that is in compli-
ance with UL 917. The maximum tanning time must not be exceeded.
Using different audio sources
The option of using a music source is not included
in the standard model of the sunbed.
The audio source can be provided by the internal MP3 player of the
sunbed, an external audio source or both. The control panel allows
you to alternate between the internal and external audio sources.
When using the internal MP3 player, you can play the music that is
supplied on the SD card or you can store your own tracks on it.
As an external audio source, you can connect a device ranging from
the standard line level to the loudspeaker level. The required level
adjustment is done via the potentiometer on the audio board.
For further information, please refer to the chapters

Tanning instructions
Tanning normally begins after one to two exposures and
maximizes after one to four (1-4) weeks of exposure following
the recommended schedule for your skin type.
Cosmetics and even sunscreens are unsuitable for use in a tanning
studio. For tanning, the skin should be thoroughly cleaned and dry.
We particularly recommend the use of our AfterSun line of bodycare
products after tanning. That way your skin gets optimal care.
Instructions for the user
Observe the following tanning instructions:
Only the individuals described in the chapter “Intended use” may use
the sunbed.
The different skin types tolerate the sun and hence tanning times
to a different degree. Please observe the specifications in the skin
type table (supplied with the unit) and the tanning times. After having
reached the ultimate tan, further tanning can only be achieved by
substantially exceeding the allowed tanning times. This has to be
avoided in any case.
The UV radiation of the sun or UV appliances can cause damage to
the skin or to the eyes. These biological effects depend on the type
and amount of radiation as well as on the individual sensitivity of the
skin.
After excessive radiation the skin might exhibit sunburn. Excessively
repeated exposure to UV radiation of sunlight or UV appliances
can lead to premature ageing of the skin and to a higher risk of skin
cancer.
The unprotected eye can suffer from surface inflammation and in
certain cases, e.g. after a cataract operation, excessive radiation can
damage the retina. After many repeated sessions a cataract might
form.
Do not expose yourself to UV radiation if you take medicine that
increase the sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation. When in doubt, seek
medical advice.
It cannot generally be assumed that the use of a sunbed reduces the
risk of getting a sunburn.
Seek medical advice if persistent swellings or skin sores develop or
pigmented moles change in appearance.
