Operating yourKenmore_byEdenPURE_
1) Beforestartingoperation, lift heater from box. We recommendkeeping the packagingfor off-
seasonstorageand any transportneeds.
2) Findalevel andunobstructedlocationto placethe unpackagedheater.
3) Donotpluganyotherappiicmcesinwhileheater isrunning.
4) Plugthe powercord directly intoan unusedgrounded120 volt15 amp circuitreceptacle. The
powerbuttonwiUilluminateandthe heaterwilt beep,indicatingthe unitispluggedintothe
receptacle.
If usingthe remote,insertbatteriesintothebattery compartmentonthe remotecontrol
PressthePOWERbuttoninthecontrolpot++to turnonlee heater.
Switchthe Mode Key to "High" in order to have the heater stayonhigh heat and notcydeon
and off.
8) Theheaterisequlppedwithatemperaturelimitingcontrolcontainedinsidetheunit.If the heaterstops
working,it couldbe becauseithasreacheditstemperaturetrait.Shutthe poweroff,unplugunitand
let the unitcool down[Approximately3045 minutes),pluginunit,turnthepower backonand resume

IMPORTANT FEATUREAND INSTRUCTION:Toturn the heater off, press the '+Power" button;
the fan will continueto run until atl of the heat has been expelled and will leon turn off. This
could up to 5 minutesin somecases.DO NOT UNPLUGWHILE RUNNING.

HeaterStorage- When the heater isnotgoingto be usedfor an extended period of time+do the
following:
1) Unplugthe heater.
2) Wind up electricalcordso asto keep it off of the ground.
3) Coverthe heater to prevent dustfromaccumulatingon flffer or internally.
4) Storethe heater tn a dry, low dust environment.Preferably intee original box.

Kenmore®byEdenPURE_Heaterscome equipped with a washablelifetime filter on the rear of the unit
that iseasyto clean.
IMPORTANTINFORMATION:If you haveallergiesand/or are sensitiveto dust,you will wantto usethis
filter. When choosing to usethe filter0it must be cleaned asoften asnecessary;a clogged filter will
preventthe heater from workingto its fuUcapacity.
To clean the filler:
I) Pressthe tab(s)on the top of the fiffer cover to release thefilter. (Seepicture)
2) Runwarmtap water overthefilter in the oppositedirection of air flo%untffwater runsclear. The
filter might excretesomefiltered residue,sobe cautiousnotto drip onany stainablesurfacessuch
as carpeting. Youcan alsosoakthefilter inwater mixedwith asmall amountof mild dishsoap
(don'tforget to rinse withwater after soakingfilter).
3) Shakethefilter overa sinkuntilexcesswater isremoved and allowit to drip drycompletelybefore
reinstalling. DO NOT forcethe flter to dry usingany alternativemethods.
4) Reinstallthe filter to the rear of the unitby positioningthe filter backin place and securingthe
f]lter cover back intothe lockedposition.

Toassuremaximumperformance of the Kenmore®by EdenPUR_ heater, please note the following
recommendations:
1) Forbestresults,do not Iocate the heaterin an area witha highrate of air filtrationand
movementasthe warm air will be exhausted.
2) Tryplacingthe heater near a warmer insidewaif and directthe outputtowarda cooler outside
wall. Thecooler outsidewall wiff tend to draw thegenerated heat toward itself_whichwillallow
for moreefficientheating.
3} Placingtheheater next to acold air returnwill draw the heat away from area to be heated.
Try closingorcovering the cold air return. Thiswill allow for moreefficientheating. Experiment
with the placementof the heater to see what worksbestfor you.

Toensuremaximum efficiency, a40% (minimum)relative humidity shouldbe maintained[nthe
heated environmentto acheive softheat.
Theheaters are designedto operate for maximumefficiencyina room temperaturerangefrom
68°to 72 °F. Dueto the soft heat concept, a temperatureof 68 degreeswill feel asthoughit
were 72 degrees. Thisisdue to theheat mixingevenlywithhumidity for _'head-to-toe" comfort.
When theheater is placed in an isolated area, i.e. basementor recreation area, the delivery
registers and air return grillsof the existing systemshouldbe closedin thatarea if possible.
In roomswith large areas of bare concrete,try placingthe heater a few feet above the floor.
Make surethe heater is secureand won'tfall. Thiswill allow for moreefficientheating since
concreteactsas aheat sinkand will tend to draw the heat in itsdlrection,
Trybwering your central heating systemto alower temperature and placingthe heater inthe
area you spendthe maiarity of your time. Now setthe Kenmore®by EdenPUR_heater to your
comfort level. After all, there is nopointheating multipleroomswhenthey are not In use.
Whenheatinglarger areas,placetheheater inacentrallocotiorL If aceilingfan isnearby,try using
itat thesametimeto help distributetheheatevenly. Our sugges_on,giveit atry and seewhat works
bestfor you.

Whydoes the Blower Fan keep runningafter I have turnedoff the Power buffon?
TheBlower Fanwill continueto rununtiltheunit'sheatchambershavecooled down. After a fewminutes
thefan willshutoff automatically.
Can the heating elements be replaced?
Yes.When needed,please calf 1-800-839-0966.
The heater'sairflow seemsto have diminished.
Make surethe rear intake isnotblockedand that the filter isclean. Followthe procedurein the"To
Clean Filter"sectionof thisbooklet.
Can the heater be used in a bathroom?
No. It isnotrecommended due to the highlevel of moisturein abathroom.
Will Ibe able to use the heaterin a basement?
Yes,but keep in mind that roomswith little insulationwill notretain theheat as efficiently. Bare
concrete floors,whichact as a heatsinkwithany type of heating_will absorbsomeof the heat.
Placingthe heater afew feet above the floor willallow for more efficientheating.
Can tuse more than one heater at a time?
Yes,but youshould makesuretheyare not on the samecircuit. Eachheater and applianceshouldbe
on itsowndrcuit.
Can I usethe heater on a iob/€onstruction site?
No. Thisheater isfor domestic householduseonly. Usingthe heater for this purpose will void your
warranty.
Can I move the heater aroundwhile it is operating?
No. It [snotrecommendedto moveany portable heaterwhile it isoperating. We recommendmoving
the heater only after thefan hascompletely turnedoff.
What is the life expedancy of an Kenmore®byEdenPUREeQuartz Healing Element?
Average element tile is20,000 hours. TheQuartz HeatingElementsare replaceable by
professionalswhen you call 1-800-839-0966.
Can I use the heater and anotherappliance at the sametime?
Yes,as longasthey are noton the samecircuit. Zoneheatersare considered to be an appliance.
You shouldnot run more than onelarge appliance on asinglecircuitbreaker. Yourfreezer,
refrigerator, microwaveoven,washing machine,dryer, and othersuchappliancesshouldnotsharea
circuitbreaker.
Can I use an extension cord,surge protector,or power sfflp with my heater?
NO. It isnotrecommended. It isdesigned to plugdirectly intoa grounded 120 volt 15 amp circuit
receptacle.
I don'thave a grounded outlet;can I use a cord adapter or remove the grounding plug?
NO. ]f youdon't have a groundedoutlet,contacta licensedelectrician inyourarea to hoveone
installed. Removingor alteringany part of the heater will void thewarranty.
My heater lost power.
Unplug from wall, checkfilter to make certain that it isclean,and ptug backin.tf unitdoesnot
